you're forgetting the many years of martial arts / survival training, and his multiple black belts. =P 2 of my uncles are a black belt. if you're that high, there's something about all the meditation, you can just turn off the pain, not feel it. i've sen them do it. so marik would be hurting later, but not at the moment.

plus, adrenaline is one of the best painkillers there is.

BH kneed Marik again and punched him in the face with his other hand. He then grabbed a smoke pellet out of his pack and threw it at Marik's eyes.

OOC: When I think about it, he's pretty much kneeing you three times as hard as you're punching him, Mtm. And that's the second one you took. =P

Marik howled, and BH managed to roll away and escape.

IC:

BH grabbed a nearby chair and slammed it against the wall, breaking it. He then threw it at Marik's head and jumped out the window.

Marik blasted the smoke-filled air away telekinetically, and looked around. taking his rifle, he ran after the hunter.

BH picked up a nearby car and threw it up at the window he knew Marik would be coming out of briefly.

marik tripped over the remnants of the chair, and heard an explosion. peeking out, he saw a car lodged in the wall, where he was going to jump out the window.

Marik ran down the stairs.

BH ran over to a truck parked next to the where car he had just thrown used to be. He thought about throwing it, then realized there was a more useful way to use it than throwing it. He got in, hotwired the car and started driving back up the mountains. "If he follows me, he'll end up at camp, and there's no way he could survive that. I think I'll get something to eat first, though." He put on a fleshmask to make him look like another person, and deactivated his arm cannon, then put it in the chair next to him. He drove over to the nearest McDonalds. "5-Piece Chicken Selects Combo and a Large Coke."

Marik looked around. His prey was gone. Marik hung his head. They got away. They NEVER got away. He never allowed hunters to get away. Looking up at the school, he recalled the hunter he had seen using powers, and sighed. He couldn't trust these people, be he couldn't do this alone, either.

Marik then noticed a truck going about 150 mph with the windows down and Rascal Flatts blaring on the radio. The driver was eating some chicken with one hand and driving with the other. He had some sort of weapon on the seat next to him and was driving up towards the mountains.

OOC: Note, though, that BH is wearing a fleshmask. For all Marik knows this could be BH or some random psycho. =P

marik, not seeing the inside of the vehicle as it was traveling 150 mph, decided he was hungry (he smelled chicken nuggets), and set off across the street to the denny's there. getting weird looks, Marik realized he looked war-torn and beat up. ignoring the onlookers, he ordered a plate of chicken fried steak and a cappuccino, and leaned back, sighing.

BH tried to take a drink of his soda and realized it was now empty. "Idiot gave me a medium..." He checked his recipt. He had been charge for a large. He turned the car around and drove back towards the McDonalds. When he got there, he froze. There was a line at the drive through, and he could see that Marik was inside." Uh-oh." He grabbed his arm cannon and put it in the glovebox, then adjusted his mask to make sure it was on tight enough. It then occured to him he was still wearing the same clothes, and they looked awful. If Marik saw him, he would recognize BH, mask or not. He tried to pull out of the drive-through, but another car drove up behind him and boxed him in. "Shoot."

OOC: someone said shoot? *takes out gun*

IC: marik sighed, and looked out the window. it was taking a while to make his food... no, it couldn't be. right outside the window was BH, though his face was different, the fact that he looked like he was just in a loosing battle with a crocodile was a dead giveaway, as were the red marks covering his arm that was usually a gun. ignoring BH, Marik concentrated on the engine of the truck, and felt the engine, with a simple mental yank, a hose was disconnected, , and a wire was thrown, connecting the spark plugs to the gas tank. "take cover" Marik screamed as the car exploded.

OOC: I don't know if I should laugh or cry. =P

IC:

BH saw Marik staring at him, and suddenly the car burst into flames. "WHAT THE-!?!" He sort of hopped over to the seat next to him, pulled his gun out of the car and tried to open the door. It wasn't working. "GREAT." He swung his cannon arm at the door several times, loosening it. His back was starting to catch on fire, and the other side of the car...exploded. The door was weak enough that he was blown out of the car and landed on the door. "I. HATE. MARIK." He got up, despite how bad he felt all over his body, picked up the flaming car, and threw it through the glass window of the McDonalds and at Marik.

however, by this point, marik had evacuated the restaurant into the street. when the flamining car hit, the fire quickly spread to the kitchens, where the oil for the fryers ignited as well. within moments, the entire building was an inferno.

OOC: *shakes head* how could you? that was FOOD!

IC:

BH ran over to the parking lot of a grocery store and hotwired a new car, then drove off. "Still didn't get my large..." he grumbled. "Oh well."

Marik groaned, then walked back to the school. mabye the cafeteria was still open.....

BH started driving up the mountain to camp-then remembered why he came here in the first place. "Kaze..." he muttered, and turned around. "What happened to Haven, anyway?"
