The sand swirled as if to emulate rolling an eye, and then dropped to the ground.

OOC: This is kinda fun. =P Now you get the picture, however. =P

Skye focused on the sand, then closed her eyes and imagined it shaping into steps that led her to whatever was "up there". She opened them, and to her surprise the sand had indeed formed steps. "How weird is that? I didn't even feel the wind form the steps." She carefully stepped on the first one, testing to see if it was solid. It was. "Well... I guess I better see what's up there."

The steps led up, and sure enough another cloud passed by and was parted by... something. However, there were still many more steps.

Skye hurried up the steps, and hoped that whatever was up there didn't have any windows.

One thing that could've been noticed, however, as Skye was getting closer to whatever it was; something was shimmering.

Aki reached out with his left hand again, and, concentrating intensely, he managed to produce the beam again.  This time it dragged a Chaos Hunter straight to Aki.  Unfortunately, Aki was concentrating too hard on actually producing the beam, so the Hunter smashed into him head-on.  Aki's head was a little harder, so he remained conscious, but he still went flying.  It was only once he was airborne that he realized that it wasn't just the impact that had launched him.

Aki landed hard on one of the catwalks and saw that both of his allies had been launched as well.  He looked to the point of impact, and saw singe marks.  The remains of the Chaos Hunter were nowhere to be seen.  An explosion.  "Must have set off one of his grenades," he mumbled.  Aki wavered on the edge of unconsciousness, as blood flowed from his wounds.  "Not...good..." he said weakly.

The newcomer sighed, and got up slowly, and ran over to Aki, and concentrated, as he healed Aki's wounds slowly.
"Well; you still used your powers better for the first try than most people do."

Skye didn't notice the shimmering, due to the sun being in her eyes. She continued to climb the stairs...

However; at one point, the steps led right to the shimmering section, which turned out to actually be a non-damaging forcefield, that knocked Skye back, due to not seeing it.

OOC: *Whistles innocently* And by non-damaging, I mean you're still thrown back, but not turned into fried Skye. =P

The newcomer sighed, and got up slowly, and ran over to Aki, and concentrated, as he healed Aki's wounds slowly.
"Well; you still used your powers better for the first try than most people do."

Marik shrugged his head back and his helmet retreated into his armor. "So who are you then?" He asked the newcomer.

Skye tottered on the edge of one of the steps, then regained her balance. She hesitantly approached the spot where the force field was, and picked up a handful of sand and threw it. When the sand hit the forcefield, it stuck, for a few seconds, then slid down. "Hm... maybe if enough sand got stuck to it, it would shut down?" she wondered aloud.

Marik shrugged his head back and his helmet retreated into his armor. "So who are you then?" He asked the newcomer.

"I...I don't know..."  A whisper passed through Aki's mind... Murasaki Akihabra...  "Watashi no namae wa Mursaki Akihabra desu.  Doozo yoroshiku onegaishimasu," Aki said without thinking.  He looked around, confused.  "But, uh, you can call me Aki.  I think."

OOC: For the record: Aki is not native Japanese; he was born to immigrants in the USA.    Not that HE knows that...

"... In english, please?" The other Chosen One asked with a blink, and paused as Marik asked for his name.
"I'm Shiro Hunter..." The Chosen One said, as he deactivated his armour, to reveal a young man around 19, with white hair, and orange eyes. He was dressed in grey clothes, that fit the colour scheme of his armour.
"Chosen One of Magnetism."

[Flipz]

"Akihabra Murasaki.  Chosen One (I guess) of...something.  Just call me Aki."  Aki examines his left arm again, and his Ki Whip activates.  It grabs the ceiling, slams Aki into it, and deactivates, dropping him back to the catwalk.  He's not seriously hurt, be he looks seriously annoyed.  "Can someone tell me how to work this thing before it ends up killing me?!" he says, accidentally grabbing the wall with the Ki Whip  for a moment and causing the catwalk to sway wildly.

OOC:    Also, reading progress: Page 50.  I'm SO CLOSE!!!

Shiro sighed, and shook his hand while he slapped his hand to his face.
"You have to concentrate on using it; or not using it; otherwise that'll happen."

"Marik, chosen one, element's fire." he said, holding up his fingers, which were dancing with green flame. "And Aki..... I thought you knew how to use that thing? C'mon dude its not that hard."

[Flipz]

Aki slowly got the hang of his Ki Whip, grabbing the bodies of the dead Chaos Hunters and throwing them into walls, the floor, and the ceiling.  "You know, this is actually kind of relaxing," he said.  He decided to throw one last body, just for good measure...

KRSHHHHH!!!!!

...and mis-aimed, sending it through the window of the booth.  The body hit the sound board, activating the speakers throughout the theatre at maximum volume...
