The moment the zeppelin exploded into flames, the entire army took that as a warcry, and rushed into Terakou. The Chaos Hunters began to rush the base, even as Kali ran into Kazuki's office, panting.
"Kazuki... Hunters... here... attacking..." Kali said in between heavy panting, and Kazuki nodded, understanding fully, as he grabbed Kali's arm, and began to run back through the former school, heading toward the basement.

-==IC: Kai==-

"It's over for you." Kai said, as he ran at Harkan, and stabbed him quickly, at the same time as Marik. Harkan was surprised, however, as both swords impaled him at the same time, and as they were removed, he stumbled away.
"Hah... Hah... This was... Simply... A distraction..." Harkan managed to say, as he stumbled off the platform, which began to shake, and Kai scowled.
"No-one's holding it up now... We can't worry about the Chaos Code; we need to get out of here now!" Kai yelled out, as he grabbed all of the people on the platform, and teleported to the ground.

OOC: Anti-climatic boss fight? Maybe... >;-)

-==IC: Neo==-

Neo smirked, as he stepped into the Chosen One's base itself.
"Finally. It's time to rid this scum from the face of the earth." Neo said, to an unseen lieutenant nearby, who simply nodded, as Neo walked forward, taking his time.

OOC: I admit, this is going much faster than I expected, but I don't mind all that much. This part is one of my favourite parts of the chapter, if only because of the invasion(And... I still haven't written half of it. ^_^;)

Aki stormed through the invading Chaos Hunter ranks, thankful that his ARMOR had a form that was close enough to CH standards to not draw too much attention.  Nearly running into Kazuki, he mumbles loudly, "Is she safe?  Nevermind, get her out of here, I'll be right back.  They're right behind me, by the way."  He then heads off at top speed toward the mainframe, dropping small gravity traps along the walls as he went.

-==IC: Kazuki==-

Kazuki frowned at Aki's words, as he tried to head toward the entrance, but it was blocked off. Kazuki scowled, and ran toward the basement once more, getting ahead of the Hunters, as he locked a steel door behind him. As the two walked, the creepy guy from earlier walked up to them.
"Come on, this way, there's an alternate way out, I made it!" The person said, and both Kazuki and Kali frowned, but ran forward, activating steel wall defenses as they went. However, once they arrived, it became obvious that it was a dead end.
"What? This isn't an exit!" Kali said, as the creepy guy smirked.
"No... But it'll be an entrance for the Chaos Hunters." The guy said, as he pressed a button, that caused an explosive on a wall nearby to explode, forcing open a hole in the wall, as Kazuki and Kali staggered back from the force. The guy smiled maliciously, as he laughed.
"Don't you get it? The set-up in the Mall... The distraction... This trap here... All me!" The creepy guy said, and Kali narrowed her eyes.
"I barely even saw you before today." She pointed out, and the odd guy smirked again.
"That was the entire point. You would never suspect the guy you barely even paid attention to." He said, and the other two heard the clatter of footsteps down the now-open path

-==IC: Kai==-

Kai muttered, as he turned around, and noticed the Chaos Hunter army storming Terakou.
"That guy was right. It was a distraction... All of it." Kai said, as he gripped the now-broken device that had slipped off before Harkan fell off the platform.
"We have to get back, now!" Kai said, as he began to run toward Terakou once more, activating his Armour to grant him more speed.

-==IC: Aki==-
Aki deactivated his Armor as he reached the mainframe and furiously started entering commands.  "Come on, come on..."

"What'cha doin'?"  Chris asked as he casually strolled into the room.

Aki's eyes narrowed.  "I don't have time to deal with you," he said, before launching Chris through the ceiling.

As Aki worked, InAki stirred restlessly.  What are you doing?  Why can't I tell what you're thinking?

"It's called Blank.  And it's better you don't know."  Reaching deep within himself, he begins to pour Ki into the computer systems.  A mangled, jumbled form appears in the projection.  Aki feels the power surging from the machine, somehow generating Ki of its own.  "It worked!"  Concentrating hard, mentally assuring InAki that this HAD to happen, he mutters "And now for the hard part..."

In a split second, Aki redirects the flow of Ki from being one of expanding power to one of retraction, and shifts targets from the console to the strange pseudo-being of Ki he had created.  Waves of new strength and power flooded his body, and with it unbearable pain.  Aki knew he had to somehow activate the technique, before the strength of the Ki devoured him.  Mustering all of his willpower, he corraled and directed the stream, and with a final three words managed to finish the technique and achieve his goal.

"Ki...Data...Drain..." he whispered.

==Fifteen Minutes Later==
InAki awoke by the nearly-demolished mainframe, with no memory of what had just transpired.  "What were you up to, Aki?  Downloading the entire mainframe?"  To his surprise, despite the general devastation, the console was still functional.

[MINOR DAMAGE DETECTED.  EJECT FILES TO REMOVABLE BACKUP? Y/N]

InAki touched the option for "Yes", and a unit on the far side of the room calmly ejected a small hard drive.  InAki picked it up, just in time for the entire mainframe to explode violently in a shower of sparks and flame.  InAki crouched and faced away from the explosion, and was pleasantly surprised that he wasn't burned.  "Huh.  Must not have been as bad as I thought."  As he rushed upstairs to find Kazuki and anyone else in the facility, he failed to notice the cloud of steam, the puddle of molten iron, and the shards of coarsely crystallized glass left behind him...

OOC: That... Was... Awesome. =D Luckily, now we don't need Kaze to handle any of the Chaos Guardians anymore. =D Good, because he's dead and all. =P

After a little while of walking, they reached the Chosen One Base.
"Luckily, that airship had traveled far enough that we didn't have to walk far." Kai muttered, as he slammed a few of the Chaos Hunters away.
No-one's standing a chance. Everyone was counting on the zeppelin to have all the army, and to be made of led... No-one expected this... Kai thought, and ran forward, as he saw Aki nearby.
"Aki!" Kai called out, and frowned, as he looked around, chaos everywhere.
"Where's Kazuki and Kali?" Kai asked, having a bad feeling suddenly.

-==IC: Neo==-

Neo smiled to himself, as he walked through the base, stepping through broken walls, caused by the explosions set off by the explosives that the mole had set up.
Good. He had enough time to set them up, and lured those two right where I wanted them. Neo thought with a smirk, as he prepared for the end of the war... For the start of his rightful rule... And for things to be made right again.

InAki burst from the stairwell back into a main hallway.  Just as he reached the stairs to the basement, he heard Kai's voice.  He seemed to be calling him--or Aki.  How long was I out? he wondered.  He could sense Kazuki below, and he was torn.  Suddenly, his decision was made for him, as a bomb went off, sealing the hallway between them just as Kai and company walked into sight.  "Basement!  Kazuki's down there.  I don't know what's been going on, but I seem to recall Aki thinking something about having to get Skye out.  I don't usually agree with him, but he's right: we need to get everyone out of here.  I'm going to find Kazuki, find out what his plan is, you guys get as many of the others out as you can until I can relay Kazuki's orders."

"Alright; meet outside... But, if you don't get out within five minutes or so, then I'm going to find you all, and drag you out myself." Kai warned, as he went off to try and find the others who had been left inside the building.

OOC: Last Kai post for a few ICs.

-==IC: Neo==-

Neo smirked, as he simply followed the trail that led straight to where Kazuki was trapped.
"You can stay back now." Neo told his lieutenant, who nodded, and went to back up the others. Even as her footsteps faded into the distance, Neo advanced toward the final hole in the wall, that led to the room where Kazuki and Kali were in.
"Why hello there... It's been a while." Neo said to Kazuki with a twisted smile, as he quickly drew his sword.
"Master Neo! I did just as you-" The traitor began to say, but was cut off, as he was quickly slashed in half.
"This doesn't involve you." Neo snapped, as he advanced toward Kazuki.

IC: as *insert PC here* stepped out, to see the approaching army, they saw a green glow in the distance, dripping with blackfire, mauling its way through the CH ranks.

InAki skids down the stairs just in time to see Neo cut the traitor in half.  He stands in shock for a moment, then grabs Kazuki with his Ki Whip and drags him out of harm's way.

OOC: Wait, was Kali the traitor?

OOC: Flipz: No, the traitor was the creepy guy I kept talking about through the ICs, Kali's over with Kazuki. My fault, I didn't give him a name, but he doesn't show up in the story version, since Kaze doesn't die in the story version. Neo's admittedly more epic there, since he slices right through the walls in that. xD

-==IC: Sakeo==-

Sakeo raised an eyebrow, impressed, as he saw Marik's blackfire ripping through the still-approaching Chaos Hunters.
But there's too many... Sakeo thought, and frowned, as he teleported closer, hoping for an opening to get him out before everyone got overrun.

-==IC: Neo==-

Neo looked over at Aki, and scowled.
"You dare interrupt me?" Neo asked, and Kazuki's eyes widened.
"No! Just get out of here! He can't-" Kazuki began to say, but as Kazuki was being pulled past Neo, Neo shot his elbow out at Kazuki's nose, a crack resounding through the chamber, as Kazuki was sent flying back, and crashed into a wall, his nose broken in the process.
"How about you just let me show him." Neo stated with a cold tone, as he looked over at Kali, and smirked.
"Can Mr. Hero stop this?!" Neo said, as he quickly dashed toward Kali, and aimed to stab her quickly, in the heart.

OOC: Just to mention, I gave the gap for a reason, that hasn't happened yet. Let's see what happens, shall we? =)

Marik closed his eyes as he continued fighting, building up his energies. He took a deep breath and then let everything out. fire and heat, melting the ozone and turning the air to plasma in a massive explosion.

From his position, Sakeo witnessed a massive mushroom cloud.


OOC: basically, he did a Toa's nova blast.

Sakeo froze, as he stopped himself in the air, luckily before he teleported further into the mushroom cloud.
"What... What did he do?!" Sakeo yelled out, horrified at what happened, with Marik in the center of the blast.

A figure stumbled out of the smoke surrounding the massive crater at the center of the bast.
A very ragged, worn-out Marik collapsed at the very edge of Sakeo's line of sight.

Sakeo sighed as he spotted Marik, and then teleported down to him.
"You really need to learn not to overdo things." Sakeo commented, as he grabbed Marik's arm, and teleported away to where the rendezvous point was going to be, once Kai finished the preparations.

OOC: Wow, Sakeo helping Marik? Too bad the sequel occurs in 2013, could work in something about 2012 otherwise. xD

IC: about 95% of the Chaos Hunter forces have been obliterated, vaporized, or burnt beyond recognition.

OOC: On the ground. A majority of them have already made it into the school, just to prevent things from messing up next chapter. ... Though, next chapter will make that relatively a moot point, you'll see why. =P

Unfortunately, we'll seemingly have to wait for a bit, so we'll probably have to start post-spreeing Symbiosis for the moment. xD

As Sakeo appeared, some of the medics which had already been rescued from the former school ran up to Marik, and began to treat his wounds in the makeshift hospital room that had been set up where they were. Dawn ran up to Sakeo with a frown, as Kai finished up what he was doing, and appeared as well.
"Have you seen Kazuki, Kali, or Aki?" Dawn asked, and Sakeo frowned.
"No... You sure they aren't trying to fight off the Hunters?" Sakeo asked, and Dawn shook her head.
"I can't sense them anywhere in the school." Dawn said, and Kai frowned grimly.
"The basement..." Kai said, as he ran back toward the school, hoping he'd be in time.

Marik is very badly singed, dehydrated, and beat up, with some bad burns on his palms.

Dawn looked over at Marik, and shook her head, as she noted his wounds.
"What happened to him?" Dawn asked Sakeo, who sighed.
"He attempted the human fireball, effectively blowing up everything but himself, and I'm still not sure how he managed that one." Sakeo muttered in reply, and Dawn nodded, and sighed, as she attempted to help out with as much healing power as she knew how to use; they had all been taught about how to tap into healing powers, but not everyone could use it as effectively as, say, Sonia could.
