OOC: No need, then. =P Let's get the chapter moving.

-==IC: Kali==-

"No." Kali said, however, clicking of guns surrounding the group stopped them in their tracks.
"I suggest you listen to the lady. You're all going to die, after all, no need to rush. But first; our commander wishes to see the people causing all this ruckus... And the red haired guy." The Chaos Hunter who was standing the closest said, as Kali frowned, and looked back to them.
"Red haired guy... Sakeo?" Kali wondered out loud, and the Hunter nodded.
"Yes. Our commander wishes to see him personally." The Hunter stated, and Kali sighed, however, she tapped the device on her arm, which was similar in design to Kai's new device, and sent a message to Sakeo, requesting he get there ASAP.

As Sakeo and Skye were heading back, he stopped suddenly and looked at a device on his arm.
"What...? A message?" Sakeo wondered, confused, as he opened the message he received from Kali. It mentioned that they were in trouble and needed backup. Sakeo sighed.
"Come on, let's go." Sakeo said with a nod, as he teleported himself and Skye to where the group was...

-==IC: Kali==-

Kali frowned, as Sakeo and Skye appeared, fallen right into the trap, as guns aimed at them quickly.
"... You... You never mentioned that there were like 30 people surrounding you..." Sakeo said, blinking quickly, as Kali sighed.
"Their commander wants to see you. I'm not sure why, but..." Kali said, seeming to pause for a moment.
It'll give us a chance to react and figure out what's going on here. Let's play along, for now. Kali thought, and Sakeo nodded, though he thought.
"Huh. I wonder who I could've angered to cause this." Sakeo said with a shrug, as the Hunter guards pushed the group forward, leading the way toward the training grounds. Even still, none of the group noticed either of the eavesdroppers on opposite sides of the street.
They just can't keep out of trouble... Both thought, as one of them, Shiro, frowned, and sighed, and began to subtly follow the group.

-==IC: Kai==-

Once more, Kai and Brooke clashed; however, once more, Brooke's sword flew out of her hands, and she staggered back, gripping her wince.
"I just can't seem to win against you..." Brooke said, confused by that.
"You seem to only have the strength for blocking successfully, however, your speed enhances that, and allows you to successfully counter my moves. I've never actually seen a Hunter who can fight like that... Have you sparred with Hunters in the past, as a normal kid?" Brooke asked, curiously, but as Kai was about to respond, one of the guards growled.
"Enough chit-chat. The commander just called, and said that there'll be a special event that'll test your skills, out in the courtyard. We're to leave for there now." The guard stated, and Kai frowned, but nodded.

-==IC: Kazuki==-

"Sir, we will reach the city of Terakou in a few moments." One of the technicians said, and Kazuki nodded in response.
"Very well. Ready the squad, but remember to keep away. Make sure only the long-range fighters are active. Have the Chaos Hunter Infiltration Squad stay out of the School, too, it will not be safe there at all." Kazuki explained, and the technician spun around, issuing orders, even as Kazuki watched the approach, a grim look on his face.
You may have surprised me with your strength the last time, Neo, but this time will be slightly different... It isn't my troops inside, this time. Kazuki thought, and paused.
"Send a message to Chris, tell him to line the ceiling above the caves with obsidian, he'll know what I mean." Kazuki explained, suddenly recalling the Minecraft-obsessed builder.

OOC: Here we go; start of the end of Chapter 7. =D This chapter's ending, and the entire next chapter, will be very interesting. These chapters may be a little short, but they're longer in the story, since half of it is pretty much character development, or looking around, expanding on what the region looks like. =P

Chapter 9, though, might be intriguing. I included a hint to it in this chapter. =P

"Oh come on! I wanted to kill that guy." I said, but I was also using Ki to make nobody else hear it. Don't ask why.

IC (Alt Rakoua):
Great. Now I'm gonna die.

OOC: Sorry for offscreening and godmode, but MTM hasn't been around for days and I'd like to be able to move on.

-==IC: Aki==-
"Such...unpleasantness."  Aki bent down, tucking a note into the Chaos Guardian's pocket.  "Well, I got what I came for.  They can't blame me for this one's incompetence."  Aki felt his Inner Ki Being's mental presence growing and ticking away.  "Yes, yes, I'm done here.  Over to you, 'friend'."

-==IC: InAki==-
InAki had braced for a mental rush to forcibly regain control, and so was surprised when Aki simply let him in, leaving him off-balance.  The sight before him left him even more so.  "Did I...he...do this??  Alone?"  Hands trembling, InAki quickly checked the Guardian of Plasma for a pulse, and, to both his relief and his surprise, he found one.  Realizing that he wasn't safe here, InAki looked around and melted into the shadows.  She brought it on herself...so why do I feel guilty?  Conflicted, InAki began extending his senses to find the others...

Aki would find everyone not too far from where they were... Including, oddly enough, Sakeo and Skye, Shiro, and another oddly masked Ki Signature. However, if he really concentrated, he would notice Kai's signature not too far away either, and since he would have been taken captive already...

InAki freezes.  Sakeo...and...Skye?  And why is Kai not with the others...?  Drawing his own Ki Signature tightly around him, InAki forces his molecules into the stream of Ki, materializing not far from Kai.  As an added precaution against being recognized, InAki activates his ARMOR.

Skye followed alongside the others to the training ground, not really sure what exactly was going on. Sakeo seemed... puzzled by the recent change of events, Kali looked ticked off at something, and....  Skye did a double take. There were two Rakoua's?

OOC: Wasn't Inaki in control when they got ambushed in the tunnels? Or had normal Aki taken over by then?

Kai yawned, and looked over, and then did a double take, and visibly winced, resisting the urge to facepalm.
Okay, that works still. Calvary can still rescue me. ... Oh who am I kidding, we're doomed. Kai thought, trying to act as if he didn't recognize InAki. However, he then frowned, as he looked up, and noticed the other group approaching the courtyard, and mentally sighed.
Yep. Doomed.

OOC: Countdown to awesomeness, and final battle of this chapter: 3 posts. Death is cheap

OOC: No, Aki took control, then Aki took CG away, then he gave back control.

"Halt.  Identify yourself."  InAki leaned down and whispered into Kai's ear.  "It's me.  What's going on?"

"Chaos Hunter Recruit." Kai introduced himself with a nod toward the courtyard, as Brooke looked between him and Aki, confused, though was distracted, when the other group entered the courtyard.
"We can settle identification later; their training mission has started." The guard stated, as Kai frowned, having a very bad feeling about all this. No-one noticed the subtle malfunctioning of equipment; giving odd readouts; nor the weather oddly starting to change to a more ominous mood.

OOC: 2... Watch closely.

InAki nodded, though if his face had been visible it would have registered confusion; for once, Aki was being helpful, feeding him lines.  "Fine, then I'll be accompanying them to ensure that they do not disrupt protocol.  Can't be too careful."

"Alright, fine then. I'll join you as well, however, since I was put in charge of this group by the Commander." The guard stated, as the group walked forward to meet the captive group.
"Well, well, well. It looks like all the rogue Chosen Ones are here. The surviving ones that is. Does anyone happen to have any last words before the Commander arrives, and you all meet your deaths?" The Chaos Hunter guard asked, as Kai frowned, contemplating the situation.

"I do. What would you do if I punched you in the face in the next 3 seconds?"

"I'd be disappointed that you'd die before getting to meet the commander." The guard said with a scowl, as Kai sighed.
"... Remember when you asked me about whether I disagreed with the Chaos Hunters?" Kai said quietly to Brooke, who looked over quizzically.
"I heavily disagree with them." Kai said, as he spun around, and fired off a shot at the two guards nearby, causing enough of a distraction for Sakeo to attempt to disarm the guards surrounding that group; which was made easier when Shiro revealed himself, and activated his magnetism powers on one person.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't stick to the plan when I noticed all the trouble you lot were causing." Shiro said with a smirk, however, as more Hunters showed up, it was looking like they were done for...

Crunch, crunch, crunch...

The sound of someone running on the gravel floor of the courtyard rang out, and Kai frowned, but then his eyes widened, as he took a step back.
"What... No, how..." Kai muttered, and Sakeo frowned, confused at Kai's reaction, however, his eyes also widened, as he realized what Kai's reaction was about...

Shing!

The sword of a sword being drawn quickly and a Hunter's yell of pain reverberated through the courtyard, and Kali looked around confused, and then saw a Hunter fall to the ground, a slash wound on his body. Kali noticed the wound, and then sensed an impossible thing.
"No, it can't be..." Kali said, eyes widening, as she slowly turned her head, Hunters falling as the unknown attacker continued to cut through them, the shiny metal armour the attacker wore reflecting both it's green colour and the courtyard in the process. The next Hunter was launched across the courtyard thanks to a Ki blast, and the attacker stood still, a confident smile on his face, even as his brown hair blew in the wind that he himself generated. The attacker's armour glowed brightly in certain spots, especially on the device on his arm that powered the armour, even as the Hunters noticed the attacker and recognized him, starting to edge back, since it was impossible. Kali herself couldn't process the person's identity, and from the sheer shock, fainted for a moment, causing Sakeo to have to catch her.
"... Am I late?" The person asked, his green eyes shining in the light, looking rather well for a supposedly dead person. Kaze Hikari was back.

OOC: </has been hinting at this for the past few pages, and especially the past three or four posts, in transparent colour tags, and by certain things. Rakoua helped, even if he doesn't know it.>

Don't worry, it's not a retcon because I got tired of not having Kaze around.(Technically it's not even a retcon... Just involves some off-screen things) I've had an idea for what would happen since I issued the death attack. =P And technically he is dead... Or, rather, at least one version of him is. =P

This isn't the end of this chapter's surprises yet, it's mostly just to try and set up next chapter. Can't achieve the proper effect without Kaze, unfortunately. =( Might be only for that, though, given my reasonings.

"Well, you're sorta like, uhh, how do I put this... not really... uhh... alive?" I said, not sure how to explain to a man that he is dead.
IC (Alt Rakoua):
"What my counterpart wants to say is that you were killed [insert long explanation of how he died which I don't know]"
