GRAMMAR CORRECTION TIME
it's = shortened form of it is, examples: it is an octopus and it's an octopus would be correct, its an octopus would be incorrect
its = belonging to a thing previously mentioned or associated with, examples: 'it is head' is wrong as is 'look at it's head', but correct as 'look at its head'.
Not the same word, too bad many browsers don't have a grammar checker. Then again, distinguishing between 'it's and 'its' is a very hard thing to do. These are not the full definitions. I may be good with grammar but I'm nowhere near the grammar experts. (and by experts I mean the guys at colleges and universities.)
