Coming across on a (not-so) long-forgotten site is weird. It's been a long time. [/glados] In that respect, coming across a member who hasn't posted in months must also be weird.
Now I want to punch my idiotic 14 year old self in the face because he was an angsty idiot that just had to direct his frustration towards a site instead of the people who caused it. It's all fine now, the school's closed down now and I'm in a different school and I've come to terms with that. Difficult period of life when you're someone that doesn't do much and constantly undermines themselves. That is to say, I think I deserve hate and it enrages me to know that people
don't hate me. Or at least it used to. Self-esteem was too low.
Let's not be passive aggressive here. I'm pretty sure I contradicted myself at least one time in that paragraph. And I learnt not to hold grudges.
Now, I know a Steam group of about 130 members that used to play LU (
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/LUforever). It has people such as Xenfare/XOfSpades, PurebladeProductions/Vangronder, Hunthe, etc. I think I could link some of them to this site. It is in clear need of activity.
And I just had this conversation while typing this post.

Fast-forward to September 2009. Mod applications open. I apply. I succeed the tests and become a mod.
04:21 - Hunthe Vs. The Universe: I see.
04:22 - Skrief: I was doing pretty well for a while. Fast forward to around April-June, around that time.
04:22 - Skrief: I decided, rather stupidly, without realising how much I had, that I didn't have enough time for it.
04:22 - Skrief: I leave for about three months.
04:22 - Skrief: I return in september.
04:22 - Skrief: Ask for the mod position back. I get it.
04:23 - Skrief: Next few months were full of typical stuff plus drama. Site is slowly dying in my eyes at the time.
04:23 - Skrief: Come around february-april, I literally yell at another staff member. As a result, I get demoted.
04:24 - Skrief: The next few months consist of me being snarky and cynical to others, until September 2011.
04:24 - Skrief: Everything culminates and I almost get banned. Left the site for months.

And hopefully you all know the story. Normally I would I have said "It's a very long story and I don't really want to tell it", but I had been inspired by the storytelling of the amazingly brilliant game Bastion.
(also, LU wasn't making enough profit. I wish people weren't critical of LEGO for doing business things because that's what it is, a business.)
