@mtm: Nah, not the same...I've been following every little tidbit of information that's come out since we got that concept poster at E3 2009. My tastes in games have changed a lot over those two years.

I don't think I'll ever be able to replicate that feeling...

WiiU...we'll hear game announcements here or there, Nintenso will hold some conference at some point in the winter, E3 2012 unveils game, details, launch, system launchs in Fall-Winter 2012, move on with life.

I hope my WiiU launch experience isn't as underwhelming as my 3DS launch experience. That's a great system to be your first launch system.
