I want to maintain hope, but... I also want to warn you guys that people who know someone have a 50-50 chance of either really knowing someone; or lying through their teeth.

Something that makes me skeptical, is that he says Frostburgh will be back as well; when it was only there because of winter(Though, if they do bring it back, and Frostburgh's there, it'd probably only be because they never released it again back in December.).

However; thinking now; even the closing story seemed a little... off. Both might be true, but we won't know for a long while.

However, if this was a stunt; what were they thinking? I mean honestly; you don't do cancellation stunts to get people to join or like you. Did they not see how well that worked out for Capcom last summer?(Regardless of the fact that it wasn't a stunt or joke)

Also, now that I mention that; this reminds me a lot of something that happened back in the aftermath of the Legends 3 incident. Someone who claimed 'inside knowledge' said that the whole Legends 3 cancellation was just simply a hoax to get new members, and that it would resume development in November 2011. ... Still waiting...

Yeah, I have my suspicions as well, but most of them I internally debunked as this just being a kid who accidentally his words sometimes.
It could make sense frostburgh returning in may/june to make up for missed 2011, and they could probably pull a christmas in july thing with it when you think about it.

If he was lying through his teeth, he made some pretty believable lies based on some facts we already know (about new worlds in particular), and he stayed in character the whole entire time, which is actually impressive if that is what has happened.

I had vague suspicions from the start that this was a stunt, and if it turns out it is than I have no doubt many people will lose a lot of trust and respect from LEGO. As far as campaigns go, a scare campaign has got to be one of the lowest. Especially when it is held out to this extent.

If he's good enough, he can do stuff like staying in character and making believable lies. I've done it myself at times on other stuff; I've... twisted the truth on things(Especially when alts are involved); and stayed in character more or less the entire time(At one point, no-one realized I was actually another character until I said 'oh, hey, I'm this other character', and my rival raged. xD). All you really need to do, is believe what you're saying enough to make others believe it, dig up stuff that you know was planned, make a random date for when it'll come back, and make up stuff that's possible(More Ninjago worlds? It's possible, since we have like two, with one being loosely based originally; though people didn't really want more initially), and then start talking.

But yeah, I wouldn't rule anything out. It's just not as likely.

EDIT - GlitchFlashyBrick. His dad is apparently a programmer on the game, and he has taken part in many tests for worlds like the ninjago ones. He had a lot of inside knowledge, I don't doubt what he said. One of the things he said was along the lines of;
"Yes, this whole thing is a stunt.
I'm surprised no-one has found out yet"

And when/if the game returns, the jetpacks and golden hammers will be taken off you. And it's possible that Nimbus park will return.

Yeah... but it's different to that. He didn't want to sound impressive when it came to the dad part, and he was actually kinda upset when he messed up and mentioned it.
And for what it's worth, it is a confirmed fact that more new Ninjago worlds were coming, because you can see data for them in the game files;

And with ogihci, you were playing a character that had a menacing tone, not necessarily a kid whose the son of a developer. A little bit easier to pull off, but that certainly doesn't rule out any thought that he is lying.

I guess inside I want to trust this kid because deep down inside I want to believe people (not just wanting LU to reopen) rather than assume the worst. But this is the real world and - even worse - the internet, so I can't rule out the fact that this could be a 40 year old man trying to troll people into false hope.

Honestly, there is nothing that I can do to prove anything, and there is nothing he can do either - I just asked him then, he said "They can believe what they want" or the like.
There's no point in trying to convince people that something someone said is true, but if things about LU do get announced soon, don't get too surprised I guess.

Heh, yeah, almost forgot about that. xD Even after my cover was blown, I stayed in character. =P Wasn't all too hard, since I needed to IC that kinda character for MLN: NG afterward anyway, but... yeah. =P

That's true. But it was mostly puzzles, and was not menacing at all once I got revealed. =P However, that's only one of the examples I've done, and one of the only ones on here. As I was saying earlier, on an old old game, I once successfully convinced almost everyone that 'Test123' or something like that, was in fact, a totally separate person... For good reason, too, because my other character grew to have someone to really hated him. =P ... Not that that ever changed, it was the same right up until I quit. xD And when I returned, the server was gone, so...

And you're right about that; you always want to assume the best. Which is why the best thing to do is to wait, and hope. I'm just offering a line to stay partially grounded in reality. =)

Canama and forward: Yeah, dunno. xD CtaM might be the best idea, because, I don't know if anyone's realized it, but, err, everything we focus on tends to die on us somehow. =P Except CtaM and RPGs. Those tend to be the only things that stay up constantly.(Mario topic's starting to rival that, too. =P)

However, joking aside, I honestly think ZLS is correct there; and the obvious progression, and one we either tried before, or were in the progress of trying, when our own Dataclysm happened, and, well, LU was one of the first things proposed to actually get activity back. =P
