@MsRR: I actually never found the tip. When it first got cut it didn't hurt at all really, so I actually didn't think anything of it (I was just gonna run some water over it and clean it and then cover it or something...) But my bro alerted my dad that I'd been cut, and my dad came and looked at it as I was cleaning it, and we saw that it was quite deep and kinda gross... my dad did what I was gonna do first, and we then left it alone, and never looked for the piece. Then 4 hours later, when it was still bleeding, we decided to go to the hospital... maybe if I'd have looked for the piece it may have been better, but I cut it outside on my back deck, so it could have gone anywhere...

@B~T: yes. but not the tip, and it was not too much. The plastics docter said he's seen a lot worse, and that mine should be fine. It justs needs to be cleaned and covered with some gooey thing daily and covered with a band-aid for ~3 weeks, so that it can self heal.

Luckily I don't go up to my cottage for my main vacation for 4 and a half weeks, so I should be able to swim by then... but the cut is still gross...
