...unless you know the pain medication can kill you.  (I don't know the specifics, but I seem to recall Jade mentioning another time that she had a really, REALLY bad reaction to certain pain meds.)  I'd advise you to go back to the doctor and explain the reaction with the pain meds, see what they can do about it.
