"Blade." A voice said, cutting through the darkness of sleep, as a Dark Green and Red(Though not willingly red) Toa awoke. That Toa is named Blade, the Toa of Lightning, one of the only males of that type of Toa.
"Who... Who's there?" He responded grogily, rubbing his eyes.
"Me. Taka." The voice replied, opening the door, grabbing Blade by the arm and pullling him out of bed and out the door, before Blade pulled his arm away.
"What's the big deal Taka?" Blade asked, with an annoyed look on his face, and starting to turn to walk back, as Takanuva shook his head.
"We've got a mission, we have to go to a mysterious place called the Light's Resting Place, and retrieve an item from it, or something like that." He stated, as Blade turned around.
"Mission? Mysterious place? Retrieve an item from a potentially dangerous place? Count me in." Blade responded, walking to go get the others.
"Meet you in the Koro's square." Blade called to Takanuva, as he ran to get Tikado, a male Toa of Light; Sarkora, a male Toa of Ice; Sonia, a female Toa of Sonics; and Sora, a male Toa of Air.
He soon found the four Toa talking together, and explained the mission to them.
"Apparently we need to get an item from a potentially dangerous place called the Light's Resting Place, any of you in?" He asked, awaiting their response.
"I'm in." Sarkora said, as Sonia and Sora seconded that.
"Eh, why not?" Tikado said, as Blade grinned.
"Ok, I guess now we go find Taka." He said, as they ran off to the Koro's Square, to wait for Takanuva, though they didn't have to wait long. The Toa of Twilight(Which is where he got his name from, from the old hero, Takanuva) smiled as he saw them, and filled them in on the new info.
"We don't know where the Light's Resting Place is." He stated, as Blade stared at him.
"WHAT!? What do you mean you don't know where it is!?" He shouted at him, as Takanuva did a facepalm.
"You didn't let me finish. We don't know where it is... But there's a Matoran of Water who claims he saw it recently." He finished, as Blade was confused.
"He? I thought all Ga-Matoran were Female..." He said, as Takanuva stared at him this time.
"And I thought all Toa of lightning were female." he said nudging Blade playfully, before continuing.
"The Ga-Matoran, and a Matoran of Air apparently know about the location of it." Blade looked up at that, but was cut off from talking by a stare from Takanuva.
"Don't even question why I left that out. It's because you cut me off."
"So, where are these matoran?" Blade asked, as Takanuva finished talking.
"One's in Ga-Ukiri, our old home, and one's in Le-Metru, on Metru Nui. You guys find the Ga-Matoran called Kai, and my part of the team will find the Le-Matoran called Pit. We meet back on Terros-Nui when we're finished, because I have a hunch it's there." Takanuva stated, as he pointed to a teleporter near them.
"Take that and you'll instantly be teleported to Ukiri-Nui. Get back here, Hikano-Nui, and use the portal again, it'll take you to Le-Metru, where you can take a portal to Ga-Terros. Let's go." He finished, as Blade, Tikado, and Sonia went through the portal, stepping out onto the sandy beaches of Ukiri-Nui.
"Man... It's been a long time since we've been here, huh?" Blade asked the other two Toa, who just looked at him, and he sweat-dropped.
"Ok, I guess we're going to find Ga-Ukiri now..." He said, as everyone activated their Kakamas and ran off towards the general direction of Ga-Ukiri.
"What... The... Karzahni... What happened here?" Blade said, staring at the broken paths in front of him. They were decimated, and almost broken off entirely, and you had to have a good running start to cross them at all.
"What could have done this? The Makuta of Ukiri Nui couldn't have, I don't think... and the Makuta of Metru Nui is gone I thought... What happened?" Blade thought out loud, as he looked at Sonia and Tikado.
"Ok, let's do this." He said, as they backed up and activated their Kakamas again, running and jumping at the edge of the chasm, barely landing on the other side.
"Hopefully it won't be like this any more on the way there..." Blade muttered under his breath as they took off again towards the general direction of Ga-Ukiri.
It was. Most of the paths were destroyed, and they could barely get past the new barrier of stone set up blocking Po-Ukiri from everything else, and Po-Ukiri was in their path, but they got by it. They continued on, and soon realized all the villages now had an elemental barrier around them, and they got trapped in Ko-Ukiri.
"No... What has happened to the island...? And how are we going to get out of this...?" Blade wondered out loud, as the way out suddenly melted spontaneously.
"Thought you'd need a hand after I heard you were going to Ukiri-Nui..." A voice said from behind the ice, as a Red Toa stepped into view.
"Heh, long time no see, eh Toa Blade?" The Toa said, as Blade recognized him.
"Gyranno! How did you get here?" He asked, surprised that the Toa of Fire was here.
"I went through that portal after you, leaving confused looks on the others."
"Ah."
"Anyway, let's keep going..." Gyranno said, changing the subject as we started walking down the broken road, that lead me str- Wait, wrong thing... Back to our story...
"Hmm, so this is what happened to Ga-Ukiri..." Blade said, looking at a mini-island in the distance.
"Now how are we supposed to get THERE?" Sonia asked, as Blade pulled out a Kualsi.
"Like this." He said, teleporting to the island, then realizing that he can't take anyone, and teleported back.
"Or not... Do you guys have Kaukaus?" He asked, before switching to his own Kaukau, and jumping in the water.
"COLD! COLD! COLD!" He yelled out, having forgotten that the waters of Ukiri-Nui were much colder than the waters of any other island's.
"T-t-the w-w-water's f-f-fine g-g-guys...." He chattered, trying to convince the others to jump in too.
"Eh, if it's ok with you Blade, I'll sit this one out..." Tikado responded, as Sonia put on her Kaukau mask and jumped in, swimming along as soon as she hit the water.
"What are you waiting for Blade?" She asked, as Blade just looked at her and then started swimming along to the broken-off part of Ukiri-Nui.
"Where is everybody?" Blade asked when they got there and started looking around. It looked like no-one had lived there in years, but that couldn't have been, since they had been there only a few years earlier, as a visit...
"Let's go carefully... I have a bad feeling about this..." Blade said to Sonia as they walked cautiously through Ga-Ukiri, before spotting a greenish Blue matoran hidden in a corner. Blade motioned to Sonia where the matoran was, and they walked up to it.
"Who are you?" Blade suddenly said, probably scaring the matoran out of it's wits, but it recovered soon, and replied with,
"Kai."
"Hey, we've been looking for you! We need you to come with us to help us find the Light's Resting Place." Blade said, as Kai backed away.
"No, I know your kind. You want to use me to find it, then you'll get rid of me and rob the place! I'm not going to take it!" He yelled out, pulling out a katana, which Blade responded to with just standing there.
"I'm not trying to do that, but we're trying to find the Light's Resting Place, and you're the only other one who can help, and I thi-" Blade started, but was cut off by Kai.
"Other? Oh right, I forgot I only know a part of the code to open the entrance, and making it appear..." He said, as Blade continued.
"Anyway, we need your help, and from what you're saying, there's some people who want whatever's in there for themselves... We'll try to defeat them then." Blade said, as Kai thought for a bit.
"Ok... But at first signs of you betraying me, I'm not gonna stick around." He said, as Sonia picked him up and put him on her shoulders, and we ran off towards the water, got in it, swam back, and met up with the others that were on Ukiri-Nui.
"Others? You mean there might be more on here, and might be what caused the damage?" Tikado asked, as Blade relayed the story as they headed back towards the portal to Hikano-Nui.
"Yeah... But what could they be? Makuta? Toa? Skakdi? Or something else we haven't even seen?" I asked, and something else responded as we got into the clearing where the portal was.
"I think we'll take others." A voice said,as things jumped out in front of us, and looked up.
"K-Kaimaru! I thought you were dead!" Blade yelled out, pulling out his chainblade, which Kaimaru laughed at.
"Me? Die? I can't die. You though..." He said, suddenly appearing in front of Blade and slashing at that moment with his Dark Sword, slashing horizontally on Blade's torso.
"AUUGH!" Blade yelled out in pain, flying backwards and slamming into a tree, which fell on the impact.
"You can die, and pretty easy." Kaimaru continued, advancing towards me as his minions drew their weapons and headed towards the rest of Blade's team.
"W-What are you?" Blade asked, as Kaimaru smiled and evil grin.
"I am now something more powerful than Toa, and yet able to use elements still... Plus two Rahkshi powers." He said, increasing the gravity around Blade, though he tried to stand up regardless.
"W-What do you want!?" Blade yelled out, as Kaimaru smirked.
"I want you dead, and the secrets that that matoran has." He responded,lifting the gravity, but rushing at Blade with his sword, almost not giving Blade enough time to respond, Blade barely blocking in time.
"I can't let you do that..." Blade said, retaliating with a slash of his own, though Kaimaru blocked it and sent a slash of his own, which went on for a while, until the rest of Blade's team was down and Blade was getting exhausted.
"Now then, I'll be taking that matoran, and killing you now..." Kaimaru raised his sword once more, and Blade blocked, but his sword was knocked out of his hands and he collapsed. Though, the end did not come for Blade.
"H-Huh?" He looked up, and saw Kaimaru hurt by something, and get knocked to the side. Blade looked over in the opposite direction and saw Tikado, and a downed minion.
"T-Tikado!" Blade yelled out, as Tikado readied a Light blast.
"Save the speech. Grab the others and get to the portal, I'll catch up when you get there." He said, unleashing the light blast, as Blade got up and went over to Sonia, picking her up and putting her on his shoulder, and going near the portal and putting her down, then repeating that for the other two.
"Tikado, let's go!" Blade yelled out as Tikado nodded and ran over to them, as Blade picked up Sonia, and Tikado picked up Gyranno and Kai, and we went through the portal, setting a Light bomb in the sand to explode in 10 seconds, and hit the ground of Hikano-Nui, activating the portal again and teleporting to Le-Metru, and they took the portal there to Ga-Terros, where the other part of the team waited for them.
"What took you so long?" Takanuva said with a grin as Blade got an annoyed look on his face.
"I think our team took the wrong island. And I don't think we should go back to Ukiri-Nui anymore..." Blade said, explaining about the mission to Ukiri-Nui, and Kaimaru.
"Hmm... I wonder what this upgraded species is? Ah well, we'll deal with them later I guess..." Takanuva said, before continuing.
"We found out from Pit that the Light's Resting Place is indeed here... In Likadia-Nui, But the only thing he knows is that it might be in Po-Likadia..." He said, as Blade got annoyed.
"Well if we know where it is, let's go." He said, walking towards Po-Likadia, with Sonia on his shoulder still.
As they walked towards the boundaries connecting De-Likadia and Po-Likadia, a mixture of stone and water in the form of a barrier appeared in front of the group.
"What the... We saw something like this in Ukiri-Nui too..." Blade said as Sarkora froze the barrier, and Tikado body-slammed it, smashing it to pieces.
"That works too I guess." Blade corrected himself, as they walked through the now open passageway, and the two Matoran hopped down and walked up to a part of the area that was very open.
"This is it..." They said together, as they chanted something, and the area started rumbling.
"Not again..." Blade said for some reason, as a temple or something rose out of the sand.
"This is it... No turning back now I guess." Blade stated, as the group walked through, the unconscious members waking up and getting off the shoulders of the Toa who were carrying them.
As they walked through the entrance, the door shut behind them, locking them in.
"Great, I was right. Again. Why do I always have to be right!?" Blade yelled out, shaking his head as the two matoran chanted something again and opened the passage in front of them. The group walked through, and it split into three ways.
"Ok, Tikado, you take Sonia and Kai and go to the left. Gyranno, Take Sora and go right. Sarkora, and Pit, you're with us." Blade said, pointing out that him and Takanuva were the eladers of the Sarkora and pit group. We went through the door in front of us, and it locked behind us.
"Not again..." Blade said, as they walked along, getting attacked by traps and enemies, which they dodged and defeated respectively. After getting past them, they came into a room with entrances on the left and right.
"That must be for the others to get to here..." Blade said, turning his attention to the last door.
"That must be the main room... Where the item is... Let's go!"
"What the..." Blade said, running into the main room of the building called Light's Resting Place.
"What is this place?" Sarkora asked, as Kai just looked around.
"This is... Weird..." He said, as Takanuva approached them all.
"We don't have long, so let's quickly look for the item we were supposed to get." He stated, as we looked around the room, but couldn't find anything.
"Hey Taka, you ok?" Blade said, noticing a weird expression on his face as the place started rumbling.
"What the Karzahni?!" Blade yelled out, as something fell in the middle of the room, and started moving out of the room, taking out anything it could. Then a pyramid-like thing appeared in the corner and Takanuva all of a sudden slashed off Pit's head.
"I seem to be headless..." It said, as Takanuva slashed off Sarkora's arm and knocked him unconscious.
"What's gotten into you Taka?!" Blade yelled at him, as he saw Takanuva's eyes were pitch-black.
"I've seen what I should be doing, and not what I have been doing." He said, running at Blade, as he blocked with his sword and retaliated, all the while the walls and floors of the place getting corrupted by evil.
"This will now be the SHADOW'S Resting Place!" Takanuva shouted out, trying to slash Blade in half and stuff, the walls connected to the pyramid getting smashed to pieces by our energy attacks and Blade crashing into walls.
During the fight, some of the pieces of the regenerating ceiling fell on Pit's arm, trapping him there, as the wall that kept regenerating built on the weapon held in his OTHER arm.
"You can't win! Give up! Give into the darkness!" Takanuva shouted at Blade, slashing at him with his twin-bladed staff.
"That may be, but I'll make sure you don't win either!" Blade shouted back, blocking the slash and retaliating it with his Power sword, as the energy from the attack shattered a few of the walls, though it regenerated, the attacks just about freed the others, though Blade couldn't afford to try to save them.
"Blade!" A voice shouted out as Sonia and her group ran into the chamber, only to be hit by a blast of shadows that sent her into one of the walls and knocked her out.
"S-Sonia!" Blade called to her, before turning back to Takanuva.
"If she's hurt, you'll pay!" He said, running over to Sonia, and checking that she was alright, which she mostly was.
"Grr, you'll pay anyway." Blade shouted at Takanuva, rushing at him with his Chainblade, which hit the twin-bladed staff, and was sent off, and repeated for a few times, until the other group appeared in the chamber, which the door closed behind them. Blade and Takanuva kept trading hits, but never got major damage, even when Blade sent out Ka to try to do more damage than he would alone, he didn't do enough to seriously hurt Takanuva, just because he couldn't.
"What can we do to help Blade!?" Gyranno shouted out, as Tikado counted them.
"Sonia, me, Blade, Gyranno... Gah, we need two more at least!" He yelled out, as the ceiling collapsed again, which two Toa dropped down from.
"You call us?" Asked the Toa of Ice, Katiko, the Toa of Sonics, Hikoua, with him.
"Well you certainly will help out good. Let's do this, get into position around Blade! ... Oh, and try to wake Sonia up, we need her." Tikado said, trying to get in position around Takanuva.
"Blade! Try to get him into the center, and when you do, quickly say now and fire!" Tikado instructed him, as Sonia was woken up and placed into the circle.
Blade slashed Takanuva a few time, making him lose his guard and pushing him into the center of the circle.
"NOW!" Blade yelled out as they all unleashed their Elemental powers at the same time, where it hit turning into a pillar of Protodermis.
"Ugh." Blade panted, collapsing from the fight.
"Whew... Oh, I wonder if this is a good time to tell th- What the!?" Tikado started, as the protodermis Prison cracked and Takanuva broke out, wings sprouting and him being ALL dark.
"You'll pay for doing that to me!" Takanuva shouted out, rushing at the nearest Toa and ripping him with his claws. Tikado unleashed a blast of Light at Takanuva, but he just deflected it, as Sonia tried to wake Blade up to help, while Tikado pulled out his staff and tried fending Takanuva off with it.
"We've gotta do this..." He said, as Sonia succeeded in waking Blade up, and Blade slashed Takanuva's back, before Takanuva grabbed him and flew up to the ceiling.
"Should I drop you here, or break open the ceiling and see if you can fly?" He said with an evil grin, as Tikado aimed at Takanuva's mask and fired a light blast at it, hitting it and knocking it off, having it fly away, as Blade kicked him away into a wall, making him be imprinted into the wall.
"Let's finish this!" Blade said, touching the ground and jumping back up, slashing the wall to get higher, and smashing the sword into the wall where Takanuva is stuck, making energy start charging where he hit, then an energy explosion happened, knocking Blade into the opposite wall, knocking him through it, and totally obliterating Takanuva and seriously damaging the others still in the room.
"Did... We win?" Tikado asked, as Sonia started healing everyone, and fixed Pit's head, and re-attached Sarkora's arm.
"Urgh..." Blade moaned, rubbing his head as he sat up and looked around. It looked like some of the landscape around Po-Likadia had been damaged in the fight somehow, possibly in the energy explosion, and that the top of the Twilight's Resting Place(As Blade had named it during the fight) had been blown off, along with a hole in one of the walls at the bottom. Blade stumbled over to it, just as the group was leaving the same hole.
"You're okay!" Sonia yelled, hugging Blade a little too tight.
"AUGH! Please, not so hard... I'm very sore, and that's kinda not helping..." Blade muttered, as Sonia laughed.
"Hey Blade, this whole thing wasn't a waste of time after all..." Tikado said, showing Blade the artifact, a weird sword that looked like a Katana.
"Hmm... Wonder what it is?" Blade said, but just as he went to touch it, it... disappeared in energy.
"What the? It just... teleported away... but to where...?" Blade wondered.... Though the truth would shock him too much if he found out, so it's better left a mystery...
*2 months later*
"Whew... I think it's finally repaired." Blade said, looking at the repairs of Ukiri-Nui. This is what happened: After they got back to Hikano-Nui, they went back to Ukiri-Nui with all of them and the help of Rakoua, Toa of Sonics, and after a few days of fighting, defeated him for now, then they started repairing the island, with the help of Rakoua still. The only thing they couldn't repair was the newly named Floating City of Ga-Ukiri, but they built bridges to it, and a protodermis Cord formed connecting it underwater to the main island, in an arc, so it didn't make a pathway without going under the water, but it wasn't needing to be underneath the island.
"We're home... Finally. I wonder how long this peace will last though?" Blade asked Sonia, who had just walked up.
"I don't know, but if there's anything trying to interfere with it, we'll certainly TRY to get rid of it..." She responded as one of the suns set on this chapter of their adventures...

Been a while since I last saw this, so I updated it a bit, and maybe I'll make a continuation... But not NOW... And if anybody saw the cameo, please say so
