I think I might've posted this before, but...
Soooo...Pokemon tournament...anyway going? I think I'll try it, there's one fairly close to me.
I've already got a fully EV trained Excadrill; I was thinking I'd run a Landorus/Excadrill team, Landorus sets up Sandstorm, which boosts its power and makes Excadrill pretty much un-outspeedable, then Excadrill uses Swords Dance; boom, nigh-unstoppable sweeper team.
I also want to fit Volcarona in there somewhere, but whatever.
Which reminds me: Does anyone have a Tornadus I could borrow for a day or two? =P
Why would you not just start hippowdon or tyranitar? Sand stream it...
Because you can only use Pokemon from the B/W 'Dex.
What kinda tourney is this?
VGC 2011, if it's the one I think it is. They only allow Unovan Pokemon for some reason, and the battles are Double Battles.

lol, I'm coming into this topic very inexperienced so I probably sound quite ignorant, but I'm working over the summer to make some money so I can buy a 3DS and as I soon as I do, I plan on buying Black and White alongside it. I haven't played Pokemon for years, last one I played was Ruby (or something like that) so I'm curious about what I should know about the gameplay and plot. Can anyone help me out?
Gameplay hasn't changed
all that much... Basic things to keep in mind: More items. More Pokemon. Special and Physical aren't based off elements, but on the actual attacks. There are now Triple and Rotation Battles. Given that this is two generations from RSE, that's pretty tame. Though... I might be missing some things.
As for story; you're in for an awesome one. RSE's is barebones by a long shot compared to this; but I won't say anything more, as it's too awesome to spoil. You're better going into it unawares, though either way it's awesome. =)
