Today I do two things. Revive a topic(sorry) and bring you a review of the largest winter 09 set. Yes that's right.
Tuma
Box DesignThe box art of Tuma is excellent, with this large figure staring out at you with the pose we've all probably seen at BZP. The bottom left has the piece count-188, along with some other stuff. The word BIONICLE is printed along the top, with Tuma next to it.
The back of the box has Tuma standing in a newer pose, and on the right are what he can do(move those Skrall Swors, launch his exploding fruit). The bottom is devoted to Glatorian images. There's also mention of a new BIONICLE game.
The SetSo you get home, tear open your box, and dump out two bags and the instruction booklet. You tear open each bag, only to notice another bag containing pins and axles, along with other small pieces.
Then you begin building. First the body. The body is somewhat unique, but near the end seems somewhat small, and kinda crowded. The building of the legs is kinda interesting, but not the second time around. That's right, identical legs. The upper legs are pretty hollow, covered by a lime Jaller Inika foot, and the lower legs belong to rakshi... The feet are okay, with marhitoran claws on the outside and a toa olda foot on the inside.
The arms are kind Hydraxon-ish, with a foot as shoulder padding. Then another rakshi leg, then a
hand. Yay, a hand, that is unable to move the fingers. The Thornax launcher is pretty cool, and its small. Big plus. The sword that Tuma carries is nice, even though its a recycled Brutaka blade. But its in a sleek black.
The wings on the back add a nice flare to Tuma's body, but the two wings on the left are attached, same goes for the right. So if you move the top right, the bottom one moves as well.
Last is the mask(well, actually in the instrcutions it is second last, and its not a mask). Sorry. Helmet. Sitting upon a shrunken av matoran head. And its all black. You have to attach those green lines via stickers. Three of them. Other than that, the helmet(not mask, I have to get used to that) is great.
New/Recoloured PiecesTuma comes with a few new pieces, as well as a bunch of recoloured ones. If you are an active BZP member, you may be familiar with many of these. For those of you who arent, I will list them.

Game piece is a piece withs numbers 1-5 and a skull, used to play a new game.
[Conclusion[/i]

Okay, the pros outway the cons, and I'd say this is a great set, although there's room for improvment. The rest is up to you, the buyer. I buy a lot of stes, maybe too many, so me buying this doesn't mean much. One more thing, I'm in Canada, and I got Tuma at Wal-Mart, so if you want to start hunting, or already have, they are out there.
