When I began my journey through the internet before seeing MLNO, I was in various MLN-related forum sites among some other non-related forums, but between those time from then to here, those various forum sites have failed… and I can’t grasp to myself which forum that I can be a part of and then that forum not being a failed one, with lots of things to do, chat with, and be an escape from real life. MLNO, was the one that changed that perspective, and made me addicted to it, on how it was different, different from the others. MLNO was a special forum, that I knew that it had something that the other forums I’ve been to, have not had, something that makes it tied, and the community as one. At the very first day I came here to MLNO, I felt shy, scared, because of the new people, the various mysterious people that I couldn’t manage if I made a mistake. Just after I written my first post, or as I call it my “Greetings†post, I was welcomed with open arms, and I knew that this forum would be a joist one for the coming months I’ve been there. I was very into debates and technology at the time, and because I was being stuck in MLN rank 4, needed a break, and have some miscellaneous discussion, to ease my head from troubles from real life. MLNO has distinguished itself as a forum with different paths, there are countless of things that can be done here, and I really love how it gives their members things to do, such as help for MLNO, education help, debating, and etc… Those things, made me know from my own that I think that I would love my time here, for the better. As I later find out in the future, people make mistakes, loads of mistakes, some intentionally, others for jokes and enjoyment, which I later find out the latter was my mistake, mostly because of my “Maplen and Random Guy†show, that I put in the forums as fun, but the random guy personality I made him to be was the one that got me in trouble, -1 of rep. I went into that kind of phase that really crazy phase that I wasn’t a good member or that I was semi-depressed, I would later think that as something that is childish. As I think about the past, I think it as very far off in the past that I actually forgot the second de-rep, hehe, and I am still wondering if I ever had that time if I gained a rep then getting that de-rep. I still digress on the earlier times of myself in MLNO, that I was out of control when debating, on things that I made personal, like “Global Warming†I thought it was too personal that I couldn’t have it debunked right in my face..then another depression with me when I began to think that debate as already a won situation by the Climate Deniers, But as I look back, how I looked at information, and as of today, I have learned new understanding of how Climate works, and that I’m not afraid of being wrong, not afraid in researching to prove my point. That spirit I never had in that first debate, and to which I digress not to have. Because of how much I have experienced on my mistakes, I’m moving on, as a -2 rep member I still move on that I am a member of this great MLNO community and that later that there are people who do understand, communicate, and collaborate with me in my stay in MLNO. When I had thoughts and collaborated with many of the MLNO colleagues( as I love to say it when doing a project) like the ideas of Supersonic, and his “Space Forum Monthâ€, and How I was greatly obligated to make a brochure for him in a PDF file. Other collaborations such as the Education section now in the miscellaneous discussion, made me think also how MLNO is striving for the very future of research and development, which would provide that main reason why MLNO had succeeded than all the other forums I’ve been to, That of which it has succeeded in making updates for the forum, new fads, and new ideas for the members of MLNO to fully enjoy and integrate them in the daily MLNO lives. And that Is why I would love to congratulate everything that the hardworking admins of MLNO achieved. Hard-working? That’s a complete understatement. The Administration of MLNO, and among the moderators who both protect , serve , moderate , control and advise the forumers of MLNO. That to which deserves more than an applause, more than a “Thank you†It deserves at the very least a paragraph detailing how much the admins/moderators have done for the foundation of MLNO. They have identified themselves as more than hard-working, but multi-taker achievers who dedicate their time, effort, and daily lives for the sake of the members in MLNO. You can’t deny that it may take time just to answer you personal message to them, because hey, they get maybe 10 messages a day, and if it isn’t important, they have a right to discard it, for maybe the fact it hasn’t have a title like “No subjectâ€. They take their time to understand what is happening, and they might not be there to know what had happen to a crime scene, they are blind, and need information to which they understand to make a complete assessment on what happened here, who is responsible, it is a tough job, and it is tougher as it gets. You have debates that are begging to have flame wars, undefined shouting, flaming, trolling, yelling, and fights, to which can disrupted the ever silent community of MLNO. Not only that they are very watchful of any security threats of hackers, viruses, and anything changing to the SMF database or features. All of this, and their real life to deal with? So this is where I want to say, they deserve something more than what we take for granted, the feeling of not having the whole world in their shoulders where everyone is dependent on you to survive, a real brunt is it? Maybe the best thing would be for them is a Winter Christmas vacation that could bring some minds out of things and reset the mind. But the consequence of this may add more havoc inside the MLNO forum, which needs the supervision of an admin or moderator to watch over things. So I would love to give a very big thanks with a big thank you to all those admins and moderators, like Dudebot, Tim(I know he’s in court but I think he’s a decent one) Rahkshi8000, Nwj(the founder), Blademan, MsRowdyRedhead, Jedi Jade, Disky, Supersonic and many others, sorry if I didn’t mention, but those are the people that I think done very much, so that I can known them as very active and popular in the forum *Claps* *Claps* But not just the Administrators and Moderators of the MLNO Forum I want to congratulate here, but I want to congratulate the normal users, like you and me. I have looked upon many members as very amazing people who knows their stuff from top to bottom, such people like Legodac, who really has great insight in knowledge and philosophical wisdom to which anyone can learn even the admins/moderators. Mtmmerick, a member who is real quest for amazing space adventures, and fascinated in the complex nature of space, which to that he made his own RPG, Space Wars, I really would suggest that for some people, with the nack that of his intelligence in personal messages, yet has the ability to have those funny moments. Lindavz, a very nice member and part of MLNTeam, I might find tough criticism against her sometimes, but I find that she is like an insider sometimes when it comes to Lego news, like a private investigator having the news like a news reporter, just have to love those nice paragraphs, and stories. I know there are many among many that I have not mentioned, but they are the most important because they make up this basic community into a great community, where we can discuss, share, and ultimately have fun upon. Yet, to gain that ultimate goal, MLNO must in my opinion, must overcome some obstacles and push a new era of MLNO. An era that we will call a grand era of MLNO, a “Golden Age†of MLNO Development to make MLNO better than ii has ever been, I call to everyone in MLNO, very member, to ever staff to look into the future of what it can offer to MLNO, and how it can improve the foundation of it, with massive members, we need to gain in account of more massive members that are inbound in the future. The Lego Corporation has made itself where more people will be inclined for help and improvement. That is where MLNO stands at. Now as a community that does help in My Lego Network , but to ensure everything that Lego Corporation made in any kind of game, from The Lego Universe to Basic Lego making builds we need to help the normal lego loving kid for a great insight of everything Lego. We need to redefine what MLNO stands for, and what it can deliver. We need in the very stages, as because MLNO’s 2nd anniversary in the internet, we need to let MLNO survive, and fearing to a death of MLN not going to have anymore ranks, to which less and less people will get interested, to which a cascading effect to the death of MLNO. We need to help change this into a reality, we have to understand that Lego is changing, Lego Corp. is changing. We, as MLNO members must change MLNO to adapt to the ever changing world. Thus, we have to unite, Admins can’t do it alone, Moderators, can’t do it alone, we members can’t do it alone. But we unite together as one and overcome challenges, create ideas and a better future of what MLNO can offer to the Internet and to the normal lego making kid. The future is still a long ways ahead of us, and that’s a very big fact, but it is undetermined whether or not that future will bring the community of MLNO the happiness, prosperity it desires, or the grand depth of failure and the death of MLNO. It is up to the next generation and a bit of this generation of MLNO’ers to help make the future a better place. For this we need to have grand relationships that cling ourselves together, with each teamwork that we can ever need. The very basis of a community itself is about the vary development of the neighbors that interact with other neighbors. We can’t have or afford the basic fist fights, anger issues, and basic miscommunication. For this, it is best for us as a community to acknowledge people’s mistakes, and yet acknowledge that sometimes they need discipline by authority to ensure anything severe won’t happen in the future. We maybe should invent some teamwork games to help the community of MLNO reach each others when doing a competition against other teams. In this we can know which people has their weakness and strengths, thus as members understanding each other to help heal the weaknesses, and make the strengths even stronger. This is where community building needs to be at, the participation of many members to help each other for a goal, that in a basic situation can improve the very face of MLNO.
Long Live MLNO, And let MLNO have many more Anniversaries to come. Thank You All.
