They will not be allowed into the actual staff board unless they're staff.
What was being heavily debated over was if they'd get their own board; which was pretty much unneeded in that way, since it had already been made when this topic was made.
However, as I have mentioned elsewhere; I do not agree that the reporters should have to move their stories from one board to another just to get it into the news, since in that time, if we had been almost getting a news story out first, we may lose that edge and get it out later than other sites.
UHM.. It takes less than 10 seconds to move a post...
You have to factor in that if they don't go to the 'move topic' screen from the post screen(Many don't, it's an easy option to miss.
), then it takes longer for the other screen to be opened. And if there are slower computers or internet sources(Like network cables, or just plain what type of internet you have; just went over that), it could be slower.
But it is quick for me as well.
Legodac: There will be no access to the staff boards for Reporters unless they're mods themselves. And there is a reporters board; is everyone skipping that section of my post(s)? =P
