This is simple. I post a picture of a vehicle and you find out which one it is. The one who posts the correct answer posts the next picture and so on. If it is too hard, you are allowed to post hints. You have 24 hours to post your pic. Make sure your URL doesn't reveal the name. Let's start off nice and easy.  Look closely and you shouldn't have problems. |

Actually I believe Legodac got it!
It looks like USS Enterprise (CVN-65) which was commissioned November 25 1961

The Nimitz was going to be my second choice, that and Enterprise are the only ones I know  So, do we have to wait for Rak to post another vehicle or can we venture out on our own

De Havilland Comet.
BINGO!! We have a winner! The Comet's story began in 1929, when an officer of the Royal Air Force named Frank Whittle proposed powering an airplane with a gas turbine engine. Rather than applying power to a propeller, this engine would force exhaust gases out the rear of the engine, generating enough force to drive the aircraft forward. Whittle himself described his idea as "something like a giant vacuum cleaner; it sucks air at the front and blows it out at the back." |
