"They were...hypnotized with the rest of us.  We think," Frank said, throwing a quick look to Tomas and Joshua indicating they shouldn't say otherwise.  "The more I try to think about what I've been doing the past few minutes, the less I can remember."

BTW, what's going on around Ned and Nancy?  Last I checked they were...somewhere, I think looking for evidence from the Computer Lab bomb.

Bess and George exchange a look--something strange was going on, and they had to do something about it.
"Let's assume Veronica controls what we can see online," George shispers into Bess' ear.  "Let's also assume she tracks what we see online."
"OK...how does that help Nancy?" Bess whispers back.
"Once Nancy fills us in on her plan, we can run interference--you know, give Rosewater a false trail to follow.  If she's busy disabling hidden cameras that aren't there, then Nancy can sneak around and catch her red-handed, or something like that."
"Good idea!  I've just got one question."
"What's that?"
"Why are we whispering?"
That gives George pause.  "I don't know.  Probably because if we can hear Veronica, she's likely set things up so she can hear us."
Bess stops and thinks for a moment.  "I wonder what would happen if we got access to that surveilance?"
"Bess, that's brilliant!  If we make her think we've hacked the school surveilance system--as well as whatever else she's got set up--not only will she have to shut them down to keep us from seeing, but she'll also be blinding herself!  All from one fake hacking attempt!"
"...Why don't we just actually hack the security system and get whatever info we can before she shuts it down?"
