Title: Championship Event: Cannon Cove Shooting Gallery!
Post by: The Truth on November 04, 2011, 01:59:00 pm

When asked how he had spruced up Pirate Camp for this weekend’s Championship Shooting Gallery event, Captain Jack Knife said “With no changes a’tall, ye blasted reporter! Pirate Cove be fit for regal lords an’ pirate princesses at all times, and don’t ye ferget it!”

“If athletes find themselves yearnin’ for a heapin’ bowl o’ Squid an’ Swordfish Soup or a healthy plate o’ Simon’s Sharkbladder Surprise midst their cannon-launchin’,” Captain Jack continued, “Simon Soupspoon will be takin’ their orders. If they need two trees to hang their hammocks ‘tween, any yawnin’ sea slugs should set ther’ courses fer Chanty Shantey, and make themselves at home. Pirate Camp’s got all the four-starfish luxury you’ll need to keep rested fer yer heated competition, me hearties! Good luck to ye’s!!”

Check in next week for more news and results direct from the Championships, compliments of your friendly neighborhood reporters at the Nexus Tower Tribune!

According to SamuraiMaster, all contests have been cancelled.  It makes sense; I mean, why waste money promoting a game that's ending?

BOOOOO.

Worst move LEGO has made.. just before Christmas.

They could have sold a lot more sets promoting them in game.

I've gotta agree... That was the failest of fail moves they could have made... Would it really have hurt them to push it back about two months? Announce the cancellation in January; close it in March. That way, they have the option of gathering even more profit from the winter and Christmas rushes, when people in the target audience has more time, and also allow these contests to properly end.
