The other day I met a teenage girl and we started talking about the careers we were hoping to follow. She mentioned without enthusiasm  that she was interested in photography, and I told her I had been on an award winning robotics team for the past two years and that I am going into mechanical engineering.
Her response: "Robotics?? What's that? Like you build a robot?"

We are spreading the word of this awesome program. It has been around for over 20 years, with thousands of teams around the world. Thanks to sponsors (such as NASA, Boeing, Google) and mentors who volunteer their time, any school can start a team (different leagues for ages 6-18). However, we cannot spread the word fast enough. There are still billions of people who have not heard of this program, and thousands who are missing out on an opportunity that is perfect for them.
