Title: September 11 - Guest Writer Dudebot5000
Post by: Dudebot5000 on September 11, 2008, 02:59:53 pm
Surprised nobody made a topic like this. 0_o Anyway...

9/11/01. The day that shook the world.

On this day, seven years ago, terrorists hijacked planes and sent them into the Pentagon, a field in Pennsylvania, and the two World Trade Centers. Many were lost, but it brought forth what matters.

Heroes.

I implore upon all who read this topic to only post with the utmost respect for all those lost and their families, along with the heroes of that day. I also ask for all to share in a moment of silence for the same reason.

*Boy Scout Salute*

*Moment of silence*

Who cares anymore! It happened 7 years ago now. It is in the past, part of life. Get over it.

I however must state that the hijackings could have been prevented if there was higher security on the airports at the time and the comunication was easier.
Also, Hypr...
Do you remember your birthday?
Did you get over it eight or so years ago?
I've seen other events, some at a larger. some smaller, be remembered for 13 years...
Many people lost their lives that day, and they should be respected.

I respected them in 2002, bu that was the 1 year anniversary. On this day, I take  moment of silence for my grandmother who died on the day back in 2001. @ UZ-I do get over my birthday. It is just another year gone.

*Is shocked by lack of respect*

Did you even watch the video? True message by a little girl who lost her father. Apperently some girls in my class cried from how sad it was. They're in 9th grade.

Quote from: Black Six, BZP Admin
Let us not forget what happened 7 years ago today. We were here at Kanohi-Power and BionicleZone back then, and we all lived though 9/11/01 as a community. Seven years later, we are still here, members are still here -- and the site, the members, and the world are just a little less innocent because of that day exactly seven years ago.

How can I forget about 9/11 when every year it is the same ordeal?!

Actually, that wasn't B6... That was Dimensioneer if I've got my names right.

Oh, and Hypr, even if it's the same ordeal, it's still something you should remember. Many brave people lost their lives that day, and even if I live in Canada, I still respect them.

/EDIT: 0o Since when was B6 named "Rich"? No, that wasn't B6 who wrote the article... Maybe B6 just put up the topic, or maybe he just accidentally put the wrong name :P

//EDIT: It was either Bionicle Rex, or B6 put the wrong name ;)

Then don't show disrespect, instead show respect for those who lost their lives. Quote from a topic on BZP:

Quote from: TOA MAKUTA NUVA
I don't really care.
If you can't show respect for 3000 dead then go screw yourself.
-1 proto for you as well.

I will not tolerate any disrespect, regardless of the situation.

-Omi
Proto=Rep

That's the way it is over there. And I agree with it.

@Blademan: IDK, but there had to be something wrong with it today... ::)

i say it because I am over it. I do feel bad about all the innocent people who died, but that was 7 years ago. I don't see anyone remembering the Columbine High School shooting. That was the worse high school shooting to date and it was in Colorado. I remember correctly someone her is moving to Colorado.

I have a right to say what I would like. Even though in a time of war, a citizen's rights are diminished.

EDIT: I am gonna stop. Not because of Omega's threat, but because I am gonna be more mature.

I was really affected by this event. I was only six at that time. And I was at school only a few miles away from the World Trade Center, which was the main center-point of the attacks. So, I of course was shocked to hear of the happenings around that time. Although I didn't lose anyone important to me, I still was sad. And technically, the whole world is important to me. So maybe you could say I lost too many.

All I want is for everyone, even the hijackers, to be remembered. All the heroes, all the victims. Simply because they were lost within minutes. I don't want to see any hate for anyone and anything on such a day.

I want to see silence. Thought. Peace. Remembrance.

For just one day.

Hypr, can you not read? The hijackers were people just like us and the victims. They died, and they were most likely loved by others in their lifetimes. Today isn't a day to point fingers at them, and riot for security. It's a day to remember, not to hate. Heck, even the politicians took a break from the campaign to remember.

I knew you would ask that question... >>

Thanks./ I love how everyone supported terrorism here except me. You guys supported it by caring the idiots who did this all. There were a total of 16 hijackers.

. . . Did anyone say they supported what they did? No, we all said to REMEMBER. This topic ain't lasting for more than a day, that's my prediction, and mostly because of a certain person.

Not the time, Hypr. This topic is to Remember the victims of the attack, including the terrorists. What they did was wrong, we accept that. However, today isn't the day to point it out, as it dishonors all 3,000+ people who died.

Ending all non related disscussion, Now.

Actually 3,000 people total that they could find if they weren't  squished into dust (literally).

Don't post here unless your here to respect the ones who passed on 9/11. What you're doing is extremely disrespectful.

I will not mourn or respect the hijackers, as they are responsible for the rest of the death toll.  I will mourn and respect the victims, not the perpetrators.

How else do you think I go this many posts hunter? By sitting back and relaxing?
Nobody cares if you have a bunch of posts if they're all spam.

EDIT: You probably shouldn't have said you don't care then...

I also can't believe someone who is an American citizen, whether he's 13 or 21, does not find any amount, if even extremely miniscule, of respect for those who DIED. DIED. Some tried to stop the terrorists, but still DIED. I cannot emphasize this enough. This day means a lot, especially to those who lost loved ones, or were at the airplane terminal when those planes took off, who talked to those, maybe even only glanced at a person and smiled as they walked by... the losses were immense, and mourning was great. I feel strongly that remembering this event will go on for years, and maybe decades, to come, while we hope (and pray) that something this terrible will never happen again.

So? That's a reason to remember the tragedy that happened 7 years ago.

Anyway, It's over... So unless others want to keep this open, I foresee this becoming aa argument topic with a few certain members, so TopiClosed.
