As I said in another topic, that would mean 2000 posts a day, which isn't that likely.

We can't get 60,000 posts before the end of the year? =P

You have to understand, Jas, that most people are going to be getting off school soon, so they'd have more time to come on this site.

Not really, in all our time here we haven't passed 800 posts yet. In one day I mean.

Yeah, I'm trying to get there now... We're already at 231 posts, 232 with this one.

Well Im not much help, because my computer doesnt run the site very well. Its extremely slow

Blame the coding for stuff like the styleswitcher. I'm trying to find ways to reduce said coding...

oh ok yeah i think its been getting a little slower i have had times it takes over a minute for each page to come up

That'd probably have been my fault with all the coding I added that I found on the SMF Support forums =P

Ohh! Ohh! Pick me! I haz an idea!

Ok. Idea:

Divide the forum's active members (Within the past month) into two teams (Two admins per team for obvious reasons)(Non-active members can either be on neither team or both teams).

Two new forums are created, one viewable to each group.

In the forum, a new game of some sort is created. That'll be the only topic.

The two teams then get into a race to see which team can get more posts in their game in a certain time period. Whichever team gets the most posts gets some kind of award!

Thoughts? :)

i would do this sounds like fun..how about the losing team has to pay a other member that the admins choice and they pay them (blank)amount of clicks

A LOT of people are going to have less time to post between now and Christmas/ Hanuka. Some are travelling..so I do not think it's a good idea to have a contest with teams...you don't know if you will split up the busy & of towners fairly. Plus it has the potential to be a spamfest. I say we just post in the normal way.

Time limit can be decided by admins. ;)

And the spam is why there's two admins per team. The admins can take care of the spam, leaving the game to be run on it's on. ;)

Plus, I think we know better than to spam... For the most part... ???

i would wait till jan or feb till we start this if we do(i hope sounds like fun)

We're almost 6,500 posts away from the goal... We should get there by the end of December, especially when... It happens.

Yes Blade, if we can get 10k posts PER MONTH, we can make our goal of 100,000 posts by around April. I think 100,000 posts by April is a good goal.

And I've updated the count, 4 days late though. I'll probably update it on December 31, sometime at around 9:00PM Pacific Standard Time (PST, GMT -8: Pacific, Canada); I believe thats somewhere around 12:00PM EST.

W00T! This is gonna be great! I think our goal for the forum next December should be to get 3.5 million posts. :P
