My LEGO Nexus Organization

I have a great idea for a part at least of a story for LU thet will attract people to the forum!
It involves Flipz and DD101 meeting Treecleaver & Beeky on their way to visit MsRR , MJ  & others  at MLNO & MLNteam.
It would involve going through a computer portal ( like Alice through the looking glass) and discovering a wonderful place or places where all their questions can be answered, and shops abound... MLNO (and MLN Team) land.  Since I am equally involved in both sites, I will want to include both in the story.

I'd like to get some ideas rolling here, and I will add to and edit the story as we go along. Anyone who wants to collaberate is welcome.  Please comment, volunteer, suggest story ideas, etc.

One day, Treecleaver & Beeky were hanging out, wondering how to get some answers to a challenge they were having on MLN. Just then, Flipz & Designerdude101 walked up. Treecleaver told them of the conversation, and Flipz said...come along with us... we are headed for a wonderful place where all your questions can be answered!!  MsRR, ( other names, as minifigs are available) are already there, waiting to help. Then we can visit some shops!





Just want to remember this line for later:  So many shops.....  Yes, you can get anything you need here from reliable sellers, at good prices."

That's not bad! It might work.

I'll definitely be willing to do graphics for it. Photoshop is really good for swirly vortex whatnots.

EDIT: Oh, yeah. And be a character in it.

Maybe we could have Ogihci as the evil person.

You should add some more people to get here. Could I be in? I have black exo hair, any happy face, and an orange shirt (or any bright plain shirt) with black shorts.

Suggestion: (instead of comp portal)
They head into a deserted house far from the city. Then something strange happens, the wooden floor breaks apart and starts swirling around them. A faint blue glow is seen under them. Wha-what's happening? says Treecleaver. I don't know, but we're about to find out, says Beeky...

I like the dialogue, but we need the computer involved somehow.. it's a clue to the location...
I am planning to have as many members in as we can make minifigs for.  Also I do not want it to be scary... we are portraying a safe place. No Ogihci as the evil person.


How about :
They entered DD101's house, head for the computer, and he pushes some keys...   A faint blue glow is seen around them. Wha-what's happening? says Treecleaver. I don't know, but we're about to find out, says Beeky... Flipz & DD101 know where they are going....

But can we add some solids in the vortex?

I'm known by LeogAlienGuy and a few other people in the LUCL.

If I'm in the story, could I look like this?

The hair is actually purple, but if I edit the pictures, I can make the hair brown.

You need to glue that onto a blank/unused head.

Some people are also good at painting faces on minifigs...

i think that is too obvious...the mods will figure it out... but I like the  don't worry , we are almost there...let me think about the rest.

Why don't I jumble the letters?

 "What are all those letters floating around say?" says [insert name that we want to come here] "It looks like uhhh, L-N-M-O and M-T-A-N-L-E-M, what does this mean Flipz?" says TC. "Don't worry," says Flipz, we are almost there..."

Looks cool so far!

A few tips:

1. It will be a lot easier for people to read if we use a panel-by-panel format for the narration (i.e. like what Treecleaver, Beeky, and I use).
2. For the house sequence: please use simple baseplates for the walls; not only will it be a lot easier to build, but it will also be a lot easire to photograph (because you can alter the set more easily to get better camera angles).  Also, this way I could (possibly) build the set and use my blacklight during the teleportation.
3. If you can get your hands on a tripod for photography, do it.  I've worked with cameras long enough that I can (sort of) stabilize myself without one, but trust me, it's a lot easier if you can use a tripod.
4. We should have a list of important equipment for the different characters, so we can use it as an excuse to buy more lego sets so we can coordinate what the equipment will look like.

Example:

Treecleaver:
     1: Retractible Spatula (brown paddle)

Beeky31:
     1: Random Crystal (light blue crystal; possibly use lightsaber handle to make it stay in belt)
     2: (Enchanted Vibro-?) Sledge (black or gray lightsaber blade, technic bushings (gray; red for enchanted vibro-sledge), Technic cross-beam connector (gray))

HMMMMM.... I am picturing the vortex... in paint or other... with swirling letters... but how to do this in BRICKS???

Simple.  We don't.

Or rather, we use the baseplates, build the house, and photograph all of the characters reacting to a (non-existent) vortex.  Then someone *coughJascough* can edit in a cool vortex effect in Photoshop.

Also, one of the VIP downloads has a bunch of pics of different-colored  and -sized bricks which can be cut and pasted to add to the Vortex.

Excellent.  In a picture the letters could be in proper order...

We can do all of this together...in a collaberation the likes of which LEGO has not seen in its members before!

Also, is it possible to have the vortex surround the characters?  Sort of like the cosmic storm in "Fantastic 4"?

In the LU creation lab.

I agree, way too obvious. Once they catch on, the mods will not be happy campers. Also, the moderators for the LU gallery are perfectionists when it comes to approving gallery pics. If it doesn't 100% comply with the rules, they won't let it through.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the members are much more observant than the mods. If they catch on to what we're trying to do, they'll report it.

Really?  I've been able to mention both MLNO and MLN Team in comments, and I've mentioned/spoofed several non-lego stories/comics in my stories.  Maybe the mods just like me :P lol, jk. 

You're right about the pics, though; however, one trick that's gotten a lot past them is changing a word or two, then resubmitting it.  As far as photos go, the mods seem to understand that sometimes you can't get any better photos.

Also, I don't think the members in the LUCL will report us.  The ones interested in LU seem to be the same ones who'll let a few things slide.


As far as story ideas:  if the story of people going to MLNO/MLN Team seems too obvious, what about people coming from there?  That is the purpose of the "Start a Story" challenge after all...

Yeah, but if it's that obvious, people will catch on. The mods are much less strict on the MB's than the LU gallery.

Well so far on the LU lab, every one of my comments on creations ( is that the one you told me about on MLN Team) have made it through.
So I think this is worth a try.

NICE, thank you for the work that went into it.

I agree. A few of my comments that were helpful got rejected, and others that were slightly off-topic got through. There's a big piece of random chance involved.

I am working on the part where they open their eyes, and see the smiling members welcoming them...
I have them in the welcome topic...and everyone saying welcome to mlno, etc... I am trying to get it right so they can go from there to another part of the board.
