Title: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: MsRowdyRedhead on January 20, 2009, 04:53:50 pm http://us.universe.lego.com/en-us/newsnetwork/Story.aspx?id=95809
There are going to be MORE LU networkers! Who do you think the networker(s) will be? Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on January 20, 2009, 04:59:45 pm Looks interesting. I really don't have any clue, since we don't know that much of LOU yet, but I'd assume Brickkeeper's pet, since it was mentioned.
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Jade on January 20, 2009, 05:08:50 pm Interesting... I hope it comes out soon.
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on January 20, 2009, 05:42:17 pm I welcome click donations on my Plastic Inductor =P
I just started the quest today, even though I've had the module since it came out... More because I only just uploaded a LOU-related thing than anything else =P Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Rakoua on January 20, 2009, 05:43:10 pm Not interested. Too much plastic, makes my head explode.
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Jade on January 20, 2009, 05:50:47 pm I finally completed the rank a couple of days before Christmas...
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: uraw911 on January 20, 2009, 06:15:50 pm Looks like I should put mine out. :P I'm about to build my Rocket Game too! ;D
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Jas765 on January 20, 2009, 09:17:20 pm I bet this has something to do with the video slot in the inventory...
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on January 21, 2009, 06:59:18 am Maybe, we can hope =D
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: MĆLXTRŘM on January 21, 2009, 10:19:01 am I knew I should have done some sort of video when I was home... >_< Now I'll have to wait until spring break.
Or do a massive animation in Ps lol. Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Jade on January 21, 2009, 12:59:28 pm If it does have something to do with that, then I'm stuck. The only thing I have that can do video (now) is my phone... and its not that great.
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on January 21, 2009, 02:22:25 pm No, it's not part of the collection tab, instead the inventory. It seems we might just be able to make our own videos from clips from Networkers, like with the soundtrack for loops.
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Jade on January 21, 2009, 02:26:11 pm Ah, I get it now ;)
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: MĆLXTRŘM on January 21, 2009, 02:37:03 pm I wonder how the heck they'd work that...
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Jas765 on January 21, 2009, 02:45:43 pm I'd rather make my own videos. It will be pretty interesting to see what they come up with.
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Jade on January 21, 2009, 02:46:59 pm It'll be interesting, nonetheless.
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: lionytai on January 21, 2009, 08:01:49 pm http://us.universe.lego.com/en-us/newsnetwork/Story.aspx?id=95809 There are going to be MORE LU networkers! Who do you think the networker(s) will be? When did you find out? Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on January 22, 2009, 07:03:58 am It'd be like Loops or Stickers. Just moving. In my opinion anyway.
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: MĆLXTRŘM on January 22, 2009, 12:21:29 pm But they do let you upload vids to LU. :-\
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: . on January 22, 2009, 05:31:09 pm But they do let you upload vids to LU. :-\ qft i disagree with him b/c as crx said it is allowed on lu.Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: MsRowdyRedhead on January 22, 2009, 11:01:05 pm I do not think there is a connection between the video slot in the inventory, and LU.

Still, it would be cool to be able to put your own vids on your page.
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on January 23, 2009, 06:07:20 pm Yeah, but it would have need for the mods to watch every single vid all the way through...
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: MĆLXTRŘM on January 23, 2009, 06:24:06 pm They could put a limit on how often you can upload vids, as well as their length.
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Extremefire on January 23, 2009, 06:25:11 pm and maybe get more mods
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: . on January 24, 2009, 07:17:59 am very true crx, blade and venom i agree
btw i don't think that there are a lot of mods on lu creation lab i submitted a creation on augest 23rd 2008 and i is still pending >:( it really is frustrating >:( >:( >:( Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: . on January 24, 2009, 07:34:05 am Quote very true crx, blade and venom i agree Let me guess: You sent a LDD model. It doesn't work unless you send a JPEG file, first. ;) Although, oddly enough, I've submitted a JPEG file already, but it still won't allow me to upload a LDD file yet. Weird. btw i don't think that there are a lot of mods on lu creation lab i submitted a creation on augest 23rd 2008 and i is still pending >:( it really is frustrating >:( >:( >:( Like I said, I think that the videos will have predetermined images, because the video information is stored in the Inventory, not in the Collection. This way is pretty much how things are going to go. Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: . on January 24, 2009, 08:18:15 am Quote Hmm...I'm not sure, then. You could try sending it again. i just did :pTitle: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: lynndr on January 27, 2009, 03:24:38 pm Just received a Lego Club email and it included a link to this:
"Pirate from Lego Universe Sets Sail for My Lego Network Very soon, another personality from LEGO Universe will drop anchor on My LEGO Network. The newest Networker from the game is named Captain Jack Knife. The captain lives for the moment while leading his band of hearties (thatâs pirate-speak for âfriendsâ), the Black Seas Barracuda crew! The Barracuda pirates once plundered the waters of LEGO Universe with pride and honor, but some time ago Captain Jack Knifeâs blustery bravado got their ship stuck in a shady part of town! The captain displayed the courage of at least fifty men when the Barracuda crew was looting on the high seas, and he still swaggers even though nowadays he spends most of his time scheming to free his ship! So far, itâs been a fiasco every time the pirates have taken a shot at getting their ship back out to sea. One big reason for the repeated failures is that Captain Jack Knife likes to keep his pirates happy with plenty of their favorite drink â root beer! Whatâs more, the captainâs crewmembers donât pay him much mind if he calls them things like âlazy scalawagâ while heâs lying in a hammock! Music is one thing that will always rouse Captain Jack Knife from one of his frequent naps. The captain loves a tune, because he digs getting down and dancingâso much so that many of his close mates have learned to take cover when he starts shaking his booty! Though heâs not the greatest dancer, Captain Jack Knife most definitely is good at counting treasure. The Barracuda piratesâ mountain of riches may not tower as high as it once did, but the captain still has a trove of lovely trinkets for trading! Captain Jack Knife says, âYar, me young hearties, ye can come anâ see me soon on My LEGO Network! Har har! Together we shall share root beer and talk oâ tradinâ! Yar, âtwill be a bigger blast than a bloominâ boatload oâ cannons! Arrrr!!â" So far, I can't get to Captain Jack Knife on MLN - but hopefully soon. I've gone to the page to register, entered my address, but when it says 'choose what you want to be subscribed to', only the LU newsletter appears!
It wont let me continue if I don't change settings on the page (the only setting being un/subscribe for the LU newsletter). Did this happen to you? Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: lynndr on January 28, 2009, 05:34:24 pm Hmmm... weird about the different email options that people have.
Jas - you're in Australia, right? Maybe that's why it's not showing the Lego Club option for you. I only suggest that because I can't see some stuff about Brickmaster because it is only available in the U.S. (I'm in Canada) - so maybe the Lego Club email is also geographically limited (though why it would be I don't know). As for the Shop... maybe they are only making it available to people who can pay / adults. Parents can get upset about direct marketing to minors. Just wild guesses you understand. ;) Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: MsRowdyRedhead on January 28, 2009, 06:03:51 pm Lynndr, I would say you have once again displayed an extraordinary talent for deductive reasoning.

I kind of wished it would have been smaller (2 blocks instead of 3) but the rate of return is much improved. I just hope this "Mini-Rank" is better than the Bionicle Rank which some folks were finishing in just 3-4 days and wasn't fully setup correctly. This story sounds better to begin with hopefully it is well thought through and properly setup from the begining. Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Jade on February 11, 2009, 12:57:24 pm The new module is cool, and... you said we could share the new networker in a week? I'm just asking because I'm the news person over at GS for The Lego Union.
Edit/ Why can't I seem to get spoiler tags to ever work?! Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on February 11, 2009, 01:10:10 pm Lynndr: It's ok, because...
JJ/Lynndr: I just wanted the stuff to remain secret for a little while, so it can be mysterious, but if you want to in other places(Minus the Module code), sure, but here I would like everything to stay secret for at least a week. But, the Module code stays secret even after that, forever. We're not having a repeat of the LCM badge =P JJ: [ spoiler] *Spoiler stuff* [/ spoiler] Remove the spaces. Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Jade on February 11, 2009, 01:13:11 pm didn't work when I tried that... but thanks anyways. I won't share the code, because everyone over there is already signed up. ;)
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: lynndr on February 11, 2009, 01:21:52 pm Blade: OK thanks for explaining. I agree totally about the module code. The newsletter was quite explicit that it should remain secret.
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on February 11, 2009, 01:27:04 pm Lynndr: Yes, although some people on MLNT seem to think that because everywhere else has it, it's okay to share. But Lego themselves said not to share the Module code.

About that Retuned Tuning Fork Great job overcoming the My LEGO Network Challenge! Did I mention that Retuned Tuning Fork parts like the Endless Ohm and the Heliotropic Harpoon Handle are a bit tricky to come by? No? Well, in the known universe, only a ninja leader named Numb Chuck can chant the Endless Ohm. Donât believe all that you may hear about Chuck! After all, science has proven that smashing bricks with mind power alone is very nearly close to impossible! Also, the last known holder of a Heliotropic Harpoon Handle is Captain Jack Knife of the Barracuda Pirates. The chances of Jack trading for the Handle areâletâs see hereâŚWell, maybe youâll catch him in a good mood! One last thing! Relations between the pirates and ninjas are, um, a bit awkwardâopenly hostile really. Good luck then! * will be thrilled ifâI mean when you take him a Retuned Tuning Fork! To Do List

Quote It sounds like a pretty good sized quest. I think we'll need A LOT of Plastic Pellets. I suppose it's time to bring out my new, blue, [edited] LOU Module. ;D Like I wrote Lego when they used that adjective in the description of one of the Racers sets, the actual meaning of that word has no place in Lego. ;)Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: 0PureChaos0 on February 12, 2009, 04:26:00 pm Many Lego members already posted the code and his name. So much for being secret. ::) Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Jas765 on February 12, 2009, 11:49:18 pm I would of thought that the mods would purposely try and deny posts mentioning the code, but I guess not.
Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: MĆLXTRŘM on February 13, 2009, 12:06:42 am Quote LEGO actually used that word in a set description? Weird. They did until I emailed them about it. =P They changed it in the next catalog. And no worries. Anyway, it just shows you that we (not you, since you actually went to an event, but the rest of us) can take a stand for the moral decision. It's often the minority that has to. Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: MĆLXTRŘM on February 18, 2009, 11:14:11 pm With the knowledge that some MLNers view me as a role model (or a god, either way =P), I posted on LMB discouraging use of the code. I also told Lego that they should deactivate the code once those who attended the Event get the badge, and to make future codes more obscure.
Hopefully it'll get through. ::) Title: Re: MORE NEW LEGO UNIVERSE NETWORKERS.(Source: MsRowdyRedhead) Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on February 19, 2009, 07:27:40 am I agree with you CRX... Especially with the deactivating of the codes.
