After a while of suggesting, and polling, a Debate Board has been opened here (http://mln.smfforfree4.com/index.php/board,187.0.html)! PLEASE read the rules first, as rule breaking in this new forum especially will not be tolerated.

I am beginning to wonder about the wisdom of having a debate board. Some of the posters clearly do not understand what a debate board is, or what a debate is, and apparently refuse to comply with the rules. Non-debate and spam posts have polluted it beyond recognition....
I am not happy.

The first day I was here, I read all the rules...  and when I needed help, I PM'd Blade, who was very helpful.

You need to read and understand the rules too... That is the most important part. It is obviuos when people have not read them, or do not understand them.

Well I'm going to assume that the rules you are referring to are the rules in the postings section that you find when you sign up. However, I think one important detail is missing, what are we debating about? Are we supposed to come up with a topic, or is it provided, perhaps hidden somewhere. Nevertheless, we are here, so I'll propose this question, open for debate"Is clarity a responsibility when speaking or is it simply something to be sought"?

... Um, you find the rules in the Debate board, and that you find in the forum index, since the portal isn't the main forum. And there are more rules that aren't in the sign-up that you can find in the Forum Help Center...
