Title: How to make a table for your Order Log
Post by: uraw911 on February 18, 2009, 06:54:59 am
Here's how to make a table for your shop, since almost everyones' order logs are very messy. ;D Copy this is if you want to. :)
Code:
[table]
[tr][td]Name[/td][td]Items[/td][td]Sucessful   [/td][td]#[/td][/tr]
[tr][td]uraw911   [/td][td]1 apple   [/td][td]yes[/td][td]1[/td][/tr]
[tr][td]uraw911[/td][td]1 apple[/td][td]yes[/td][td]2[/td][/tr]
[tr][td]uraw911[/td][td]1 apple[/td][td]yes[/td][td]3[/td][/tr]
[/table]

It will look like this:
NameItemsSucessful   #
uraw911   1 apple   yes1
uraw9111 appleyes2
uraw9111 appleyes3

Some tips (if you are wondering what all that stuff is) ;)
  • The td and /td (with brackets) is a table column. You put words in between them. :D To space them out, put a few spaces next to the longest word in the column.
  • The tr and /tr (with these []) is a table row. They go around the td /td's in a row.
  • The table and /table (yeah...) is, uh, what finished the table. Put it around everything that's in the table.

Mods, do whatever you like with this if you want to. :)

Hehe... this has been known and sometimes used in old shops (XtreMart, Z-Mart (which has returned :D), and some of the other old shops too I think). Also, if you want to change the order of the text, just swap out parts of it and you can make the words appear in different orders, like this:

Order #UsernameItem (Quantity)Clicks Paid
1Ab-Z11
2Ab-Z11
3Ab-Z11

so what's an order log?

an order log is where you keep track of your orders. "order" "log"

Say...would this work for listing your items too?

Maybe... you'd have to change all the headings, but it could work.
