If there are any problems or so, don't hesitate to complaininquire about the here or in the Forum Help Center! Also, if you have any suggestions, post them here or in the suggestions forum please.

I can hardly see any difference... except lots more little icons.

And the 'Powered by EzPortal' at the bottom of pages.

That's because one of the more awesome features is unfortunately going to be staff-only =/

But, it's way easier to edit and such. Plus, I made the news thing longer, in case I decide to actually make separate News things.

... Really, we'd have more things if those other things were still around =P

Put up a new block... It's called the "Poll" block, and I think you may be able to figure out exactly why... =D

It's great, but could you put the 'current online users' thing at the bottom again?

It's on the right side, I just thought the other columns needed more stuff ;) Plus, by the time it's all the way down, with everything else, not many people would see it... But if you want I could move it I guess.

I just had it on that side because on another forum they have a sidebar and they said it would be better on the right for that one, so... ;)

Yah...but it TAKES YOU to the PORTAL!, there is no link to get back to the category or main forum without goint to the task bar at the top of the page, on if you'r in off topic and want to go to a different part pof offtopic that's just a pain.
I don't think the poll box offsets the inconvenience, so I am hoping ypu can work some Blade magic and fix it!

Well it's either having two duplicate forum tabs, or the link. And you don't even know what's making us so excited about this. The ability to edit the blocks from the portal, the ability to minimize the blocks, the ability to have multiple news boards, the ability to have blocks in places other than the homepage, more blocks(Not just polls, though half of them won't work because half the stuff isn't enabled or so, like the switcher thing they've got.), and the ability to make some only visible to some groups.

I would like to fix this, but right now it's looking like it's either one glitch or another =/ Plus, there's an image that'll take you to the forum homepage in the top left portal block.

well it's going to be a real pain in the tutu, so I will likely spend MUCH less time here if it isn't fixed. I would rather have an extra tab then have to navigate through the dang poirtal every time I want to go somewhere...

Sorry, I just don't think everyone should be inconvenienced for a portal few USE.

Or, you could just go up a little higher and use the tab? Because the category thing isn't that far away from the tabs on the part with the messages and everything. And do you know that the portal is what all new users see when they first get onto the site from the normal mln.smfforfree.com link? =/ And since I don't have an SMF Support forum account, the only way that this can get fixed is if someone else reports it, which hasn't happened yet. Maybe you're the first one to even know about this. Give it time to be fixed, I think this on SMFForFree sites has only been out a day or so.

Looks good to me. I like that I can minimize the blocks that don't interest me. Nice change.

Well... I don't know if its just me, but when I click any of the topics from the homepage, I get redirected to another site completely.

its an iFrame attack most likely. firefox (especially with adblock plus) blocks those.

iFrames... Hmm, I think that may be what this system uses actually, I dunno though... =/

Just as long as it won't affect any of my days stuff on the comp, I'll be fine.

I haven't had any problems with re-directs... I'm always careful of where I'm clicking at. :-\

iFrames are for images and videos, so no. this iFrame may have been hijacked though.
Mods, check the coding for the site and see if the iFrame(s) are working right.
if it isn't an iFrame, it is probably a Coolwebsearch.com (don't visit that site!!!!!) cookie, which hijacks your web browser. this may also explain why it only affects IE and not FF, if only IE is infected. try the free Trend Micro CWShredder (search trendmicro.com) to fix it.
you could also try running a virus scan, but it might not find the coolwebsearch cookie.

Mods can't check the coding, and even the admins can't really, since this is hosted... I can check the source though, which I'm doing now...

Nothing came up in the source of the portal about iFrames...

than it's probably a CW cookie.

I have noticed lately it has been freezing my screen.

I haven't had a problem with my screen freezing - but I have noticed that NoScript is blocking something new: lookery.com. Not sure what that is about and it may not be related to the Portal upgrade.

(off topic: Has Photo Bucket suddenly reduced the size of the free account? Lots of members' sigs are full of "bandwidth exceeded, upgrade to Pro". It has been explained to me.  ;))

GAH!!  Now I'm seeing all sorts of boxes saying "Photobucket: Bandwidth exceeded.  Upgrade to Pro today!!"  Is this a side effect of the portal thing?

No, it's my fault. Somehow I exceeded 25 GB bandwidth in a month, so all my images got replaced with that.
