Title: The Members of MLNO Post by: MÆLXTRØM on April 17, 2009, 09:19:30 pm Post here any autobiographical information you'd like the other members of MLNO to know about you - your interests, your background, etc - and of course don't give any information you'd be uncomfortable with us knowing. Each person should only make one post in the topic, and if they wish to add more to it, just edit the post.
I'll put one in probably later. -Credit to Legodac for the idea- Title: Re: The Members of MLNO Post by: lionytai on April 17, 2009, 09:22:45 pm Well, as a lot of people might not know, i am American, but i live in taiwan. feel free to ask anything about taiwan via commenting on my profile.

I did all that club page stuff, it was fun. My bro found the kanoka club glitch where you can get infinite points, that was lots of fun. :P I joined MLN around February 2008. I then forgot about it for two months. :D After I saw it advertised in games again, I went back on MLN. I got to Rank 1. Yay! Then the club pages could upgrade to MLN, I thought that was pretty cool. I upgraded and I got tons of bricks and stuff, and I was really happy. I got up to Rank 6 thanks to the LMB :D It was kinda helpful to me actually. :P I just read the walkthroughs though. Soon I got active there and I made lots of Duo, Trio, and Group Performance deals with people and after a month I had 11 platinum albums. I also was the 2nd in command Space Skull, that was awesome. I also joined MLTips, (from a link on MsRR's page) That was my first forum ever, and I met lot's of people. Then it happened... I got featured on September 13! I was wondering why I had 11 FRs that night, that was really strange for me. I woke up the next morning and I had over 100 FRs, I was freaking out. That's night I finally figured out that I was featured I started running around the house yelling. I was super happy. Soon I was getting almost 1 platinum a day. Then, about 1 1/2 weeks of being featured I had 18 platinums, and on that morning, Rank 6 changed. I harvested my modules, and I noticed my trios harvested at 10 HSs each. Then I checked my inventory, and I had tons of HSs. I was really happy, that I was about to be Rank 7. I saw that Platinums now only need 5 golds, I got three, since I needed one for Rank 9. Then I became Rank 7. I saw 11 plats in my inventory. I looked at the Enchanted Harp Blueprint, then facepalmed. ;D I passed through rank 7 quickly, and got to Rank 8. I joined MLNO from a link on Plotkin's page. I soon got to Rank 9. It was very easy, since I was featured still. I also starting taking guitar lessons, it was really fun. I got to Rank 10 in a month and a half. ;D
EDITED by me... Title: Re: The Members of MLNO Post by: Legodac on April 18, 2009, 08:55:09 am Thanks CRX, what a great idea for a topic, I wish I'd thougt of it, Just kidding, I'm very happy you did what you did.
Hi everyone, I think I'll start with my username, legodac. You all know what Lego is, dac are my initials, My first name I'm not supposed to say, but it begins with a D. I've loved those initials for a long time, because they can also read Direct and Alternating Current. I am a Licensed Electrician in Ontario Canada. The name of my business is D/A/C Electric. I was the first born of a Carpenter and an Ex National Ballet of Canada Dancer, born in Toronto on Feb 03 1962. That's right, I'm older than 97% of the people here. I have a sister and two brothers, who, like me, all have families of their own, but I am the only grandparent.....more to come I went through the ranks as most of you are doing right now when it comes to school. It was a love hate relationship. I loved to learn, but the peer pressure was to much, everyone out for themselves and some doing anything to be above all. That's life. I've learned to live with it and I'll never stop trying to change it. Getting back to school, in grade 9 I attended a private school, where I bourded as well. It was without a doubt one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Some of you are already in college or university, this was the same. We had wednesday afternoons set aside for sports, to make up, there were saturday morning classes, then it was home for the rest of the weekend. We wore suits to class, and full dress kilts and tunics in cadets. It was regimented, but even cool to me at the time. I loved it. How can anyone love school you ask? Well, I'll tell you. It also happened to be the time when my parents where going through a very rocky divorce. So being away from that was a blessing. To make matters worse, my Dad was also fighting the wolves at the door, his construction business was in bankruptcy. Needless to say, I didn't return to the private school for grade 10. Three different high schools and a lot of moving found me 2 weeks before I turned 16. I decided to leave my family and move out west on my own. Three days after I turned 16 I was on a bus, heading for Edmonton Alberta. I had $300.00 in my pocket when I left. My Dad drove me to the bus station. I was terrified of leaving, but even more terrified to stay. I was out west for a year and I always had a job. I have mixed feelings about the experience. I had some good times and some bad ones as well. It was a hard time in my life, one of them anyways. However I learned a lot about the world and the people in it, I learned a lot about myself too. The most important was, that I missed my family, so I returned home just before turning 17. Well, enough about school for a while, I think I'll go back to the beginning for a while, that is, as far back as I can remember. I'm talking about my first Lego set. My Grandmother, who lived to 103, took me to a little toy store in downtown Toronto when I was about 5 or 6 years old. I actually remember walking into the store and seeing a black metal spiral staircase leading to a second floor. She told me I could have one of anything in the store. It wasn't a typical toy store, it seemed to be one of those educational kind of places. We climbed the stairs and on the second floor, in the centre of the room, was a display, a stack of boxes, it was all Lego. It was the most wonderfull thing I'd ever seen, I wanted it all. "No totty lamb, just one", she said, that's what she called me sometimes, she was from England. I picked the Shell gas station, I still have one of the gas pumps, they're really small. I keep it in a special place now, protected from the elements. A couple of months ago I took a pic of it and submitted it to Lego as a Gallery creation to say Happy 50th Birthday LEGO. I'll show it to you, hang on, I'll go get it. Actually it's in the LU creations, I called it "Candlelight Vigil to the Dearly Departed" (http://i681.photobucket.com/albums/vv176/legodac/Candlelightvigilforthedearlydepa-1.jpg) Let's talk about "Lego Dreams" for a while now. Number 9 on the hit list would be the ultimate, that is, the 9th world wide, Lego Certified Professional. What? You didn't know there were only 8 in the entire world ?? Only one Canadian, rats, he's on the other side of the country, in Vancouver. What will I do now ?? Keep on Brickn' is the only answer I can fathom. Keep on sharing my creations, start a Lego Club in my area, build something fantastic with my new found friends and wow the world, by showing off. Getting the pic yet, Next time someone accusses you of showing off, just simply turn to them, smile, wave, and say thanks for the compliment REMEMBER EVERYONE, POST ONLY ONCE, AND MODIFY WHEN DESIRED, YOUR AUTOBIOGRAPHY IS ONE POST Title: Re: The Members of MLNO Post by: FIR£PRØØF on April 18, 2009, 05:14:21 pm As many of you know, my name is Matt, i live in america. i play guitar, drums, and piano. i really like music.

Hi people of MLNO! Well, you've probably realised by know that my username is tombomdoodle, or for short, TBD. I live in the north west of England, where I have lived all my life. Actually, I have lived in the same house all my life, except for when it was being built, we stayed at my grandma's then (I was about six months old when the house was finished). I have enjoyed playing with LEGO all my life, and I don't think I wan't to stop playing with it! I only joined the LEGO Club online, however, in 2007. My favourite subjects at school are Science, Food Technology (Cooking, in other words) and P.E (Sport). And according to some test results, I'm the second cleverest in my year at our school! I am also Grade 3 in piano, soon to be Grade 4, but I don't play music at school. I don't like the teacher (in other words, my teacher's better!) TBD Title: Re: The Members of MLNO Post by: Robbie1997347 on April 19, 2009, 03:45:31 pm I started playing LEGO at age 3. And I kept bought LEGO sets ever since :)

Title: Re: The Members of MLNO Post by: Chase25 on April 20, 2009, 01:51:12 pm Hehe, here's my FULL story....
Hello, my name is Chase25 (my Lego and MLNO username). I starting playing with Legos (Mega Blocks, lol Tongue) at the age of 2/half. I made great gigantic buildings with them and then when I put them up I acted like Godzilla. I got more into real size Legos at the age of 5. I LOVED the minifigs. They were just the best. Roll Eyes Then at the age of 6 I started to build a mini city out of a tub of Legos. So fun. Smiley I got more creative. Then when I got into 1st grade I started to get more into school. I didn't play with Legos that much anymore. All until I turned 8 when I got this amazing Christmas set of Legos. I built it and it was so fun to build and easy, too. I got it for an early Christmas present. On my 9th birthday I got the best set in the WORLD. It was the full set of the full Hogwarts Castle. I was so happy. My mom organized the pieces. And then I started building...and building...and building and I finally finished it. It was my hardest set yet (heh, that rhymes). As days, weeks, months went by my set got destroyed and tore down. I started to get more into school again. But on spring break I was going to make the best creation by me I have ever made in the entire world. On spring break I thought of an idea to make a ship. So I did. I got ALL my torn down Legos and started building. I stayed up nights and nights (dozing off after about 2 in the morning) and did it for days. I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in my room. I had finished it FINALLY. It was GIG@NTIC!!!!! It was as long as my dad and as tall as my knee to the ground. I took a LOAD of pictures and made a video of it. It was my best creation I had EVER made. I tried to take it to school but I decided I didn't want it to be destroyed, lol Tongue. At 10, I got into writing, so I stopped play with Legos. I started to write a book. (Well, I really always wanted to be a writer but I was inspired by the E.B.White books. So I started. It took me a long time. At 11 years old, I was starting to get into sports. I played Soccer and Baseball for 3 seasons (3 seasons=1 year). I then started playing indoor Soccer. Out of all those seasons I played, my team got 3 gold medals and 1 bronze medal (4th Place out of an 8-team league). I finished my book later that year and showed it to my parents. They were amazing but said I need to work on a few things. So I started editing and still am. Tongue Now out of the past 5 years I had been wanting to go to Lego.com but somehow I didn't until that faithful day. I had turned 12 a month ago and got a Toa Mahri Jaller. I went online to "WWW.Lego.com". I then got on the page! I went to register and chose my name to be Chase (lol Tongue), and I put my password and secret question. Then it said There already is a user named "Chase" please try "Chase25" or something like that. So I did and that's how I got my name. Smiley So when I got on I went nuts. First I went to the club page maker to make my club page. Yes, I was a n00b but who cares? I started making my page. It turned out lame but okay. I worked on it by get more points and a higher rank bye adding people to my friend list. At October I FINALLY got on the Message Boards and just loved it. I posted about 3 posts and waited and it kept saying "Pending". So it finally got through and I then saw that I, I was an apprentice. Which I guess was some Jedi Rank (Tongue). So then I saw golden rank that had Inventor for the name. It looked wicked. I saw 4 people with the name. Those people were: jhmixer, pinkpanther, Empire981 and....Rahkshi8000. Rahkshi had the most posts of like 5,800. So I bowed down to him. Smiley So then I figured that it was a posting rank (duh), so I started posting. I posted in the news forum on this topic called Brick York Times II. I had just gotten here when the first one got locked. So I filled out the forum and started reporting. It was so fun. I loved the in-commands who where jhmixer 1st pinkpanther 2nd and Ronald910 3rd. I SO wanted to become an in-command so I started posting more stories. And before I knew it I was a Junior Builder. Then the war began. TheSuperDude and me back then were arch-enemies. Me and him started posting up the wazoo worth of stories and finally I got 4th-in-command. I felt so happy! I just couldn't wait. I controlled 3 stations and was 4th in-command to the BEST one. Then I became a Craftsman which was so awesome. So I posted up the wazoo. I posted like you wouldn't even imagine. Roll Eyes LOLZ. Then someone became active...and that someone was the post legend and creation legend Empire981. So then he started posting up the wazoo. I mean no offense, but about 3 quarters of his posts were spam. And no offense to Lego moderators but they did a pretty bad job of stopping the posts. But, I then became an Inventor! I was happy. Smiley January came and I got on the Top Ten club pages and was happy! I got like 900 requests a day. And I got thousands and thousands of hits. Then on the 14th I logged in and saw...that it said "Upgrade your old Club Page to My Lego Network". And I was so angry I went on strike. I posted saying it wasn't fair on the Talk to the Mods. Then a user named Neo_Blademan_Seed_Cross (lol, he's a legend), he posted saying MLN was BETTER. So then we started getting into it about MLN and Club Pages and started arguing. And when the posts were approved man, there was LOAD of em'. Then when JammyJam10 logged on and deleted the posts. I was angry and still on strike. In February I still had a Club Page I saw an account called "wwwdotMLNdotsmfforfree4dotcom" So I typed in the address and registered and got a PM from Rahkshi8000 saying I am welcome to post anywhere but I should post in the the welcome forum, so I did. And eventually I accepted defeat (lol) and decided to give in. And I got rewards of up the wazoo! I was so happy. I got a TON of badges, also! And I started PMing a lot of people on knew on Lego.com. I was so excited. I got to know people and got to talk a lot in email with craZyRacrXtreme, such a nice guy. I loved trading items and posting on this site. Also, my first banner was made by the one and only Timposter aka T(he)Imposter. Tongue I tried to become an admin or moderator but I got rejected, but that's alright. Months past and I had to move to Colorado so I quit Lego.com and MLNO for a while. Then I came back. I really only came back to MLNO. I still was Rank 5 on MLN. And then my Lego.com "Chase25" account got hacked. And I was mad. I then got it back about 3 weeks later typing my regular password. Huh? I joined a team called the Network Guardians with Hyprgig, TigerBurell, ZeroShadow and Me. At first our team was pretty lame but we got cool. Cool I turned 13 on August 16th in 2008. I was happy to become an official teen. As type progressed my family and I moved to New York to get my book published. I was happy as an 80,000,000,000,000 foot smiley face. Tongue But it got rejected so I'm working on it, editing, looking over ect; Then about December 13th I did a mean thing which lead to a bad mean thing on MLNO. I threatened this forum but I forgave everyone. I hope everybody accepts that. I have had a fun time on Lego.com and MLNO. It's great to become a liked person on the internet. Smiley My Likes and Dislikes: I like to go snowboarding I like to have Big Mac (DIE WHOPPER!!!) I like to play Soccer and Baseball (Soccer's better, though) I like to building Lego's such as Bionicles, Pirates (with their ships) and Castle...oh, and who could forget Harry Potter Tongue I like MLN I like MLNO I like...Chuch Norris, LOL Tongue I hate beans (you know why) I hate hackers I hate Robert Peck (horrible, mean writer) I hate people who don't know.....THIS-IS-SPARTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate Myspace (always stops my computer dead) I hate dupers I hate....the Message Boards (SPAM) Title: Re: The Members of MLNO Post by: The Host on April 20, 2009, 06:58:53 pm Zero Legacy Shadow / [Renegade Phantom] Hello, I'm Renegade Phantom(currently), although I have been in the past: zero_shadow(LMBs) Zero Legacy Shadow Eleanor: ZLS Eleanor: Wielder of the Sword Zero Legacy Shadow [Renegade Phantom] So yeah, that's me. I love to write stories, poems, and almost anything, and I do that a lot, mostly on the comp. I may update this, but that's just a bit about me that I'm sure many of you knew, but in case you didn't, then there. I love singing over all things, I annoys everyone but hey. In about 2004 or 2005 I got a Hogwarts Castle (The Harry Potter 3 one) with that old Wizards Tower (whats the name). But in 2006 I went to Toys 'R' Us and got my 1st ever Exo-Force set. I loved it and got another, and another. And now I have lodes! I love Power Miners and Star Wars lego as well, but they can never replace Exo-Force. I broke my arm on Easter Day 2006 (about 5 days after my B-day). But I lived on! I have a Wii, a PS2 and a PSP! I like to play Wii Sports (Wii) and Guitar Hero 3 (PS2)! Well thats all until I update it. Until my next Edit, here is to the Future! Title: Re: The Members of MLNO Post by: Iconox on June 04, 2009, 08:44:09 pm Hi people! Well, an sutobiography. Leet's see what I can do ;)
I guess you could say I got my first Lego set in 1998 back when I was 3. My parents bought me afew Duplo sets that I played with along with my stuffed animals and stuff. I remember in '01 I got Toas Lewa and Tahu. My mom would get me the Turagas sometimes, and I would always lose them. I then kinda stopped playing with Lego for awhile until about 2004 when I got a Boggarak visorak. Then I went Lego-crazy and now have like 150 Bionicles! Well, that's pretty much it for my lego story. Oh, now for the rest. I'm a pretty faithful Christ Follower, but I haven't been that way forever. My mother and father were raised in Catholic homes and grew sick and tired of the meaingless organized ritual. They both fell away and basically became your average fallen-away Catholics. We probably would still be like that had a miraculous turn of events happened. My father became ill and started getting heart arithmias. He had to go through a pretty stressful heart surgery which was hard on all of us. It was during this time when he realized that he needed to turn his life around though for the sake of himself and his family. My father prayed down at the local Catholic church for a year and a half before he found meaning in Christ Jesus. All of his questions were answered fairly quickly and he started looking for a church. He found Calvary Chapel and we went there for our first service about 3 years ago. Me and my dad both walked down to the front of the chapel at the end of the service, prayed the sinner's prayer, received Christ, and were born again (saved). So that's about it for now. I'll probably add on more later but I wanted ya guys to get te jist of things. Cya 'round! -Iconox Title: Re: The Members of MLNO Post by: Saturn2.0 on June 04, 2009, 09:32:55 pm Well, I was born in Austin, Texas. I'm 15 right now (B-day is 4/11/94). I've been around Lego sets since about 2 (duplo), and began to collect normal Lego's at age 4. I own alot of starfighter sets (star wars), and several other creations. I also have an airport with a blue passenger plane. I collected all the Toa Mata, but then, lost them, due to bro-zilla. I do have Mahri Matoro, Irnakk, Carapar, Piruk, Sir Kentis (old Knight's Kingdom), and Mahri Jaller's.... pet thing. I have some Mars Mission sets, including the Alien mothership.
-Unfortunately, because of all the Lego's I have, I no longer buy them: my room isn't a movie theater. Fortunately, I have gotten creative, and managed to put some under my bed, or hang some starfighters in the "hangar". -I joined the Lego Club ("Play", sheesh, stupid name) at 2006, about a year after the Katrina Hurricane, but started to gain activeness at around the end of 2006. At the beginning of 2007, I discovered DRC, a racing game, no longer existing (to be replaced by DRC), and joined Zero. I met many "super-racers", leaders, and, some other players. Too bad the game was announced to be locked at around March, due to the superglitch. And so, the game was locked. I was then recruited to be part of ZETS (Zero Elite), and experienced the ZETS's spam wars (long story, when Double was in there). And then a year passed, and the Club pages were removed by MLN, which angered me..... at first, since I had a marvelous homepage, and achieved 8 white stars (after 8 black stars), and ..... actually, I'm happy they're gone, they were old, and not to mention I only had three awards: the page build award, Kanohi, and Top Ten (which seemed a dud, since other people with not so glamorous pages were in the Featured Club Page, it's better in MLN, since it's usually a click count or something). I was awarded the Beta-testers badge, and SPA badges, so I had access to retro stickers, in the old page system. I managed to get to rank 4, and then in the Winter, my page was locked, since I typed the wrong password too many times (it should have been unlocked after 24 hours or less, but NoOOOooo). I was inactive for a while, trying to figure out what was up with my account. I tried to re-send the password via e-mail, but my e-mail account was a "child account" (when I log into that account, I feel like I'm a FIVE YEAR OLD!!! Good thing I got a new one). I had no choice, and had to make a new account, which seems like a fresh start now, since that account was really slow and backed up. Around February of 2009, the LRC game beta was finally announced..... to rank 3ers. That blew up my patience.... so much waiting...... there were probably newer people to lego.com than me, already in rank 3, and I had to wait more than them. I was in rank 1 months ago, since I thought it was no big deal (MONTHS ago, not anymore). So I waited. It was announced the game would be released on April 20, but then, they had problems, and said they were going to release it on May 11, then they had even more problems (man, they should have added the skip button in that time, they SHOULD do that with all the time they have), and the date was moved to mid-June. So here I am. But let's back up a little. A few months ago, around April, the HQ's were started, but people were too stubborn to let go of their team, being the "lucky ones" to start the HQ FIRST. So after waiting so long, we saw a team ressembling Zero, but it was chosen already (if I started a team HQ, and so many people told me I chose the team that ressembled us, that we told people "we would choose the team that best ressembles _________", but nobody cared), which lead to a minor war. Not to mention after that, the mods told us, "the old teams don't exist", I mean, we're still here, united mentally, if the old teams didn't exist, literally, nobody in DRC would exist anymore then :o. That did "spit" into us, just to dissolve us out. That ticked me off. Later then, JJ10 restarted the HQ's (she's the leader now :o!!!), and I decided to start an election in the Slicksta HQ, since the "government" was unstable, and the best thing to do is have an election, DEMOCRACY :D!!!!! So we wait, until the end of time............ Oh, about me: -My favorite restaurant is Gatti's Pizza. -My favorite planet is Saturn. -My favorite color is green. -My favorite game is chess (video game is SSB Brawl). -I play the trombone (in the first band now). -I'm going to 10th grade now. -My GPA is 4.744 (rank 44, well, unfortunately, a C and a few B's will unluckily drop my rank :(). -I'm Catholic. -I have moved several times, so I don't really know people that I went with in 1st grade (I moved SCHOOLS, and found somebody who I've seen since in 3rd grade and up). -My favorite Toa is Lewa, and Matoro. -My favorite Piraka is Zaktann. -I have interests in astronomy, flight-related subjects, and chess. -I like to win (I'm one of those, "I hate to lose" guys ;D). -My favorite drink is Sprite. -I like cats (I have a cat). -I like to be clean. -I like this gi..... well.... that's too personal, I don't want to talk about it.... too shy. Im korchi12 and will not release my name as of now. I live in the US in Maine. My first lego set was one of the old space sets which came with two aliens. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: I started school at kindergarten and did not go to preschool. I made my first and very best friend in 1st grade. His name was cody. We traded yu-gi-oh cards throughout elementary school and hanged out with each other. I lived a normal life up until the death of my best friend in fifth grade... He died of heart problems. He had, had problems with his heart since he was young and one day his heart burst. It was a tragic time for many and very tragic for me. He had previously given me some of his cards from his deck to put in mine. I have not sold or gotten rid of those cards from this day, and plan not to. From that day on I learned life wasn't always a great thing and matured fast from that day on. Selling most my cards except the ones given to me by my friend. MIDDLE SCHOOL: When I first started middle school is when I became involved with lego.com. I made a account with my friend and started to make my page. It was nothing much but I liked it. My goal on lego.com at the time was to get on the top tens. I tried as hard as I could but with no luck. I rarely ever used the Message Boards and only got to the JuniorBuilder rank before giving up on them in 7th grade. I started MLN after it launched and began trying to rank up. As soon as I started I tried to add higher ranking friends to my list, but got rejected every time. I then made it a goal to get so high in rank that people would ask to be my friend and I would accept them no matter what their rank was. I progressed in rank until rank 5 where I got stuck. Feeling hopeless i almost gave up until I found kamimuras page. Around this time I found MLNTips through Kamimuras page. I found new friends their. I ranked up fast and soon came to rank nine by the time I was ending grade 8 of my middle school year. I found this site from a topic on MLNTips and started using it. I also found tatoranakis site UTTA and enjoyed administrating and chatting there in some of my spare time. I found it cool I could talk to some of the top ten people on MLN here like CRX and others on MLNO. Soon after I found that MLNTips was closed. I was a confused for a bit on why it closed down but then helped in the creation of a new one. MLNTeam. I helped create it and became one of the first admins there with Mwarvik and lindavz. FRESHMAN YEAR: During my freshman year I became less active on various forums because of grades and working. I helped administrate MLNTeam and such but rarely had time to go on forums. I made a deviantart profile during this time to upload my art in some of my spare time. When I finished my freshman year I had more time to go on. Now Im on summer break. That is my story up until now. Any comments are appreciated on my profile not in this topic. Thank you. Since it is not appropriate I will not disclose personal information. With that said, I'm going to have to skip the whole "timeline" section and go straight for the prize. On to information.
I have been a LEGO fan as long as I could say "minifig". I don't own many sets, but I make do with the materials I have. I also am a computer geek, a sports fan, and a fashionista. I must say, I am not a fashion EXPERT. I like to make fun of bad catchphrases ("Is is her or Maybelline?" It's OBVIOUSLY her :P.) and collect baseball cards. I am a kicksologist (shoe expert) and can even tell the difference between a Spiz'Ike and an Air Jordan III (The Spiz'Ike has more rhino print.). My favorite sports teams are the Minnesota Vikings (American football), Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (baseball), Atlanta Hawks (basketball), and UCLA (colllege sports). I am always a fan of the message boards, on every site that I go to. I hope to have a long-lasting relationship with this site, similar tp the one I had with LEGO.com. Read on, go strong! |
