I'm working on a vector portrait of Mike Barnes from the band RED, and I'm wondering where to go with it. Right now I have two choices, which do you guys think is better, or should I go somewhere in between, or what? I did the face and arms and let Illustrator trace the clothes since they didn't matter as much. skin tone flesh, keep, but add more shadow and highlights Beard, another solid color other than brown, brown is boring, then add some light tones, hair is never one color, never Flames, fire is all colors, change the flame colors back and forth between hot and cold, black to white, yellow to orange, red to pink and so on, the right mix will look more real and doctered aswell Add some buttons and a little flare to the outfit, maybe a patch or 2, and 2 shades of grey work best, bottom one, top the other Background should say FAME, which means people taking flash photography, FLASHES in the background.
