Title: Cendox Variant Post by: The Host on August 17, 2009, 08:14:16 am I didn't know what to call this, since I'm not great at coming up with names, but since I based this MOC off of the new Bionicle set Cendox V1 I decided to call it the Cendox Variant(featuring Tanma!).
Cendox Variant (http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Axalara-T9/MOCs/Vehicle007/vehicle1.jpg) I used pieces from the 2001 Bionicle sets: -Muaka and Kane-ra -Taracava and the 2008 set: -Tanma(the green guy riding it). As I said, the set is based off of the Cendxo V1, and for those of you that would like to compare the two, here's a pic of Cendox:Clicky (http://bionicle.lego.com/en-us/Products/Vehicles/Default.aspx) Moar Pictahs: 2 (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4052423) 3 (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4052424) 4 (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4052427) Comparison (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4052431)(this pic features Skopio XV-1 as a size comparison.) C&C appreciated. Title: Re: Cendox Variant Post by: MsRowdyRedhead on August 17, 2009, 02:53:39 pm Totally awesome, ZLS!
Title: Re: Cendox Variant Post by: LordVaderRulez on August 17, 2009, 05:34:51 pm Very good job! :D
Title: Re: Cendox Variant Post by: The Host on August 17, 2009, 06:03:08 pm thanks to both of you. I'm still working on fixing a few things to make it more asthetically(sp?) pleasing, such as the front wheel area, which has rods sticking out of the front. And the turning on it is a little weak, and as such comes apart often. But with a simple reno on it I'm sure it'l be fine.
I'll post update pics if I fix it. Title: Re: Cendox Variant Post by: Solo Rogue on August 17, 2009, 06:13:00 pm Looks pretty good Harpuia =) Looks a tiny bit small, but that may be me not knowing Cendox's actual size. =P
Title: Re: Cendox Variant Post by: The Host on August 17, 2009, 06:22:49 pm I'm pretty sure it is smaller, but I plan on getting Cendox(the actual set), so I can give a comparison in real life then.
Also, the tracks are definately smaller(in length and width I think), but they're rubber, so they work better. The steering on this is also very similar to the real Cendox. Title: Re: Cendox Variant Post by: Solo Rogue on August 17, 2009, 06:26:24 pm That's pretty cool. And it fits the normal variant of Agori/Avtoran?
Title: Re: Cendox Variant Post by: The Host on August 17, 2009, 06:34:33 pm It fits Tanma and anyone designed with the long legs and short arms. I dunno about other variants(like Crotesius/Metus, Raanu, Solek) because I have only Tanma to try out.
And the good thing with this compared to the actual Cendox V1 is that Mata Feet fit, instead of needing to use Bohrok feet, which, IMO, look odd on most sets. Title: Re: Cendox Variant Post by: Midnght on August 21, 2009, 01:20:33 pm Very cool.
Though why not aim the yellow items on each side backwards so they're like front end tail pipes. And the two yellow pieces in front of the wheel aim them up so they look like a front wheel covering. If it was long enough it'd be cool to modify the front wheel to utilize the Krika head as a front wheel guard. Like they did on the front wheels of The Thornatus V9 But no matter what it's an awesome vehicle. Now mass produce and send me one. };>) Title: Re: Cendox Variant Post by: The Host on August 21, 2009, 02:10:06 pm 1. Thanks.
2. It's done, I did it after posting pics, because I agree with what you say, and it looks cooler. 3. I've changed those too, but I'll have to see if I can make them cover the wheels nicely(possibly with tubing) 4. That would be cool to do, but the only Krika head I have is white and red(from the set) and I can't paint it, so it would look odd. And if I had Thornatus, adding one of those would put silver on, which would also look odd, even if Silver is neutral(because there is no other silver on it). 5. Again, thanks. I don't have pieces to do that. It's one of a kind :P Title: Re: Cendox Variant Post by: Midnght on August 21, 2009, 02:38:09 pm 1. Thanks. 2. Traxiox V0 };>) Title: Re: Cendox Variant Post by: The Host on August 22, 2009, 10:38:13 am I've added a few things to it, and IMO it looks better(and tubing is one the the things I've added). I'll post pics of the updated version soon. And Traxiox has some appeal to it. :)
