Lego is hosting a "Build your own Glatorian" contest!

Simply use any pieces from your Bionicle collection, build your Glatorian, take a color photo of it, and mail the picture along with your name, age, mailing address and daytime phone number to lego! In your next issue of Lego Mag, it should mention the mailing address.

5 Grand Prize winners will win a Bionicle Camera from Digital Blue, a $100 dollar gift card, and a BIonicle comic signed by Greg Farshety.

15 1st place winners will receive the same, minus the gift card.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go start working on a new Glatorian ^_^

*Raises eyebrows* Hmm. Intriguing, I was just thinking yesterday about how good a Glatorian contest would be. =O *Wonders if this is for Canada as well* When's the deadline?

I believe it was November 1st, but they may have extended it...

I wish I could enter it... I doubt it will be available in the UK... and $100, that's quite a bit for a LEGO Competition!

But I was thinking the same thing. I won't be uploading pics of my Glatorian until after the contest.

Do the two countries usually share results? And either way, do they show the full names of the winners usually? I forget, as it's been a while since I paid attention to a LEGO contest(Not since I tried to win the Exo-Force contest a few years back)... If it's first names only, then I wouldn't mind.

They show your full name, but you could put Kaze Hikari ;). They don't usually share results (UK and USA, if that's what you mean), but BZP do, with scans etc.

Well, I think they show your full name... or that might be just in Cool Creations.
They probably do share results, as they are neighboring countries.

Are Glatorian helmets required?

IDK. I'd assume they are.

That'd be a problem, but if you could make your own, or use another, then that'd be good, as all I have is Gresh in terms of helms.

Well, it says build it out of any pieces from your lego collection, but like I said, I assume they want a helmet.

Well, how am I supposed to make something that's a different colour scheme from Gresh? =/ I can't use his helmet...(... Not like I wasn't going to anyway, but... =P)

I have a collection of everything BUT Glatorian... well, this calls for creativity. *Gets to work*

I can't do that though. That's the thing, I'm not sure if Gresh will be my only set this year, and I don't see how they'd have stuff like that happen... There's always the option of me asking Greg of course.

Please ask him about the helmets...Because I have a pretty good substitute on my own model, and I'd love to see it win!

Well, a couple others on BZP are entering without helmets I think, so... Plus, there's the fact that Cervatus only required no Kanohi, IIRC.

Well, here's a tip:  Whenua's mask (Toa Metru version) makes an excellent helmet when used on a Glatotian head.  (It's what I'm using since I only own Mata Nui.)  I'll try and have pitures soon.

Do you think you could do what I did with one of my Glatorian, which was to make an 'eyepatch' for it?
