Btw, I warn all of the people going to play this, to have GOOD eye-hand cordinations, and good with arrow keys and in time limits, very hard if not. Almost done. :D

I decided I didnt want to finish this quest, maybe some other time. Mln is too boring for me right now... *Yawns*

AGH!! I hate games with arrow keys. My laptop doesn't like them either. But, I found out the AWSD keys work as well.

I really wish the game used the mouse... not the arrow keys. Arrow keys make it sloppy and hard. Mouse makes it much asier to maneuver.

I won't do this quest, I don't do quests that involve games, because MLN should not be intwerwined with them.

The game has REALLY bad controls, I lost my race. How are you supposed to get the badges and items?

By doing all the missions. I got the first mission done for everything, but don't feel like doing the rest now. Too hard on my laptop.

Exactly, MLN  should keep to itself and not intertwine with other aspects of lego, the newer Mini quests I think are rather pointless...

Wait, got the first mission for agents completed, can't do the rest though...

WASD keys are a little easier to use than the arrow keys. Try them instead.

As I recall you CAN use the mouse.

MLN is a game, and I believe LEGO is trying to offer an integrated world.. like the one we live in. Everything affects everything in some way in the real world...

Given that MLN is the replacement for club pages, and you can have a unique page without playing the MLN game, I think it's cool that other games have ties with it.

I have never seen a game with controls this bad. plus, the receive reward button doesn't always work.
*sigh* I'm beginning to think it's impossible to clear "Fall Of The Robot".

BTW, how do you recieve rewards? Apart from the networkers, I see no connection whatsoever with MLN.

(I love the police van, so fast and useful, except when the street racrs appear which is every five seconds.)

ARGH! I beat the robot, but it glitched and didn't send my prize! I spent three hours on that level!

well, I may be exaggerating a bit.  ;) it felt like three hours. it was probably more like two. and it wasn't straight. It was on and off throughout the day.

The code 'micro' helps tremendously as it downsizes the vehicles to more in-proportion with the roads...

BTW, HC, I'm guessing you have completed it 100%?

When do you get rewards?

No, actually only 32%. you get rewards after every level.

'every level?' What do you mean, or do you mean every quest? Like the yellow circle missions...

I like the free roaming, it's a new concept for LEGO, a game with freedom but hard missions...

A good way to rack up studs is to use the Police van or fire truck to catch illegal street racers or spray fires to get studs.

After every quest, a button on the side (where it usually telly you  about the controls) says "Collect your MLN reward!".  click it and you get the reward. Oh, and I figured out how to retry the robot mission.

I'm also guessing this is the longest Game LEGO has.

I'm not really that progressed into it, I can't win the races.

Are there any other areas beside downtown, cnetral and dockside? Because other wise the area is kinda small...

I've done all the towing missions and stuck on the second mission of infestation, and can't do the first race.

Any tips for the second mission and the race?

The game is WAY harder then it needs to be.  Seriously, it is the longest game an lego.com and it is really glitchy.

Glitchy, no, unless you count getting stuck in places as being glitchy. Longest? I wouldn't doubt it. I'll be attempting to get further than I already am(And complete some side missions as coming last after getting second place in the first race is utter fail.) later, and definitely next week.

/EDIT: Aaaaaaaaah, I get it now, they're being sneaky... I think there's actually three versions of this game. A Racers version, a City version, and an Agents version.

The three 'versions' are all the same. WHy elese would they have the same save profiles for wach one? My appears in each one, it;s just the menu that's different.

This also shows that Agents, City and RAcers exist within the same universe... nice to know that Agents amd Racers are in reality subthemes of city.

And yeah, it's pretty cool, but with the release of that last Agents set, it was kinda confirmed that at least City and Agents were in the same dimension.

*SIGH* I've been playing this game all night/morning, and keep getting stuck on the third level. Its not fun.

Around 80% done, with the final Agent missions done, and racers... hmmm..... not a bad game IMO.

Concerning the game being intertwined with other Lego games, I think it is a good idea.  It helps you to explore the website, and find out some things on the site that you might not have known was there.  Also, if Lego Universe and My Lego Network are somehow tied, I doubt many people would gripe about it...

I finally won my first race =D Got two clippings as well, plus some stickers. =) Space bar gives you extra speed as long as you hold it, but you can't move.

I have came second in the first race, and now I have access to all of the ciity, done the first battle for the skies mission and I tihnk I am where HC was... racing the giant robot. How long is that race, anyway? And it;s not just me, or do the racers seem... alive?

AGH!!!! I won so many levels and only got prizes for the Racing ones. Where'd me Agent Dossiers and Hardhats disappear to? :o

I think it's only City, Agents, and Racers... Like the Towing(Which works, as I've got another Hardhat I think.), Racing, and the battle against the jeeps.

I only have four vehicles left to unlock! But I'm not getting any racing trophies, even though I keep coming in first. :(

You have to wait and not switch vehicles for a little while before the reward thing comes up to get them. After Seymour says about you back in free-roam or such, you can pause and wait for the popup to appear though.

How do you pause?

BTW I lost my data, but look! A glitch! I got more Dossiers, Hardhats and Racing 'Trophies' this way.

I know. I waited for a few minutes, but it never came.

I figured that you can't, there is no button to pause unfortunately.

BTW, how long is the race against Dr. Inferno's robot with the racer?
(Dr. Inferno... is a networker too, you know.)

You can pause by clicking the button that looks like this: || . It's in between the "mute" and "Exit" buttons.

What HC said. And it only appears if you don't get a sub-quest between the towing getting completed and Seymour appearing. And you can get as many of those as you want as long as it gives it out, there's no limit. I figure you can get multiple badges that way too...

No, the buttons are on the game, not your computer. look in the lower right corner of the game screen.  ;)

The hardest mission is Fall Of The Robot. Wrecking the streets is pretty fun, since you get lots of studs for doing so. I wonder what title you'll get for 1,000,000 studs? (I'm 200K away)

Just started tonight and am at 25%. I love this game! The racing missions are a lot like the Freeway Frenzy missions in Lego Island Xtreme Stunts for GBA...

OH NO! I got the Keys badge, but now Mayor Frictionfit won't befriend me becuase I need the Headline Hero Badge to befriend him, and I used the badge to make the Keys badge! :'( :'( :'(

I left the game on for an hour controlling a helicopter, with my phone weighing down a button so it thinks I'm doing stuff, but I still haven't unlocked the police helicopter - to unlock it, you have to fly for an hour, right? ... Right?

I'm on 86%, all I have to do is unlock the vehicles, which for me unfortunately means killing/fixing a certain hundred things...

I've noticed that whenever you beat a new quest/unlock a vehicle, you get 4%.

Oh, is it just me or does playing a race cause Dr. Inferno to bring back another giant robot, even if you've already defeated it?

I dunno, I haven't completed it yet.

(I have towing the line done, all missions, Fire Truck, Ambulance, Police Van, Front-end Loader, all four of the vehicles.)


I'm trying to get the recycling truck and police helicopter at the moment, though.

And Fixing Roads, I;m at 1164 Roads Fixed.

That robot, when it's not setting buildings on fire, stomping on you or shooting you, can cause some big cracks to clean up.


How good is the robot, anyway?

BTW, I want to win the races for the Slime Chopper and High Speed Jeep.

Then I can shoot Agents. 50 Times.

It was a lot easier in races when Inferno's robot wasn't standing right in front of every racer, blocking the path, blocking his own race. (Speed Inferno, But I won that eventually and now have the high-Speed Jeep.)

I already beat the "Fall of Dr. Inferno"...

And what's stupid is that when you go into a yellow circle after completing a mission, it cancels the item... >_>

You're lucky B~T. every time I get to northwood he overtakes me due to the weird structure of the race and I have like the entire outside area to get past.

Yup. Teared my hair off in the process since the car itself is extremely fast.

All I can say is that its long.

Here's a tip: Just tap the "up" buttons, that way you can have a more manageable speed. Hold the left/right buttons until you turn in the direction desired.

Ugh, how do I defeat Inferno? I destroy the Slime Copters but can never destroy the robot!

You have to do a certain mission to defeat him, and it doesn't involve flying vehicles.

Which one? Can you give me a hint please?

Its at a very short dead end at an intersection between two roads, somewhere in the city.  ;)

You don't have to do the second racers one.

You have to do the helicopter dragging crane pieces one.

8 more hardhats for me. You do the quest mentioned above to get hardhats, right?

You do the towing mission from the start to get hardhats, IIRC.

I think the land towing mission is the best to get hardhats in... in te Crane Quest missions you have a slime chopper bumping and shooting at you ALL THE TIME.

I haven't got the chopper...,but I have the jeep. I;m working towards shooting 50 agents to get the Inferno Cycle.

I'll do the Agent Missions firts for Dossiers, then I'll do the towing missions for hardhats and then the races last because they bring the robot back.

6 More racing trophies
8 moe Dossiers
8 or 7 more hardhats.

I seriosuly wish the reqiurements we're so high because of the tough races...

In case anyone's wondering, the patrol helicopter has a handling of 1 and a speed of 3 plus a tow cable which is completely useless since it isn;t in the crane quest.

Does anyone have any tips for avoiding the slime chopper in the second mission of Crane Quest?

It seems to be changing my goals at random.. it used to be shoot 50 agents for the inferno bike, now it;s shoot 100 agents for the Slime CHopper and win the outriders race for the inferno bike.

Why do they taunt me? And doing the outriders brought back the robot... and the fall of the robot mission is not there, so... a very bad situation. As when the robot's around, there are no agents to shoot.

I do the 2nd agents mission and then the crane mission. I beat 'em, then click "Get your MLN award" but it doesn't give me anything. I've got the game 68% complete, so do I have to make it 100% before I can get the Keys to the City?

You don't need to get 100% to complete the quest, or get the key.

FYI, despite the fact that the Magma Drone Modules look like they can take one space, in reality, they take up two, so be wary of that.

I'd like to get them quick, not really too wanting to complete the game.

I get Agent Dossiers from the "Track the Inferno Jeeps" missions, Hard Hats from the Towing missions, and Racing Trophies from the Speed Inferno mission.

Use "Micro" to help win races more easily.

I know about the Micro Code. A VERY Helpful code.

It seems that the best missions are the first three missions.

BTW, if you do a towing mission, don;t go for a police van, ambulance or fire truck ebcause of the 'fire/illegal/patient' things that somethimes show up. \The Front End Digger is the only one that would give you a reward on the towing mission, and the  towing mission is also conveniently the easiest mission.

Which is why I click the area where the reward box is multiple times until the box shows up.

Ambulance and Police can be avoided by pausing once it flips back to Seymour in the message box. Fires can't, because a fire miraculously pops up right when you complete the mission.

Geez I am so angry right now!  Right now, I have 89& of the game complete, and I only need to unlock 3 more vehicles.

I have tried everything to get 100% and NOTHING!  I have done EVERY level at least 2 times and I have nothing from the LEGO City guy and barely anything from the LEGO racers and agent guys.

HELP!  Is there something i'm missing?  

Go to a LEGO building and it'll tell you what's required to unlock what ;)

I haven't been getting much either, so it's not just you.

I think LEGO is trying to annoy me to death. Every time I try to do the towing thing, that stupid monster thing keeps kicking me and the ambulance apart and it takes me 20 minutes to complete it. And I only get hard hats ever-so often. All I get most of the time for my annoying 20 min. is just 3 of those clipping things and it is useless for a already have over 30!  

The only thing that is easy is the first racing level and the first agents level. And I got the badge blueprints for the racers and the agents but the city is close to impossible.  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

For the new arcade module. ;) Wait...

The land Agents mission also gets easier once you don;t have the robot running about and the entire city. Then, it's less liklely you'll get shot at, but it will be harder to find but I don;t know...

I just confused myself.

Or, here's a LONG alternative: Start a new game, complete athe first of each mission,  stat a new game, dot that, etc.

I assume it's a glitch... =/ I'll be trying to get further today, but the robot can help you if you're in a race. Also, a tip, use the secondlast car in the race list, and when turning, let go of the up arrow, and use space on straightaways. I almost easily crushed the competition until I didn't do good on the s turn. Then I only just barely won.

/EDIT: ... Wait, it's a destructoid...? Hmm... I'm starting to see a pattern here...

The cars in my game started acting drunk.  Like seriously, listing in different directions, going slower, driving around in circles... but hey that made the races easier lol.

xD Nice about the cars. They have serious problems with that second turn on my game.

Two things. One, I think the next mini-rank will have either Hop or Delivery as the reward, and that Haul will come out before the next Mini-rank.

Two, I think that the version of game you're playing may influence what reward you get...

Must make the races some of the easiest missions there is.

Thing is your car also acts drunk so you have to control it and it takes a little longer, but still the other racers probably don't get even half-way there before you finish.

It's one car in the Outsiders, and its White and Blue and Gray. I forgot the name, something like "Thunder Racer" or something...

It's hard for me because of its poor handling...

..And the fact that the grassy areas really slow down the poor handling cars.

A disease in which the module cannot complete its moduleization. They generaly look unfinished and only current module with it is the Magma Drone Module.

Now I have nothing to do other than the MLN MiniQuest...

So, what's the robot like? Do you get Agents shooting at you left and right? What happens if the robot's still out there? Giant robot fight?

I never met any agents...

If the Robot's still out there, then nothing really happens...

You just bash into the robot for high studs.

And his "SPACE" function is his flamethrower...

Well, what internet browser do you use?  If you use Google chrome, then don't use it.  The games on Lego.com are very slow on that.  If you use Internet explorer8, then you may find it easier to move the vehicle. It worked for me.  ;)

It actually is a little faster, but Firefox 3.5(Not .3) is faster than most all browsers. It'd probably be even faster if you ran another OS, but most people can't do that and use Windows for misc stuff...

It is hard, at least for me. And the star does not throw you off, it helps... a lot. That 15 extra really helps.

I;m giving up on this quest. it;s too redudant and the games now repetitive and boring. And all they give me is clippings when I need 5 more racing trophies, 6 more hardhats and 7 more dossiers.

And I;ve done a lot of missions, and that's all i;ve got. just clippings? I tihnk it's random, getting valuable items seems to be rare but getting the clippings seems to be often.

... But it seems to be like the Rank five materials, you just have to keep going at it.

If you didn't know, they only give you mln items for the first 3 levels, and also, you need to beat the levels fast or for the racing one, by a lot to get trophies and such...

Incorrect. How do you think people got more than three racing trophies? Or other needed stuff?

Clippings come with every mission successful, and I;m well past my third towing the line mission. And I even had some 'MLN items called racing trophies, agents dossiers and hard hats.

Well, I've only gotten MLN items from the first 3 levels, no matter how badly I beat the other levels. That's not my fault.  ???

Use different cars for racing, (besides the first two), use the last agent vehicle, and tow anything except fire trucks.

Something I just discovered: You can have ALL the badges at the same time! Just keep playing missions! for example, I have both the Agents Rookie Badge, the City Rookie Badge,  AND the Keys badge!

That means you can make yet enother key badge... XD

Well I figured that would be the case but I have no interest in continuing the game. =/

My guess is that if you built a duplicate badge, it would just not appear because that's what happens with all the other badges.

If you made another Key Badge, the same things would happen as the first time you made it (except the last message might be different, if you did it before they fixed the message); it would not show the Badge Twice.

However there is no legit method of acquiring more than 1 extra Racing Trophy; So you can't make a Second Racers Badge.

Just got the racing rookie and city rookie Blueprints.

Now I need 2 or 3 more dossiers for the Agent's rookie badge, and then 5 more of each...

So, if there's no way of getting more than one extra trophy, how do people get the badge in the first place? All you need is to get one trophy and to keep at it technically. ;)

Since the trophy module shows off how many Racing Trophies you have, I think it's a glitch that you can't win any extra trophies.

Plus you need 5 to get the blueprint, 5 to make it, and I think there's a sticker that requires them...

I said 1 Extra Racing Trophy so 11 total :P You can get 10 from the game, and 1 for replying to Pedalman's message when you get the Racer Beta Badge.
(Although, there is a trick to getting multiple Goodies from Easy Reply Networker Messages it just won't work for this yet)
(There is also a method to get them from him by completely cheating)

Although... now that I think about it you could just have multiple windows opened to Pedalman's Message and easy repy in each of them.

You can get more than ten total from the game... It might be only at one time, but I'm pretty sure I've heard that people have gotten more after getting the badge the first time.

Formean Front decided to have a change of heart and gave me a hard hat after every Twoing the Line Mission I did except for fire trucks.

AKA I now have the City Rookie Badge. Now I need 4 more Racing trophies and 8 more Agents Dossiers...

Hate Dossiers.

Trophies are still hard due to the races, but races are much easier on a slower computer.  That is why I have six racing trophies currently.

As for agents, inferno's jeeps keep on rapid-firing at me. Every single time... Dossiers are the jardest to get IMO.

Oh right, ten more, though I think you should do it one at a time to get them.

And Racing Trophies seem to be easier with the Giant Robot... Just use the second-to-last car and you'll blow the competition away. Don't have up held when you turn, just use the arrow keys. If you use space, you'll get a speed burst, but you can't turn, which could be useful at times, but...

What if the second to last car is not unlocked yet? And as I've been told, you only get racing trophies if you play as the first racer of Speed Inferno.

Well that's wrong, because I got my first Trophy as the second-to-last car. And it should be if you've finished so many races already...

Vehicles only get unlocked if you use the racer above them with the exception of the first and second since they're unlocked already.

That explains why I only got the last racer after I won that race...

Well I got 20 hardhats, 15 dossiers, and 11 trophies so far... :P

So 5 dossiers and 9 trophies to go until I have every badge.

I can't get anymore racing trophies!  Anyone know why?  I've done the first racing mission at least 20 times today and all I got was those stupid clippings which I have over 80 of.  ???

To get them by cheating you need to send Pedalman, one of the responses using a direct  url.

Yes, but I have looked on several other pages, and the people that have the key badge, and they have the LEGO agents and city badge but not the racing badge.  >:(

Maybe that's because they haven't obtained the second Racers badge yet? It's random.

I think Zonexus is right. I raced and won with each car and only got clippings. And Peelie's page's sticker requires clippings, unlike Frank and Chase's stickers that need hardhats and dossiers.

Maybe it is because the maximun trophies you can get from the game is 10?  Cuz that's all you need for the key badge.

Because you've been using the red car all the time. :P I used all the cars to get my 10 trophies. If one cars getting only clippings, try another.

The cars with low handling but high spped are the most annoying to use... since you have little to no control over their turning. That's why i don't use them.

That's easy to get around. When turning, let go of the up arrow, and hold the left/right arrow depending on which way you're turning. You'll slow down enough to turn, but you can easily get back in. What's bad for me is that turn where there's an empty space... 9 out of ten times I get stuck in it and slows me down. ><

The black one isn't hard at all to use.

Anyways, I was on my bro's account playing for him. I won with the red car and got clippings. I tried the black 2 times and won 2 trophies. Then I tried the red again and I won a trophy. I think that once you get a trophy, it starts a chain reaction of no clippings.

Well I tried out RC and have been playing it for a bit getting the Badges. It's OK but not very direct on what to do...

Well, so far, this game is like, impossible. And confusing. My goodness. They explain nothing. And LRC doesnt load. Phooey

Left/right arrows to turn, up arrow to go forward, back arrow to slowly go backwards. On certain vehicles, space does different things, like turbo on the racing cars.

*Eyetwitch* ... I seem to have just lost my progress somehow...

If your Save seems to just vanish, you need to search for a file on your computer named LEGOROTR.sxx , and rename it LEGOROTR.sol .

I got bored so I just finished the game a few minutes ago. :P The giant robot is ok.

I finished everything in that game. I hate how when you hit space for the robots flamethrower, it boosts.... Lame, that makes it impossible to drive. And now I only need 1 more sticker to get to the 7th page(in my inventory), I have a module on the 3rd page, way too many items, and as many badges as possible for me. Curse that beta badge and other beta stuff. Oh, and idk if you noticed, but now theres over 100 networkers. New ppl must get so confused

So, I beat the Robot. And I made the skin. Interestingly enough, I got a mail that's from Agent Chase, but has stuff that makes it seem like Dr. Inferno sent it...

I've got the Keys built and have every Networker in this campaign befriended. Now I just need those Magma Drones built and the Trophies to be given out again. ... And to 100% the game, which is only two vehicles off.

i have the key and the agents badge. need more hard hats. and i also only have 9 magma drones.

For hardhats, just make new profiles, start the race, then exit, go back in, go to "towing the line", and keep exiting and going back in until its the loader or w/e its called. Then once you get it and win the hardhat, delete that profile and do it all over again. Again, and again. 13 times in fact, it was super fun. Not. But the agents one was 15 times so...

I found an easier way to get hardhats, but it might be considered 'cheating' to some. Plus there's also a flood control on it.

can you do that with trophies too?

It wouldn't give you any more new ones unless they fixed it.

I don't think they want you getting anymore trophies, 'cause you're supposed to only have the key badge anyway. :P
