The first, which is less important then the second is to inform you all that I have unlocked my Bi-monthly poem and short story contests. Lack of interest and my lack of free time made me lock them in the first place. The second reason for this topic is to plead with you all to vote for Ab-Z in The Featured Member of the Month for November. I'm nominating and voting for Ab-Z based on an overall view of his entire history here.I don't think people should be penalized or forgotten because they are unable to post frequently due to a busy life. That's strange, perhaps you should define active and recently, since he's posted several times this month already. He's not a part of the staff. And I wasn't talking about the active part in terms of Ab-Z, I meant in general, because you mentioned it in your post. And I'm pretty sure the definition is if you're not active in a month or so.

Although I still question the definition of Active, I'll give you an example, let's say someone gets nominated for December because they more then Qualify, the votes all come from those who remember how active that someone was during October and half of November. We already have a place to lobby for your favorite candidate.. 2 in fact.. nominations and polls! Think what a mess it would be if everyone made a topic every month for their favorite.. and what extra work for the mods. Or how someone would feel if no one made a topic for them. But, I don't know if the idea of a topic just to try and advertise voting for someone is a good idea, as it could clutter up the forum if others decide to follow the same thing for future contests. Plus MsRR's reasons are valid as well. So, I say TopiClosed, and if you want to advertise the first reason for this topic, then feel free to make another topic, but trying to get votes should stay in polls instead of having another topic made.
