Title: Set #8650-1 Furious Slammer Racer Post by: LordVaderRulez on December 27, 2009, 08:25:59 pm (http://www.miraiya.com/image07/8650-1.jpg)
Today I'll be reviewing the Furious Slammer Racer set. Review I got this set for Christmas as a little gift since we had lying around in the attic. The set is an overall fun build. Once you open the box and bags you should have several piles of large none brick legos and then another group of smaller lego accesories. You then have the choice to either follow the instructions to build a race car or the cab of a big rig truck. I myself chose the race car, but may build the latter at a later date. The instructions are pretty to easy to understand and it should take 10-20 minutes to build the car, depending on age and skill level. After building the actual car you woll then have to build a small "slammer" as they call it. This fairly easy to do, though I faced some troubles as the instructions were a bit flawed at that point. After construction you will have the car and a slammer to use. This is where the real fun begins. Once the set is done building you can take the car a put it's back to the front of the slammer. (I would suggest you use a smooth surface for this, but it should still work on carpet.) Once the back is to the slammer give a good smack (Don't worry, the material is sturdy and should remain fine) and watch as the car zooms across the room. Thanks for reading and enjoy. :) Title: Re: Set #8650-1 Furious Slammer Racer Post by: LordVaderRulez on December 27, 2009, 08:52:58 pm I enjoy the old sets a lot too. (On the box they were advertising the drone racer sets. Good times, good times.)
And yes they do glow in the dark. Title: Re: Set #8650-1 Furious Slammer Racer Post by: Legodac on December 27, 2009, 10:50:47 pm Another awesome review, you're very lucky, takes one to know one. Old sets are cool, but what's best of all, is that whenever you desire, you can can reach out and grab that box of Lego, and Build it.
