Title: The Bludgeon Retriever
Post by: Legodac on December 27, 2009, 11:38:25 pm
It is the year 2047, the 3rd world war came and went, and I, as we, are all that's left.

I was born 1962, when war was gripping the globe once more in Viet Nam.

Years later we came to realize a need, the need to survive.

But not only survive, we needed to preserve that which was.
As life went forward, or backwards, depending on your view, the years came and the war of 3 was now at hand.

The war raged on and, what was left, could be described, our souls of theft..

Back to 2047, where I am far beyond 11
I am the leader, of a tribe of sorts, our primary goal is not to kill, for we have lost so much and so many allready.

As I grew older and saw the wars, I came to realise and ask what it was all for.

So my clan and I seek those in distress, with a vehicle so pronounced, you will be impressed.

WWIII has come and gone, doesn't make sence to throw another bomb.

We'll find what we will, when we search the wasteland
Could be we'll find, the answer at hand

As we search through the desert for brothers unfound
An answer we'll find, that will be profound...The END

I get a little carried away in my diary now and then, sorry...
The Bludgeon Retreiver is my design, for it is designed to retrieve that which means most...life

She has no weapons, only the Blud device and the sonar cannon.

Blud of the future must nay be destroyed, for when an open arm of friendship is stretched, you never know what ye may find.

I'm going on again, sorry, can't help it, I'm over 80, the world is almost destroyed and it's people within,

I must save them....

Awesome.

I love a red take on the apocalyptic theme!

That's... outstanding! I really like how you turn the dial to make the cannon fire, that's really quite clever.
TBD

Actually Tom, that's not how it works, my MoC is actually named for its ability to fire the Bludgeon missile and then retrieve it using a spool of thread. All I did was drill a tiny hole at the end of the missile, feed the thread in and tie a knot. The other end I fed through the firing mechanism and then wrapped around the spool. When the button on top is pressed, the missile fires about 6 feet and then you simply wind it back in again. I thought this was a cool idea because my grandson is always loosing the missiles.
I also thought it fit well when it comes to a post apocelyptic theme, where resources are hard to find.

When the Bludgeon Retreiver is salvaging the waste land and comes across a hostile force, the missile can be fired to knock the baddies off their wheels, even roll a vehicle in some cases. This method makes sence in the wasteland, because what you conquer you get to keep. And we didn't just blow up our prize, we simply dented it.
