Title: The Ocarina of Time
Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on January 09, 2010, 12:23:48 pm
You've found the Ocarina of Time!

This is the Ocarina of Time, from the Legend of Zelda game of the same name. It's got the colour scheme of the Ocarina of Time, however, I only noticed the silver tripe afterward, so it's missing that.

This is the top of the Ocarina. Note that the holes are the same as in the Game. I had to extend the width by a stud to get it correct. (http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/NeoBlademanSC/General-MOCs/Ocarina-Of-Time/ocarina_top.png)

This is the bottom of the Ocarina... Not much to see here, it's just the obligatory angle. (http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/NeoBlademanSC/General-MOCs/Ocarina-Of-Time/ocarina_bottom.png)

And this is the front. Notice the hole for the mouth. The inside's all hollow as a result, however, I can't seem to actually just blow into it to have the tune play, I have to tune it before I blow. =P (http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/NeoBlademanSC/General-MOCs/Ocarina-Of-Time/ocarina_front.png)

So, that's the Ocarina of Time. What do you guys think? This is part 2 of the three part series... However, the next isn't LoZ related. Stay tuned. ;)

Well, it's got some used up space so the pieces can connect, but other than that, yes, it's hollow. Even if it's a one-brick space, as you can see on the front view. ;) And yeah, had OoT on most of the time I was building it. =)

Different. =P it sounds like your whistle though louder, since it's amplified.

And here's a pic of the Ocarina itself. (http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/zelda/images/9/94/Ocarina_of_Time.png)

/EDIT: You were a minute faster, Oil. =P

Me too. =P I've tried playing it, but either im doin it wrong, or it can't play the way it does in OoT. And if it's the latter, it's likely due to the bricks and such giving a different inside shape than a normal Ocarina would.

I've done that a couple of times when going through the game on my 100% completion. In fact, I did it when you play it to Darunia. =P

The Ocarina looks blocky, but I feel that's necessary for the placement of the holes. And the placement of the holes is great.

Overall great job. =)

Yeah, it is blocky, but you summed it summed as to why. Plus, there's no curved pieces that could function like that. ;)

Blocky is ok, that's why we exist here, though I'd rather call Upona.

A good model, and your pics where spoton aswell
