Title: Gresh Stars Modification
Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on January 09, 2010, 01:12:22 pm
This is the final part. Bet you weren't expecting this after the last two LoZ MOCs. ;)

Anyway, this started a little while ago, as I wondered if I could modify Vican's torso to be more like Gresh Star that looks like the original Gresh. Didn't exactly work the way I had originally wanted it, but it looks good none-the-less. I'd say it's say to say this is a custom way of attaching a Glatorian head though. =P

Here's the front. (http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/NeoBlademanSC/Bionicle-MOCs/Gresh-Star-Modified/gresh_front.png)

And the back. (http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/NeoBlademanSC/Bionicle-MOCs/Gresh-Star-Modified/gresh_back.png)

And the side. (http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/NeoBlademanSC/Bionicle-MOCs/Gresh-Star-Modified/gresh_side.png)

I attached the recoloured Gorast claws from Gresh onto his arms like the armour on Gresh Star. I tried it for the legs too, but... Tanma arms don't exactly work very well with the setup on Glatorian Gresh. >>; I replaced Vican's claw legs with the helpful silver Metru feet from Defilak, as I had no Metru green or Lime green feet, nor gresh Star's new feet.

Well, what do you think? Didn't take me that long, but it did take me a little bit to figure out the head. And yes, I know the torso sticks out, but there's not much I can do about that without stuffing up his body with other pieces.

Interesting, and great!
The only problem I see is that tan liftarm on the torso, it kinda stands out a lot, but I guess that's a lack of pieces at work.
Well, I like it a lot!

Thanks. =) And yeah, it is a lack of pieces... Between Toa Blade still being built(Even then I had to borrow some black pieces so the first two pieces that connect the head wouldn't look... off.), and my other two MOCs, I'm quickly running out of pieces, system and technic alike. =P

=) Not supposed to be all that custom, but for what I have, I really like it. And as you can see, I used the straightened Hordika neck(The black thing connecting the Glatorian head) instead of the ball joint already there so the hunched shoulders weren't as bad. But tell Mak thanks. =)

*Frowns* That's weird... I can see it... I'll try re-uploading it.

Looks good from what I can see. And the tan piece does look out of place, but who really cares(just don't post this on BZP, all they would say is that the piece looks bad).

The black part of the set is hard to see, but I think I see what you did, and it's pretty good.

The pieces on the arm stick out, but they are Gresh. Seeing as how you have Gresh I assume you also have the feet that came with him(in LG), but I dunno how feet that size would look on Stars Gresh remake.
If you do buy any stars this year, make Gresh one of them. Although I didn't think he was that great at first, now that I have him he's really cool.

They'd be huge. =P And yeah, I know. *Flashbacks* *Makes the first Toa Blade and posts it on BZP* 'Oh, good MOC, but you should make those red pieces green.' 'I don't have any green pieces in that colour, I only have a few sets from this year.' 'Oh, you should still make those red pieces green.' '-_-;' *Goes back to normal*

And yeah, I'm planning on attempting to get them all if I can, but I highly doubt I'll get any, which is annoying to me. =/

Blame my camera. =P

Thanks. =) It's mostly a normal Kra-Matoran body, but with the straightened Hordika Neck able to hold the head instead of the ball joint already on there. Not as much of a hunch that way.

After 5 minutes of waiting, only 1/4 of it loaded!

I agree with 2Mak, very cool, though you do need to find the Macro button, it may look like a flower, child... ;D :D ;)
