I got this e-mail as well. I should try and alpha test on the last days, I haven't tested that much. Can't wait for the beta though.

So, they're encouraging duping now?

I got the email too. I'm glad we'll finally get to use our real accounts (Head start on the real LU! ;D), but it's a shame that I'll lose all of those achievements from my alpha account. And I guess now we'll see how LU handles a higher amount of people.

LU's been a bit slow on my computer... usually if I wait a long time without using the internet, and then go on an internet program, it speeds up a bit. But then I do have a Wi-Fi connection. Basically, I'm not sure how much testing I'll be able to do.

NO new accounts only had to be made for the ALPHA test.. and those are going to be wiped out.

Haha and then they're gonna break everyones' hearts by saying 'This game will cost $10 USD/month'.

How do you control your character? Arrow keys? First person? 3rd person? Camera change options? Customizable gear and shirts?

I bet it'll be worse than Roblox.

And look how much you know. Pretty much nothing, and yet you already assume an opinion.  And yet us Alpha testers what we can know about it-we know quite a lot about the first few levels. We can assume an opinion of it-we've actually played it. Arrow keys? Big DUH.  That's what they use for all LEGO games.

No.. I tend to think the pricing will be like Free Realms... Free for basic and $5.00 a month for membership.

MsRR: Unless TI means a LEGO employee, I'm more leaning toward the 'pay to play anything' with the fee being like 14.99 Like most of the other NetDevil MMO games I've heard about. And I highly doubt now that it'll be free, even though I really wish it was. =/

You may be right.. TI was a typo.. but in any case, I doubt it will be priced higher than free realms.

However, I've heard that games like JumpGate, one of NetDevil's games, had a monthly fee like I said, so I wouldn't exactly get my hopes up for less than that; that way you can't be epically disappointed if it's like that. =P

Likely the 'moderators' of it. Like, more game staff than actual moderators likely(Note that I have no clue about what you're able to do in-game), but it usually stands for Game Master or so. So essentially the Game Staff.

As a reminder, this is just a theory based off what's normally the case.

Guys, what makes you think you can get everything automatically? It's not until you've  oops can't say a thing about it.

Who says we think that? I'm just mentioning that I hope there's one in there at any time. That plus the weapon they showed us able to obtain in that world and possibly a few other weapons would make my char perfect as a parody. I just have to hope that you can colour helmets, since the demo showed some examples of colouring, but no head gear type of equipment to be coloured. =P

I'll likely also have to hope there's a cape, but meh.

This does seem reminiscent of the LEGO Star Wars games though, from what they showed in the Demo.

I've been seeing them a lot in-game. I think they're the Lego Staff Members...

Hurrying may cause a lot of bugs inside, so they need to palan very carefully.

I got that messege as well. I also got a LU Newsletter that took me to the page linda revealed a little while back. I guess the beta isn't  "private."

Like BZP thinks. Beta will be a blast with the Alpha testers and the new guys. The veterans and the rookies... when it goes gold it will be the 5000 or so famous guys, the 10000 or so veterans, and the millions of rookies =P

Oh, really. I meant the gameplay. Which they showed in the demo. Sure, I may not know all of the items, but I do know that it is like the LEGO games(Minus the Bionicle ones) that were made for the game consoles.

And I really doubt that that includes things like revealed things from the LEGO Universe site. Otherwise, every single one of us would be served an NDA, and likely the whole internet would have to be shut down for breaching one part or another. But go ahead, keep your silence. But where do you get that Beta testers won't be able to say anything?

Apparently it's in a contract thingymebob, but I don't usually go into depth reading LEGO contracts. I'd tell you about it if I could, but I can't.  :( Actually, I only played LU once as an Alpha, I didn't play again as it was being too slow. :D Probably my Wi-Fi connection.

I think they could have made a better demo video - it gives the wrong impression about LU. If you guys think you now know what LU is like just because you watched that video... Let's just say you're in for a ton of surprises when you actually play the game.  ;)

For those who are ALREADY in the Beta Test, I suggest you follow the link at the player center to the message boards for the closed Beta. There is alot of helpful info.. as well as much of the usual spam.. :P
If the link does not work, go to the MB menu, and find closed beta.. you can ONLY view this board if you have a valid Beta enabled account.

start → programs → accessories → system tools → system information

then click the “system summary� then look at “total physical memory�. That'll say how much ram you have.

I'm stuck at the place on the ship with the orangish platforms but I can't get past them because the jump function isn't cooperating. This wouldn't be as frustrating if I didn't see numerous other players around me jumping right up to the top on their first tries. >_>

Wow, I didn't realize LU took that much space. 5.1 GB!

 Yeah, it may take a lot, but it seemed to download relatively fast for 5.1 gig, it took me less than two hours!

The game took less than 1/2 hour to download. Just shut all other programs.

Was it that quick?? I started the download and then took the dogs for a walk with 2Mak07. It was done when we got back

Yes, I'm sure it's that quick. Maybe a minute or two longer than that, but absolutely not longer than 10 minutes.

The update is available to download, so if you want extra play time in the new areas, I'd recommend patching it before Thursday. That's what I'm doing.
