Title: Mazarax and Dalgar
Post by: The Host on February 06, 2010, 07:29:03 pm
Mazarax was once a warrior who led armies into battle. But after meeting Dalgar he has become the servant of the great warrior. Mazarax serves Dalgar with loyalty and completely respects him. Mazarax carries a Cordak Blaster given to him by Dalgar and also a simple blade used in hand to hand combat.
Dalgar was once a matoran on the lush planet of Evap Nui. But he was betrayed by the turuga Ratio and sent into a parallel dimension where he was infused with the power of a toa. Left to wander the endless dimension of All Out Infinity, Dalgar began to hate the matoran race for not coming after him. Dalgar thought himself to be forgotten.
In time Dalgar grew in strength and began to search for a way back to Evap Nui. He eventually found a way back, but when he arrived he discovered that the land had been forgotten and that the city of Evap Koro had been left to die. Dalgar searched for any and all clues as to what had happened to the planet and found the answer in Mazarax. Mazarax explained to Dalgar the war of Plasmatic and Vaho's journey to Ko Nui. Dalgar then journeyed to Ko Nui in search of Vaho.
When Dalgar arrived in Ko Nui he began following Vaho and found that Vaho was quite like the Ratio he remembered and plotted to kill Vaho. But during his plotting Dalgar came across Haze, a deranged and unsettled being quite like Vaho. After tampering with Haze's mind and body he instructed Haze(in a new, more powerful body seen in another topic) to kill Vaho. But when Haze encountered Vaho his memory was restored and Haze returned to Evap Nui in the hope of restoring Evap Nui to its former glory.
Meanwhile, Vaho is locked in battle with Dalgar and Mazarax, and winning does not seem to be in Vaho's future.

MOC Notes:
Dalgar uses Maxilos' design for the body. Upper arms and legs are custom. This is the only MOC I have that I like the use of Metru feet.
Mazarax uses pieces primarily from the Gadunka set of 2007. His body is custom, although I did sneak an Inika torso onto the top. The pistons on the body allow the upper body to raise and lower slightly. The pistons on the legs are mostly to support the heavy weight of his body.

Thanks. Sadly I only make good creations every once in a while. If I posted everything I made more than 90% of it would be rediculously bad.

I usually try to go for a consistant colour scheme, but also sometimes try for something different and untried.

Thanks. Although the red MOC(Dalgar) is only kinda custom since the body comes straight from a Bionicle Titan set(Maxilos).

These are very nice creations!

One tip to make a consistent color scheme is to not leave open studs from axles or rods.

Great creations, great narrative as well.

@B~T: Thanks. The blue pins are Dalgar's hands are supposed to be fingers or something. But sometimes pins sticking out can add to the colour scheme(see my other MOC Haze for an example).

@MsRR: Thank you. The narrative is a backstory that I would sometime like to write a full story about, but I have yet to find time to do so.

I'm with MsRR on this one, a great model deserves a great story.
