Title: Riddles
Post by: Kritzelei on February 17, 2010, 01:02:30 pm
So, who likes riddles? Well, if you have a good one, or know of a good one, you can share it here. Basically, to play you just answer the riddle posted before you, then give your new riddle. Simples!

OK, I'll start of with an easy one, a very easy one for that matter:
On my way to St. Ives I met a man with seven wives.  Each wife had seven sacks; each sack had seven cats; each cat had seven kits.  Kits, cats, wives and sacks – how many were going to St. Ives?
It's harder if you were to tell someone it, rather than reading it. :)

TBD

The pond was dry.

I run over fields and woods all day. Under the bed at night I sit not alone. My tongue hangs out, up and to the rear, awaiting to be filled in the morning. What am I?

 I don't know the answer, but here's a riddle.

"A box without hinges, a top or a lid, yet within, a golden treasure is hid"

Yes, it is copied from a book.

Six glasses are in a row. The first three are full of juice; the second three are empty. By moving only one glass, can you arrange them so empty and full glasses alternate?

0  0  0  0  0  0

Hot and Cold

You are in a cold house in the winter. It is dark. You have one match. There is a candle and there is a wood burning stove. Which do you light first?

The match.

I am not good with riddles so this is probably wrong so I will not post a riddle either.
