Discuss the sets of Atlantis here.

The sets look cool for the most part. The one set that has 6 black Kiina fins looks cool, and I like the new minifig stuff going on with the sets.

Black Kiina fins? Are there, by any chance, any other Bionicle recolours? =D

I'm not sure about other recolours, but the Kiina fins are pretty cool.

One other set has a Tahu Mata Right Arm piece in either black or bley.

EDIT: realised that the coding stuff did not work as I intended... lol

...!? A Mata arm? Whoa, haven't seen that for a little while. And wow, that does look cool.

I hadn't seen a Mata arm since... 2007. I think.

Yeah, wasn't it last in the Toa Terrain Crawler or such?

Possibly. I was thinking of the matoran of that year, but yours would be more recent.

The Atlantis sets have a lot of red pieces.

Shark man is cooler than the other two sea beast minifigs IMO. But all are cool.

Is this the line with the double faced minifigs?

And yes, this line has a lot of potential. But for some reason I don't see it continuing for long. Sadly.

Rahkshi: Yeah; I think that one with the huge gate looks awesome; I think there's some pics on BZP.

ZLS: Yeah, these have double faced Mini-figs as well.

I like the color of the sets...I mean the color of the bricks of the sets. They are nicely packed together.

Are there any other Bionicle recolours in this, besides the Grey/Silver Mantax Claws, the Kiina fins, and the Mata Arms?

Personally, I think every single set of Atlantis sucks.

They all just look so incomplete, they look slapped together, and they look very prone to falling apart. Not to the mention the minifigs are some of the worse I've ever seen with such bad printing.

How does it have bad printing? I like most of them, but the two sided heads can be annoying at times.

And you can't say that that gate one doesn't look epic cool. =p

No, it doesn't look epic cool. it looks thrown-together.

How does it look any more thrown together than any other set?

Then maybe even if you got one you could choose not to build but use them for MOCs.

Well I used to hate Atlantis but now I really, really like it.

(and I know I'm reviving this, but it needs a second chance.)

I have:

Typhoon Turbo Sub
Guardian of the Deep
Wreck raider
Monster Crab Clash

I've been doing some really word things with them, for example, I took away the torso and the legs but left the headgear on the head, then attached one of those pieces that was in Makuta 03 which connected his two staffs at the bottom of the headgear, added another in front of it, and attempted stop-motion with one Atlantis Diver facing this weird thing as it turned around and declared,

'I... Am... Purple... Banana!"

I know it's weird. O_o

Yes, that's a bit insane.


Is it true that LEGO atlantis sets have more playability?

Are any other colors than blue/purple/black in the Atlantis sets? I know there's some yellow and grey pieces, but they aren't the main ones.

2Mak07 seems quite interested in them.

I'm only interested in the minifigures  and the "transparent" bricks in this catergory.

There's Red... which is the main colour, and then there's TRANSPARENT LIME.

Atlantis is a lot more than it looks.

I own the Neptune Carrier and it rocks, I love the Smaller Vechicles it comes with and the way they attach to the main Sub. I also love the Main sub, it has a Large Cockpit (saddly it on has room for one person) and the Cabin just below the Cockpit is awesome too (I use the Cabin as a Lab). I also own that large Shark thing.
I've also played with the Gateway of the Squid, the Shadow Snapper, the Crab thing and a set that comes with the Shark Head Monster (I forgot the name of the set)

Wreck Raider, or Typhoon Turbo sub?

Although I wished the vehicles came with the pilots it said on the sub...
Oh, and in Summer 2010 we get the Portal to Atlantis set.

Oh yeah, the Wreck Raider, thats the name of the Set that comes with the Shark Head Monster. Its a shame the Shark Hea Monster does not come with the same Shark Head you get with the Harry Potter 4 Underwater Set.

I want the Diver HQ more than the Portal, it seems cooler, lol.
Also if you look on the back of the Manual for the Shadow Snapper you can see the portal.

I think atlantis sets look at lot like the old "aquaraiders" sets.

Moving to LEGO, due to theme being done with for a couple years now.
