Title: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: Robbie1997347 on May 11, 2010, 11:18:58 pm I predict the HERO Factory franchise is only gonna last for 2 or 3 years. People do not like that they are replacing BIONICLE with police robots picking up lego bugs and putting them in containers. I think this a poor action made by LEGO's part. Comment on if you agree or not agree.
Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: lionytai on May 12, 2010, 04:46:45 am I kind of agree with Rahkshi. Actually, I believe all themes start as experimental themes. If the themes get successful, it keeps going on.
Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: Trijhak on May 12, 2010, 11:15:15 am Most LEGO themes last for two or three years.
If it lasts longer than a year, then it succeeded. Besides online fanbase=minority of fans. You are forgetting the fans who do not have forum accounts. Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: lionytai on May 13, 2010, 06:38:13 am So, are the Hero Factory products in the market now? I am still confused.

I think they come out in the summer.... Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: mtmerrick on May 13, 2010, 06:10:25 pm should be out next month.
Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: Legodac on May 13, 2010, 06:31:02 pm So is there a link to actually view this new theme?
Never mind, I found it, it's here... http://club.lego.com/en-us/news/extradetails.aspx?id=171159 Oh and by the way, I can answer the question, the Lego Hero Factory will last forever, because it involves us and our creations. It delves in the past, as to our comic book heroes. It will also one day be in the Universe, but that's just my prediction Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: Legodac on May 13, 2010, 07:48:38 pm I never seem to have enough printed to actually make a point do I buddy. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the Bionicle was a good idea, it still exists and lives in the new idea, the parts and theme are the same. All Lego has done is try to get us more involved by saying that we get to create the Heroes. In other words, I think Bionicle simply evolved to suit Lego and it's devout customers. So the key word is here, evolution, from a Bionicle perspective. Lego saw the popularity of Bionicle grow through the years, studied, and then decided to take it to the next level... By making us the Heroes, when they actually evolve through recognition to that state of mind, I, and we, will be truly impressed. For now, enjoy the evolved theme, I got 10 million bricks says you will, and Bionicle will be archived as a precious memory (and some really cool sets, if you saved a few) Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: Robbie1997347 on May 13, 2010, 09:49:33 pm Legodac. You are like the MLNO Elder xD. You speak wise. I completely agree with you.

Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: Legodac on May 15, 2010, 01:16:51 am Thanks for the kind words Robbie
@ lionytai, I'm not sure what you mean, can you explain further please? Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: lionytai on May 15, 2010, 01:58:12 am Changing the names might take interest away from the people who bought Bionicles. "Bionicle" is a way more unique name than "Heroes".
Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: Legodac on May 15, 2010, 02:24:32 am I respect your view and take on this my friend. Though my view is different, the word hero is a word that all recognise, Bionicle is word that only the chosen see :D, by that I mean Lego fans.
Lego in my opinion has seen what you are talking about, They are gonna get more sales from the Hero title then they would the Bionicle, I'm talking about bringing in new customers, and the word hero is someone every kid, including me, wants to be. Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: Trijhak on May 15, 2010, 07:13:27 am New names attract new people.
BIONICLE wasn't getting as much new fans in 09. It was an 8-year old name. BIONICLE started in 2001. It had 9 years before HERO Factory came along-and HERO factory is a NEW NAME. Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: lionytai on May 15, 2010, 10:03:32 pm New names attract new people. Very true. maybe if someone didn't like Bionicle before, they see Heroes, they become liking the Heroes, which is very similar to bionicle. Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: lionytai on May 15, 2010, 10:51:46 pm It started at different times in different parts of the world. :)
Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: Robbie1997347 on May 16, 2010, 09:02:56 pm It started at different times in different parts of the world. :) Yup. The first production line was exported to the U.K. in 2000. Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: Trijhak on May 18, 2010, 04:25:33 pm Only for one day on December 31st 2000. I actually LIVE in the UK-one day isn't enough of a difference and on a day like that nobody would notice.
Title: Re: My thought on HERO Factory..... Post by: lionytai on May 19, 2010, 06:39:08 am Then let's assume KZ said Bionicle started to get popular in 2001?
