This RPG takes place approximately one week after Shapers: Guardians of Nature.

Bio: Alexandra led a normal, just like every normal civilian is. However, approximately an hour before the end of the Battle of Devil's Gate, an unknown cause caused her to become trapped in Alex's body. Currently, the two are sharing a body, which initially led to awkward one-way conversation where one of them spoke aloud, but the other spoke only to the one who had the body. It is currently unknown what happened to her actual body, which suddenly started moving on it's own recently. Alexandra's nickname is 'Alexis', though she hasn't currently told any of the others just yet.
Appearance: Alexandra has long, straight brown hair. She has blue eyes, which tend to have a calm look to them, like the ocean. Alexandra tends to wear a red t-shirt, with a black vest at times. She wears blue pants, and tends to have on brown shoes.

Bio: After the Aethean Military wiped out her village during the Crentoan Border War, Quel vowed to kill everyone involved.

Name: Zaedora Minazuki.

Allegiance: Unknown, probably evil.
Faction: N/A.
Age: Unknown. She looks young, but so did the Noctra, and they were over 5000.
Bio: An old rival of Misery, Zaedora has become more powerful ever since her last defeat at the hands of the Kokuro. She telepathically communicates with others by using their fears and insecurities to infiltrate their minds.

Appearance: Zaedora is slightly taller than average, and thin. The rest of her body is hidden by the brown robes she wears.
Her otherwise attractive face is surrounded by a scar, the only visible evidence of how damaged her face really is. She has piercing gray eyes and white hair with blue lightning-shaped streaks.

"So... She should be around here somewhere..." Alex said to himself, as he walked through one of the graveyards, and looked around quickly.

Misery was sitting on one of the tombstones, nibbling a cookie.

"You." Alex said, as he walked up to her, with his eyes narrowed.

"Hey."

*Leans back, falls off tombstone*

"There's a dead criminal missing; and that means you have some explaining to do." Alex said to Misery, cutting straight to the chase.

"Aw, ****. I got mud on my cookie! Sorry, what? A missing criminal? Well, that's simple. He wasn't really dead."

"I shot him in the head and chest. He was dead." Alex said, as his eyebrow twitched a little bit.

"He was faking. It takes more than that to kill a guy with a Philosophers Stone. Trust me, I tried to kill him when I was still alive." *flashback voice* "When he broke into my parent's house and killed them, I tried to defend myself with a carving knife. Cut him clean in half, but his lower body just grew back. Then he grabbed the knife and killed me."

Alex paused, and blinked.
"Wait a sec; back up there; Philosopher's Stone?"

"Yes...didn't you-? Oh, right. Humans can't sense that stuff."

Alex frowned.
"What is this 'Philosopher's Stone' thing?"

"Long story short, it makes you immortal. Oh, hey, I just remembered...the boss wanted to give you a message: The RPG needs more players, or it will die. Doesn't matter if you don't understand what that means. The extra-dimensional being known as Blade will understand."

Alex started to say something, but his eyes suddenly started glowing, as the great being Bladius took over.
"Tell your boss that, if he hasn't noticed, we're running out of possible players. If you want more, try and advertise, might help out."

OOC: Fourth wall breaking's fun. =P

"HC says he's advertised as best he can on DeviantART." 
*Voice from the sky*
"A-HEM!"

(Misery): "Er..yeah. I'll fix that wall right now."

Alex grabbed some cement, and plastered it over the hole in space beside them.
"So; uh; where were we? Invincible? How is that even possible?"

OOC: Okay then. =P

"A Philosopher's Stone was implanted in his body."

-==IC: Alex==-

"But how can a measly rock make someone invincible?"

"It's filled with human souls, that's how."

-==IC: Alex==-

"What...? But how can something like that... even exist?"

"Long story."

"So if you knew he wasn't dead; what'd you do to him?"

OOC: @Blade: We keep missing each other. =P

IC: "Nothing. I thought he was dead, I came to conduct the Rites, sensed that he was still alive, and left."

OOC: Doesn't help that that was at 7:48. =P

"... And you couldn't have told me that?" Alex asked, as he slapped his hand to his face.
"Plus, can't you do things like hex people? Couldn't you have done that to Jackson?"

"I thought it would be funny for you to find out for yourself. And I can't hex people unless they first confess to each and every one of their Sins."

Alex first sighed at the first comment Misery made, and then chuckled at the second.
"Yeah; he'd not be doing that... He has too long a list, likely." Alex said with a brief smile, which then turned into a frown.
"So... How does he get killed then?"

"If you kill him enough times, the Stone would probably run out of souls."

Alex sighed at that.
"Oh great; more things that are soul powered." Alex said, and shook his head.
"So; simply keep going 'stab stab stab', and he should die eventually? Or just keep going 'bang bang bang' with a gun?"

OOC: =P

"I personally prefer stab. Rather, I prefer to be stabbed.♥"

Not more people who abuse the heart symbol... Alex thought, but then smiled.
"I see..." Alex said with a wave, that was rather out of place at the time.

"That all?"


OOC: Misery used the ♥ to show how much she loves being hurt.

OOC: Quick question: Who will kill Nark?

Just cause I wanna see it done before I leave lol =P

OOC: I'll have a Kokuro come for him...that way, if you want to come back, you can.
IC: Directly behind Nark, a bell rang.

"His location maybe?"

OOC: Didn't think I had anything to respond to. xP

"How the heck should I know? Try South City. It's near Crentoa, so it might have some special meaning to him."

"Alright then." Alex said, as he nodded, and then started to head to where the government building was. Alex wanted to tell the General what he had found out before anything else.

Desíré was talking to Armis. (or rather, being interrogated by Armis).

Alex raised his eyebrow as he walked into the office, and knocked to let Armis know he was there.

Though Desíré did not speak, her expression showed how relived she was to be freed from Armis's interrogation.

(Armis): "Yes? What is it?"

-==IC: Alex==-

"I have a report on what happened involving Langley sir... And you may really want to hear this."

OOC: =P

(Armis): "Spit it out!"

OOC: @Legodac: You're welcome to take part in the RPG, but not until you PM me your character profile.

Alex raised an eyebrow, but nodded.
"He's apparently not dead, sir. Though he got shot in the head and chest... Apparently he has something known as the 'Philosopher's Stone', and that makes him invincible according to what I heard."

Desíré gave Kaze a shocked look.

(Armis): "Any idea where he is?"

-==IC: Alex==-

"Only a guess of South City. No concrete idea of where he is other than that, however."

"Well, that's where you need to go. DISMISSED!"

*Desíré stands, leans in very close to Kaze, whispers* "I need to talk with you before you depart."

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex nodded, though he wasn't sure what to say in response, given that Armis was likely standing nearby.

(Armis): "Well? Go! I dismissed you!"

*Desíré steps out of the room to wait to Alex*

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex walked out of the room, and down the hallway, and waited for Desiree.

(Desíré): "The Philosopher's Stone could be what I need. It could amplify your powers enough for you to be able to turn me human."

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex raised an eyebrow, and then nodded.
"I see... But... How would we get it away from Langley? From the sounds of it, and from what I remember from when I killed him... He never had it on him."

"It must be implanted somewhere in his body..."

-==IC: Alex==-

"But how would we find out where?" Alex asked with a frown.

"If I were there, I could sense it..."

-==IC: Alex==-

"Alright then; let's go destroy an undead criminal then."

*nods*
"Let us go."

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex nodded, and walked out of the building. He wondered where exactly South City was, but knew he'd find his way eventually.

OOC: South? =P
Why not just post that you go there. no need for all the details on how you got there.

OOC: I know. =P

After a while, Alex and Desiree finally arrived in South City.
"Alright; now where to, do you think?"

*Desíré rips her dress off, revealing the plastic dress underneath*
"Let's just follow the carnage!"

Alex blinked, unsure of what to say about Desiree's sudden change in attitude.
"... Carnage...?" Alex asked, as he raised an eyebrow at Desiree again.

"Yeah! I'll bet Langley is killing people right now. I don't wanna miss any of it!"

Alex just looked at Desiree with a blank look on his face, as a bead of sweat ran down his face.
"O-Okay then..."

"Come on! Let's hunt that b****** down!"

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex's look just turned even more shocked.
"... U-uh..." Alex said, speechless, as he simply followed Desiree.
This is weird...

OOC: Just imagine when she returns to her other personality and wonders where her clothes went! =P

IC: *explosion*

OOC: Poor Alex is going to be so confused. xD

Alex frowned, as he heard the explosion.
"What was that?" Alex asked, turning serious, as he reached for a nearby pipe, just in case, though his gun was also on his belt, if he needed it.

*Desíré runs toward the sound*

Alex followed her quickly, even if she was acting weird at the moment.

"Oh, I hope we get to kill him!"

Langley was in the town square, shooting at a group of children that huddled behind a statue.

Alex growled as he saw Langley, and whipped out his gun, and took aim at Langley's head while he was distracted.
"Major Jackson!" Alex yelled out, as he pulled the trigger three times quickly.

OOC: Hmm. Interesting. Alex always shoots at Langley when he's distracted. xP

"Good to see people still recognise my rank!"
*dodges*

Desíré blew Jackson a kiss...and a blast of flame flew at him, sending him flying backwards.

Alex took the opportunity to run toward Langley, as he then stopped, and aimed his pistol at the ex military agent, and fired off two more shots, before he turned to the children.
"Get away from here, quick!" Alex told them, as he looked back to Langley.

Desíré blew more fire at Langley. The children attempted to flee, but he shot at them, and they dove back behind the statue.

Alex fired two more shots off at Jackson, mostly aiming for his gun, as he frowned. He realized he didn't have many more shots left, but if he reloaded now, bad things might happen. However, Alex crouched down, and place his hand on his ground, as a wall of earth blocked Jackson's line of vision to the children.

Jackson ran at Alex.

Alex decided his course of action, as he fired two more bullets at Jackson, and then released the clip from the gun, and quickly inserted another, as he readied the gun for another round of bullets.

OOC: Interesting. =P

Jackson punched at Alex so hard his hands seemed to be on fire.

(Desíré): "W-where are my clothes?"

Alex flew backwards comically, as he hit the ground and then rolled for a few seconds. Alex groaned, as he looked at Desiree.
"What do you... mean...?" Alex groaned, as he slowly stood up.
"You ripped them off shortly after we arrived in South City..."

"Why on earth would I do that?"

*Jackson kicks at Alex*

Alex barely rolled to the side to avoid the kick, and fired off two shots at Langley's torso.
"How am I supposed to know? You randomly did it, and then became all weird, talking about carnage, and killing this guy. Which, by the way, I could use some help in doing."

OOC: =P

"...Was I breathing fire?"

Jackson shot at Alex again.

Alex rolled to the right again to avoid the shot.
"Yes! yes you were! Now I could use some help!" Alex yelled out, as he needed help right at that moment.

"That was my other personality..."

*Jump-kicks Langley*

-==IC: Alex==-

"Other personality, what?" Alex asked, confused, as he fired two shots at the downed Langley.

"It happens to me sometimes..."

Langley rolled away from Alex's shots and pulled out another gun.

-==IC: Alex==-

"... I ask again; just how many guns do you have?" Alex asked Langley, as he attempted to shoot Langley's gun out of his hand.
"And that's different... Your other personality seemed to crave destruction."

"Yes. It is the opposite of the personality I wear now. And I do not believe it wants to be human."

*Jackson fires at Alex's head*

Alex frowned, as he rolled to the right.
"We'll have to time this pretty well then... Where's that stone, though?" Alex asked, as he fired another shot at Langley, aiming for his head.

"Hmm...his left knee, I think."

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex turned, and aimed just above Langley's left knee, and then fired off two shots at it.

Langley jumped fifteen feet in the air and fired off three shots at Alex.

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex rolled forward, and then spun around, and fired off three shots at where Langley's torso would be.

Langley crashed to the ground. Desíré took this opportunity to guide the children to safety.

Alex quickly ran over to Langley, and then buried another bullet in Langley's head. Alex grabbed the shaped sword he had created, and then frowned.
Where is this thing supposed to be?

Langley kicked at Alex.

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex got kicked in the chin and stumbled back, and then turned his attention back to Langley as he stood up, and shot at the former Major once more.

Langley kicked Alex in the legs with enough force to break his bones.

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex, however, backflipped away from Langley quickly.
"Uh... Desiree?" Alex called out, knowing he couldn't take this guy by himself. At least, not a third time.

Desíré calmly walked over to Langley, grabbed his foot, and yanked his entire leg off. In his kneecap was a glowing red stone.

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex raised an eyebrow.
"Get that out, would you?" Alex asked, as he shot Langley in the forehead.
"Just to be safe. After all, he might decide to regenerate, even though he's missing a leg."

As soon as Desíré removed the stone, Jackson screamed and dissolved.

-==IC: Alex==-

"Well; at least that's one problem solved." Alex said, as he walked up to Desiree.
"Alright; should we try it now? From the sounds of it... It'll take some good timing..."

"When you are ready..."

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex nodded.
"Alright; Stone please?" Alex asked, holding his hand out. He needed to pretty much time this perfectly; as getting the timing wrong would probably mean a Desiree that he didn't want to be near, for fear of wishing destruction on everyone.

OOC: More likely, Desíré would die.

IC: Desíré handed Alex the stone.

OOC: Eh, remember that plan I had PMed you about before...?

Alex accepted the Stone with a nod.
"Alright then... Now how would this work..."

OOC: We'll continue this in two days; okay? I'll continue posting in SHIRA for a bit, but I expect these posts to be long once this whole thing starts. =P

OOC: OK. And I remember....

Alex looked at the stone with a frown, as a chuckle rang out through the area. Alex breathed in, and then looked around quickly.
"Who's there!?" Alex called out, as a figure in black walked toward them.
"So... Working together with a Noctra again... You seem to make that a regular occurrence..." Black said as he drew his magnetic swords, and frowned.
"So; I will terminate both you and the girl Noctra."

OOC: Timing will need to be perfect; as Alex will both need to invoke every ounce of his shaping power to backlash, and the power of the Philosopher's Stone, AND make sure the personality's correct. =P

Desíré dropped into a combat stance, and switched personalities again.
"Just try and take me, you little b******!"

Alex sighed, and shook his head.
"Never taunt the guy who can kill you with magnets."

"Bring it on!"

-==IC: Black==-

"... Seriously?" Black asked, as his eyebrow twitched.
"I'd take your friend's advice." Black said, as he turned to Alex.
"Just try and stop me." Black said, as he prepared for the fight.

Desíré blew Black a kiss, sending a wall of flame at him.

-==IC: Black==-

Black quickly rolled out of the way, as he focused.
"You've made a careless mistake already." Black said, as he ran toward Desiree.

Desíré continued sending flames at Black.

-==IC: Black==-

Black continued to roll to the side, as Alex frowned, trying to get closer to Black while avoiding the flames himself.
"You existing is your mistake."

Desíré's flames became white hot.

-==IC: Black==-

Black whipped his arm around the air, and then send a wave of water toward Desiree quickly.

(Desíré): "EEP! That's cold!"

-==IC: Black==-

Black smiled, as he walked toward Desiree.

OOC: What personality is she on? =P Note when she switches personalities. xP

OOC: Evil personality.

IC: Desíré smiled back at him, and whistled. A giant hawk swooped down near her, and she jumped onto it.

OOC: Alright then. ;)

Black, however, slashed the hawk in half quickly, before Desiree had the chance to go anywhere.
"You're not going anywhere."

Desíré jumped over Black, and kicked him in the back of his head with enough force to shatter diamond.

-==IC: Black==-

Black, however, sidestepped the potentially fatal blow quickly, and grabbed Desiree's leg, and tossed her to the ground with her own momentum.
"Any last words?" Black asked with narrowed eyes.

"Yeah. Look out behind you."

-==IC: Black==-

Black quickly rolled to the side to make sure nothing hit him, but wasn't about to let the Noctra survive this...

A gigantic hammer smashed into the ground where Black had been.

(Fury): "Huh. I missed."

OOC: Just a note, wouldn't Desiree have been there?

-==IC: Black==-

Black smiled, which was rare for him.
"Perfect... Two Noctra." Black said, as he dashed toward the newcomer quickly, and attempted to stab Fury with his magnetic shortswords.

OOC: Let's get rid of the interfering guy first. I don't want my plan for this battle interrupted; any way it could be. =P

OOC: No, Desíré was behind Black.

IC: (Fury): "I SMASH YOU NOW!" *swings hammer*

-==IC: Black==-

Black flipped to the left, and planted his left hand on the ground to continue his momentum, as he skidded to a stop while the Noctra recovered, and then stabbed out toward Fury's torso.

OOC: Nocturne location?

OOC: his right fist.

IC: Desíré blew white flames at Black.

-==IC: Black==-

Black simply rolled to the right, and saw the Nocturne in plain sight on Fury's right hand. Black focused on that, and stabbed out quickly at Fury's hand, hopefully while the Noctra was still recovering.

(Fury): "Ow."

*swings hammer again*

-==IC: Black==-

Black quickly backflipped away from the smash, and then planted his feet on the ground to launch forward at Fury again, aiming his stab at the same location.

-==IC: Black==-

Black took advantage of him seeming to be distracted, and stabbed the spot once more.

Fury... yelped.

Desíré, meanwhile, had snuck up behind Black, and punched him as hard as she could in the back of his neck.

-==IC: Black==-

Black, somehow realizing that Desiree was behind him, side stepped, and elbowed the Noctra, as he stabbed at Fury's Nocturne once more.

Fury exploded, as Desíré  kicked at the back of Black's knees.

OOC: Exploded figuratively, or literally? Is he gone? =P

-==IC: Black==-

Black backflipped onto Desiree's shoulders, and then slammed his elbow down on top of her head, before backflipping off the Noctra's shoulders.

OOC: Literally.

IC: "How rude!"
*Back-Kicks Black in the stomach*

OOC: Woot. +1 Noctra to his destruction record. >=D That's two now. ^_^

Black stumbled back, and prepared for the next move.

OOC: Remember to keep me updated when she switches personalities next. =P

Desíré prepared to kick again...and blinked. "Where in the world? What is going on?"

OOC: switch. =P

-==IC: Black==-

Black smirked, and stepped back, and prepared to stab out at Desiree with his magnetic sword sword... However; the thing that ended up with a magnetic sword stuck inside it... Was not a Noctra. Alex stepped in front of Desiree, as he took the stab in his stomach. Alex gasped, as Black raised an eyebrow.
"Interesting..." Black stated, but that wasn't the most of it. The red stone began to glow, as Alex narrowed his eyes.
"I... Won't... LET YOU!" Alex yelled out, as a vortex of energy surrounded him, and forced Black back, as he yanked the sword out. Alex quickly grabbed hold of Desiree while she was her normal self, and channeled most of the energy into her, to fulfill the plan that they had been talking about. However, even then, that wasn't all of the energy, as some more of it quickly healed Alex's wound, which caused Black to raise an eyebrow again. The massive power, along with Alex's determination, forced the power needed and the focus needed to merge, which was by far when Alex's powers were at full max; and that wasn't really including the Philosopher's Stone, which was also pouring it's energy out too.

OOC: And that's how timing is perfect.

There was a flash of light...and Desíré's Nocturne vanished.

Black stared in shock, as that was not something he, and likely anyone, had ever seen.
Is... That even possible!? Black thought, as he watched what happened.

Desíré: "Whoo...little dizzy...."

Alex said nothing, as he stood where he had been, with his head down.

OOC: You might wanna inquire about Alex. =P

Desíré: "! A-Alex! Are you OK?!"

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex's only response was falling to his knees, and then to the ground, unconscious.

OOC: Hmm. =P

"EEP!"

What do I do? I do not have any Noctra powers, so I cannot heal him the normal way...

*kneels beside Alex, checks his pulse*

Alex had a pulse, yes, he was simply unconscious, from the mass outburst of his power. Black, meanwhile, had simply taken to watching the situation unfold.

Alex didn't really respond, as he was unconscious.

"..."
*slaps Alex*

That didn't do all that much, except turn Alex's head into a bobblehead for the moment.

OOC: =P Keep trying, this is fun. =P

*Starts shaking him violently*

Soon, Alex had the look of Toon Link when he was shaken.
"What...?" Alex mumbled, as he slowly opened his eyes.

"You are OK!!!!"

*Unnecessarily tight hug*

"Hey." Alex said to Desiree, kinda surprised, but then smiled.
"So... Did it work?" Alex asked, as he wasn't totally certain, but given the fact that he had expended all his energy in the attempt, he hoped so.

"Y...yes. I am human."

*realizes something*

"I need to find my clothes..."

"So, this is your main personality then?" Alex asked, kinda curious on that.
"Good. Also, about the clothes, might be better just to buy new ones; your alter kinda ripped them off. Literally." Alex said, and then paused.
"Also, you may wanna consider a new name, just to differentiate the fact that you're not a Noctra."

"I suppose I will simply stick with the name you chose to call me...Desiree."

OOC: And what is Black doing through all this?

Alex nodded with a smile.
"To be honest, it fits you, and is close enough to your original name." Alex said, and looked around, and tensed as he saw Black leaning up a nearby wall.
"... Never thought I'd see a day like this..." Black said, an intrigued look on his face, as he walked over to the pair.
"A Noctra got turned into a human... Interesting. Wouldn't have thought that to be possible."

OOC: Was still shocked. xD

"Anything is possible. Wow...and here I pride myself on NOT saying cliched stuff."

"And nothing is guaranteed." Alex finished with a nod. Black frowned, but also nodded.
"Interesting... So. What's the next move...? If you really are against the Noctra." Black asked the two of them.

"I...do not know."

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex frowned.
"I'm not sure either... It'd be good if we could strike at the core of the Noctra, and finish them off for good, but... I have no clue how to do that, or where the core is." Alex said with another frown.

OOC: Strike team, gathering in three... two... one...

"I know where the Devil's Gate is."

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex looked at Desiree, and then nodded.
"Alright. But then how could we get there? I don't think anyone can teleport..." Alex said, and froze, only to turn around as he seemed to sense someone behind him.
"Hmm. That's different." Luke said as he walked up to the group with an eyebrow raised.
"You turned around just as I approached... And I doubt you heard me..." Luke said, and thought for a second, but then shook his head.
"Either way, I heard what you were talking about. Essentially a Strike Mission against the Noctra? I'm in. My powers might come in handy, as well." Luke said, and Alex nodded.
"This is against the Noctra... So obviously I'm in." Black said with a scowl, it being obvious that he didn't prefer this crowded group.

OOC: Any of your chars wish to join the strike mission? =P

OOC: No, not really. =P

IC: (Desiree): "Getting there is impossible without teleporting..."

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex frowned, as he couldn't think of how they could get there then.
"Hmm... That's not good then..." Alex said, and then paused.
"And even when we get there, how would we get rid of it? Just keep hacking at it?"

"If we could get there, I could sabotage it."

-==IC: Alex==-

"Sabotage it? How?" Alex asked, a curious look on his face.

"I must keep some secrets..."

-==IC: Alex==-

"For the viewers? Ah, right, I can see how the people behind that wall would want that." Alex said with a nod.

*Misery, who has somehow appeared behind you*

"Hey, careful! If you break the wall, I'm the one that has to fix it!"
*Misery vanishes*

Alex smirked, but then rolled his eyes.
"So; we're back to the teleporting problem..."

"We would need a captured Noctra to take us to the Devil's Gate."

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex frowned.
"What if there was any other way? Not that I know of any..."

"I suppose...you could use a Gate of Truth to teleport yourself to the Devil's Gate."

-==IC: Alex==-

"Do you think it's possible there are any other ways?" Alex asked, not sure what kinds of teleportation there were.

OOC: Mostly saying this because I have an idea. =P

"It is possible."

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex nodded at that.
"I see... Now the question is what those possibilities could be..."

"You have an idea?"

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex looked at Desiree, confused.
"What do you mean?"

OOC: *Whistles innocently*

"Your voice....you have an idea."

-==IC: Alex==-

"But, I haven't said anything since you mentioned about possibilities..." Alex said with a frown on his face.
"How'd she know about me thinking about ideas...?"

"I can read your voice..."

"But... I haven't been saying anything..." Alex said, and then frowned.
"Out loud, at least..." Alex thought, and Luke raised an eyebrow.
"Well then, how did the last three things you're denying get heard likely by all of us?" Luke asked, and Alex looked at him curiously.
"Three things?" Alex asked, and Luke nodded.
"Yeah. The first one, about the idea... The last one, which you also seem to be denying... And the thing you just said about not saying things, and then adding 'out loud'." Luke said, and Alex looked at Luke with an incredulous look.
"H-how do you know that? I... I thought that..." Alex said, and Luke raised an eyebrow again.
"You thought that? You mean... What we heard... Was a mental statement?" Luke asked, kinda in disbelief.

OOC: And no, before you ask, they didn't 'switch' powers. =P Though, it is possible that Desiree now has shaping powers. xP

 *Desiree just watches*

Alex breathed in, and then sighed.
"Okay. So apparently I'm a telepath now. What other skills do I have now, I wonder?" Alex asked with a frown, as he placed his hands to the ground, and attempted to shape it into earth, since it was pavement currently... However, nothing happened.
"Alright, so my powers are gone as I thought... But... Yet I have other abilities now. How is that even possible?" Alex asked with a frown.

OOC: Say... have you noticed anything?

OOC: like what?

OOC2: just an FYI...trying to read Desiree's thoughts won't work. she's mostly human, but  her brain is still structured slightly differently.

OOC: Like anything or anyone that is or isn't present...?

And as for the second thing, I'm sure that it would be able to be bypassed in time, but right now, Alex can't read anyone else's thoughts either, just project his own. =P I'm just showing these powers awakening, but they aren't anywhere near full power yet. Except one power, that hasn't been awakened, but will always be 'full power' due to it's nature. ;)

"Well? Tell us your plan."

"It hadn't been an actual plan, since I was only thinking of what the possibilities could be... However... This recent revelation makes me intrigued to the other powers I might have now..." Alex explained, and thought for a second.
"What if I also somehow got the power of teleportation?"

"...The only way to know..is to try. The Devil's Gate is located in a huge cavern ten miles underneath Aethea."

Alex nodded, and concentrated... But nothing happened.
"..." Alex looked around without saying anything, and then frowned.
"Hmm." Alex said, and then turned around to start to pace, and nearly walked right into a portal.

OOC: =P

*a smirk appears on Desiree's face, but vanishes before anyone can see*

"So." Alex said, as he turned around.
"Should we try this? Take note, I have no clue where this leads, if there's a way back, or if this'll just randomly lead to some bottomless hole." Alex stated, and Black rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, this sounds like the perfect way of traveling. Safest form of transportation in the universe." Black said, voice laced with sarcasm.

"I believe it will take us where we need to go. I have faith in Alex."

"I'm going to try it as well; Alex seems to show powers that most of us can't even dream of using, from what's happened in the last little while." Luke said, and walked forward through the portal. Black looked around, and then scowled, and nodded grudgingly, as he walked through as well.
"Thanks." Alex said with a smile to Desiree, and motioned to the portal.
"Let's go."

The Devil's Gate was a huge, stone door, made of black stone. It rose a full 100 feet into the air, and was covered with Latin text.

"That's the gate...?" Alex asked, a look of surprise on his face, as he hadn't exactly expected it to be so... imposing.
"Well, let's get to this..." Alex said, as he walked forward, as Black and Luke prepared for any fight.

Greed: *claps*
"Nicely done. I didn't think you'd make it here. But..we're all already here. Jealousy."

*Jealousy steps out, grabs her forehead, and rips off the skin, revealing a third eye underneath*

"Deceit"

*Deceit steps out, reveals her true face*

"Sloth."

*Sloth walks out, then falls asleep*

"Paranoia."

*The grinning eyes appear*

"Ignorance."

*Lt. Nara's niece steps out*

"Vanity."

*Vanity steps out*

"And me, of course. Greed!"

The three warriors frowned, as they drew their respective weapons(Or in Luke's case, surrounded his fists in aura), and got into a battle stance.
"This might be out hardest battle yet... Let's do this." Alex said, as he prepared for this fight.

OOC: Seven on basically 3. xP Great odds. xD

Thousands of razor-sharp grins flew at them over and over from all directions, as Vanity attempted to blind them with her mirror, Jealousy predicted their next move before they had even decided on it, Wraith appeared and tried to smother them, and Deceit launched her razor-sharp puzzle pieces at them.

Alex frowned, as everyone on the non-Noctra side attempted to dodge the attacks quickly, and Black ran forward toward Vanity quickly, wanting to take her out first.

Vanity lifted her mirror into the air, creating dozens of clones of herself. She (and the clones) then resumed their attempts to blind Alex's team. Paranoia's grin's began moving faster and faster, and Deceit spat webbing at everyone, attempting to entangle them. (The puzzle pieces are still flying as well).

*Desiree laughs*

Alex focused, as he tried to figure out a plan quickly. Given that he didn't know what half his powers were, those likely wouldn't help much... Luke fired multiple Aura blasts at multiple attacks, attempting to knock them off course or so, as Black redirected his attacks to Deceit quickly.

OOC: What would disrupt Nocturnes again? =P

OOC: Down here? Down here, the Noctra are invincible due to how close to the Gate they are. >:D

IC: Another thousand grins appeared.

Ignorance used her telepathic powers to send waves of mental agony at Alex's party, forcing them to relieve all their word memories, and bringing all their worst fears to life.

Deceit dodged effortlessly and blasted more webbing. The pule pieces also moved faster.


Sloth entered the fray, fighting hand-to-hand.

Jealousy used her telepathy to guide the other Noctra, since she could predict exactly what the party would do next.

Vanity (and the clones) began using the mirrors not only to blind the party, but also to set their clothes on fire.

OOC: Ah; so it's the gate's fault... I can fix that. =P

Black narrowed his eyes, as nothing seemed to even be phasing the Noctra. Black dashed forward to dodge the attacks, and ended up near the Devil's Gate, and then stopped, as he could feel the power pouring out of the gate. Black growled, and looked from the Noctra to the gate, seemingly making the connection.
"Hmph; so you have to rely on that huh?" Black asked, as he tilted his head to the side, and then slammed his hands to the ground, and created a field of magnetic rock to surround the gate.

OOC: Question; can I upgrade to using magnetic steel? =P

OOC: ...Sure.

IC: The gate rumbled.

Greed: "Too late! In mere moments, the gate will open!"

All the attacks got faster and faster.

*Desiree laughs louder*

Alex's eyes snapped open, as he smiled.
"Black!" Alex called out, and the shaper turned his head to look at Alex.
"What?" Black asked, annoyed.
"... Be prepared." Alex said, as he quickly ran at the now-barrier of magnetic steel, as Black raised an eyebrow. As Alex ran right toward the wall, Black smirked, and then opened a hole big enough for Alex to fit through, realizing that's what he meant, and figuring he had a plan of some sorts.

OOC: What would hacking the gate require in general?

OOC: Rewriting the text.

OOC: Okay then. =P

Alex sighed, as he walked up to the gate, and looked up at it.
"So... This is it..." Alex said, and then looked down at his clenched left hand.
"I only just realized it, but..." Alex muttered to himself, as he opened the hand, with a crimson light glowing from the palm of his left hand.
"The Philosopher's Stone must have fused with me when my powers went wild. Maybe this is what caused those other powers to awaken..." Alex mused, as he walked up to the Gate.
"Well... It's time to test this theory." Alex sighed, as he placed his hands on the gate, and then attempted to tap into the power of the Stone once more...

OOC: That's what I was hinting at tonight. >=D

I'm just gonna use it up, however... But I want, at the most, only my arm to be destroyed. Since it wasn't a typical fusion. =P

OOC:*Waits to see what happens...*

Alex concentrated, as the glow from the stone's power began to flood the makeshift chamber that Black had created. He wasn't sure how long they could keep this up, but he hoped long enough. Alex looked up, as he began to use the stone's innate power, in order to alter the gate. He wasn't sure how this would have to work, but hoped that his intentions could be conveyed in a way that his will could be translated to whatever was needed to alter the gate to render it inoperable, destroy it outright, or at least destroy the Noctra in existence.

*Without anyone noticing, Desiree unsheathes a dagger*

Alex concentrated, as he continued to work at taking down the gate.
Come on... Alex said, as he noticed that the text on the gate had started to shift from the power seemingly, and rewrite into something else...

*Desiree stabs at Alex from behind, faster that the eye can follow*

OOC: Mind explaining how she's past that magnetic wall? Only Alex got through. =P

OOC: OK, so she stabbed at Luke.

"Huh?" Luke wondered, as barely moved out of the way in time, though his left arm got cut by the dagger.
"What are you doing...?"

"You need me to spell it out? I. Tricked. You. We planned to lure you here to finish you off."

OOC: Remember: Paranoia is launching thousands of razor-sharp giant grins at you, Deceit is doing the same with her puzzle pieces and spitting webbing, all 20 Vanitys are reflecting white-hot light at your eyes, Wraith is trying to enter your pores and smother you, Sloth is trying to beat you up, Ignorance is sending waves of telepathic pain at all of you, and Jealousy is telepathically telling the other Noctra what you'll do next. You're doomed.

Meanwhile...

Alex focused, as he continued to pour energy into altering the Gate. A number of the words had been changed already, with some of them being created to destroy the Noctra in existence. Alex wasn't making a ton of headway on that, but it was working slowly, as Alex noticed things going on outside the dome, which had been sealed with another layer of magnetic rock and steel.
I hope I can get this done soon enough...

Luke narrowed his eyes, and responded by sending an Aura Blast toward Desiree quickly.

The Gate began to open.

Desiree dodged and stabbed at a rather sensitive area.


OOC: Gate: 3% open.

-==IC: Luke==-

Luke, however, sidestepped the stab, and aimed to elbow at Desiree's head.

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex frowned, and focused on completing the section he was on, which aimed to delete Jealousy from existence.

A blast of ice came from the Gate.

Desiree dodged.

OOC: Gate opening: 7%.

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex prepared to dodge, but didn't need to, as one of his other powers activated suddenly, a small scale barrier to disrupt the path of the ice. Alex then completed the section he had been on, and started onto the next section, which was to attempt to rid the world of Vanity.

The Gate repaired itself, and Jealousy reappeared.

OOC: Gate progress: down to 6%.

However, Alex sabotaged the progress it was making, by rapidly re-writing the wording he used to destroy Jealousy before. It helped that he had already translated it, of course.

OOC: Would it be basically the same for each? =P

OOC: pretty much.

IC: Ice blasts came more frequently.

OOC: What was the magnetic wall again?

SOOC: Gate progress: 12%.

OOC: Steel/rock/steel. I think Black's reinforcing it again though. =P

And alright then. ;)

However, the attacks simply kept getting deflected. Alex then started to translate the next section to destroy the Noctra, and raised an eyebrow as he noticed it was more or less the same. Alex analyzed the different parts, and then essentially did a copy/paste/find/replace on it all, and eliminated Vanity from the fight, as he realized this would go much faster now, in terms of destroying the Noctra.

OOC: Does destroying the Noctra also destroy parts of the Gate?

OOC: No, and...

IC: (Jealousy): "Idiot. Now that the Gate is open, it doesn't matter if we're connected to it. just being near it gives us more than enough energy! Observe..."


*Sloth gently taps the wall, and it explodes into a million tiny pieces*

Alex, however, concentrated on another part of the gate, one that actually destroyed a piece of the gate, and quickly finished that off, as Black reinforced the walls quickly. Luke, meanwhile, growled.
"Your evil has gone unchecked for far too long. Just give up; your plan is falling today." Luke said, as he concentrated, and attempted to send an Aura Sphere at each of the Noctra, to attract their attention to him.

The gate instantly repaired itself.

The auras bounced off the Noctra. (Greed): "We're too powerful to be beaten now."

OOC: Gate progress: 27%.

"Alright. Let's get to doing this..." Alex said, and turned the power up on what he was currently pouring into the gate to alter it, as he attempted first to close it, and also take it apart piece by piece at the same time.

-==IC: Luke==-

"That's where you're wrong." Luke said, with a smile.
"You thought that Alex went into the portal to destroy the gate? You're wrong... I'm Alex." Luke said with a smirk, trying to pass himself off as his comrade, as the waves around the area surrounding Luke began to shimmer to turn himself into Alex quickly.
"And that means, I can take down every one of you now. Did I ever mention that I got special powers recently? Well one of those can lead to your downfall." Luke said, as he looked at Greed.
"And that downfall will happen now."

OOC: *head explodes*

IC: Suddenly, everything became pitch-black.

OOC: Did I mention that Noctra can see in the dark?

OOC2: Gate Progress: 30%.

OOC: Luke is Luke, and Alex is Alex, don't worry. =P

Alex continued to pour in energy to close the gate before anything else, tapping into the full potential of the Philosopher's Stone in the process.

Luke smirked at that.
"Oh yes, because that'll be so much help against me." Luke said, as he opened his palm, and a red light gathered in his hand.
"Look; I have the Philosopher's Stone. You can't hope to defeat us." Luke said, and then closed his palm, as he quickly moved his arms to the side, as a glow gathered him quickly. Black turned to Luke quickly, a surprised look on his face.
"Wha? Are you...!? If you do that...!" Black yelled out, shocked at what Luke was up to, what he could feel in that aura.
"I know. But it's a risk that needs to happen." Luke said, as he started to gather the energy that got sent out from the gate into himself and his aura... And attempt to starve the energy from the Noctra in the process.

OOC: Yes, I know, but when you have uber opponents, you need to twist a couple rules. Especially considering we don't have Nark on our side, like we would've, or Marik. =P ... Heck, the strike team's kinda not exactly what I was initially hoping for, but you've gotta give me some credit. =P

OOC: If Luke absorbs ANY of the energy, he'll instantly become Pure Evil.

IC: The Gate blasted more and more ice, as the Noctra amplified their attacks.

OOC: Gate Progress: 47%.

OOC: Me saying he's absorbing it into himself wasn't entirely true; he's gathering it into his aura, and will simply use it to enhance his attacks. =P

Alex growled, and slammed his hands onto the gate in desperation.
"Come ON!!!!!" Alex yelled out, as he poured out nearly all of the stone's energy, and a lot of his energy, in a desperation attempt to take the gate down for good, rapidly writing and re-writing lettering on the gate to close it and destroy it at the same time, completing sections faster than he had been before that.

OOC: Given that this is Alex in his Desperation Mode... I'd say this has a bigger effect than before. =P

Luke used the dark energy as a shield of sorts, and then blasted a mixed aura blast at the head of one of the Noctra in an attempt to kill it.

OOC: Do you realize you set methods to win extremely high? =p

OOC: You're fighting Satan's children. Why would it be easy?

IC: The gate shuddered.


OOC: Gate Progress 75%.

OOC: It likely wouldn't be, but this is basically impossible, when I took out three before this ambush. =P Especially when you decide to up the Gate's progress when I'm rapidly working through pretty much a Noctra's power to close the thing. xP

Alex growled, as he continued to rewrite the text, setting all of it to destroy the gate and all Noctra around it.

The Gate shuddered violently. A giant humanoid form, almost as tall as the Gate, could be vaguely seen moving on the other side.

OOC: 99%....

-==IC: Alex==-

"COME ON!" Alex yelled out, as he finished rewriting the text to destroy the gate, as he sent a wave of energy to fragment the gate, and attempt to destroy it.

OOC: ... You're taunting me, aren't you. =P

The Gate opened completely...and crumbled to dust.

(Deceit): "...Uh-oh."

Alex panted, as he waited to see what happened next. The magnetic wall had fallen once more, and Alex looked around to see what happened next, though, he didn't have the best of feelings about this...

(Vanity): "Er...this would be a good time for some impressive last words, but I can't think of any."
*Vanity dissolves*

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex looked at the others, as he panted from the effort in what just happened, as Luke dispelled the dark energy from around the aura.
"... See; I told them; they wouldn't listen to me, though."

(Greed): "I guess we underestimated you."

*dissolves*

-==IC: Black==-

"Hmm. So it's over... It's finally over." Black said, a look of surprise on his face, as he hadn't actually expected any of this to actually work.

Sloth: "Living was too much effort anyway."

*Dissolves*

Jealousy: "You can't take it with you. Wherever we're going, at least I'll finally be equal with them."

*Dissolves*

Alex sighed as he sat down.
"It's finally over... The Noctra threat is gone..."

(Deceit): "...Nark...."

*Dissolves*

Ignorance: "No! No! Noooo-Where am I?"

(OOC: She's back to being Clara.)


(Desiree, thinking): While they're distracted, I'd better get out of here.

Alex slowly got up, and walked over to Clara.
"It's okay... Everything's over with now." Alex said, and then looked over to where Desiree was, only to see Luke grab the back of her dress, and toss her backwards.
"... Not so fast, you." Luke said with a frown.

Desiree: "er...."

(Nara): "Sir? Something strange is happening with President Grimes...he's insisting he's a mushroom pixie."

Luke narrowed his eyes, as he charged up an aura sphere in his hand.
"So; this was all a trap, huh? To destroy us? Looks like your plan failed." Luke said with a frown on his face, as he held the aura sphere in front of Desiree's face, ready to fire if needed.

"Um..."

-==IC: Luke==-

"Well?! Speak up!" Luke said, getting annoyed at the former Noctra.
You told me this was a plot when you tried to kill me. Do you have anything to say for yourself?!"

"I..er...we....."

*Kicks Luke in the jaw and bolts*

However, Black grabbed the back of her dress as well, and tossed her backwards as well.
"Hmph; no courage when you're not outnumbering your opponents?" Black asked, as Alex frowned, and was not quite sure what was happening.
"... Okay; what'd I miss?"

*struggles*

"Hey, you were the one who decided to betray us." Black said with narrowed eyes.
"So I wouldn't complain."

"meep."

*stops struggling*

-==IC: Luke==-

"I repeat. Do you have anything to say for yourself?" Luke asked, still holding the Aura Sphere near Desiree's head.

"...er...I plead the fifth?"

-==IC: Luke==-

"Sorry; doesn't work for me; this ain't America." Luke said, as he continued to aim his Aura Sphere toward Desiree's head.

OOC: =P

"Ierumwellyouseeitumerwellther eanderum..."

Luke didn't say anything, but whacked Desiree upside the head to either knock her out, or at least make her be comprehensible.

"The squirrels made me do it..."

OOC: Alex missed her betrayal...shouldn't he jump in to save her?

"The Noctra were involved in starting the war."

"What now? Can't leave you alone for two minutes without getting attacked by something?" Alex heard the voice, and was surprised, as a magnetic shortsword cut through the hands, and Black stood there with his scowl on his face.

IC: The hands reconnected and continued pulling him.

Alex found himself back in the world of white.

Also, answer to my question? If you don't know what an Intersect is; it's basically a 'computer' of sorts, though it obviously wouldn't actually be a computer. Basically, Alex would have a lot of info in his head which he could recall whenever the thing activates, which isn't always when he wants it to. Like; he can't just concentrate and activate the Intersect. =P

OOC: No. after exiting the tunnel, you forget most of what you see. You do get amazing Shaping Powers though.
IC: "Heh. That was the Truth of the universe."

Alex smiled, and then walked up to Nara quickly... But tripped on the way, due to him not being used to his new leg yet. Alex fell flat on his face with a grunt, as the former shaper grunted.

BOOC: Due to Aethea's location and the fact that airplanes/large ships have not been invented yet (thus insuring that foreigners are unlikely to be able to reach Aethea), people with dark skin are rather rare in Aethea. (People from the nearby country of Crentoa do have dark skin, but since Crentoa and Aethea are at war, there isn't much travel between the countries).

"Hello General." Alex said, and attempted a salute with his new arm, which was quite interesting to watch, as it was like watching a fish flop around on the land. Alex eventually just gave up, and used his left arm to salute.

"Good to see you're OK. What happened?"

"It's a long story; but I believe I should explain it where there's some privacy. And a place to sit down, I'm not kidding when I say it's long." Alex said, meaning the report on the Noctra, though he wasn't sure if the General meant anything else.

"Let's get back to my office."

"Alright." Alex said with a nod, as he followed Armis.

*Armis's office*
"So..what happened?"

-==IC: Alex==-

Alex explained everything that had happened since he left to find out where Jackson was, up until just now with Quel, also mentioning the fact that the Noctra were permanently gone.

"..Wow. and that also explains who shot at me..."

-==IC: Alex==-

"What do you mean?" Alex asked, a curious look on his face.

"someone shot at me."

-==IC: Alex==-

"And you're thinking it's Quel...? But why would someone shoot at you?"

"Because I served in the Crentoan border war."

-==IC: Alex==-

"Ooh. That makes sense, now."

"Anything else?"

-==IC: Alex==-

"That seems like it, for now." Alex said with a nod.

OOC: Interesting that he didn't mention anything about the Gate mission. =P

"alright. I'm assigning you to investigate this 'Quel'. Dismissed."

Alex nodded, and turned to walk out the door, but tripped because of his mechanical leg, and fell to the ground with a thud.
"... This really seems like a downgrade..." Alex muttered, as he stood up and brushed himself off, and continued on out the door, not having a clue where to start looking.

*The Kokuro are in the hospital's cafeteria*

OOC: Hint: whenever you're lost, the Kokuro will inexplicably pop up. =P

OOC: But... We're not in the hospital. =P

OOC: Alex isn't. But Black still is.

OOC: Black can't see the Kokuro, though. =P

OOC: He saw the Truth...that's a near death experience for sure. He can probably see them now.

OOC: True, though not much can rival him, it seems. =P

OOC: IC post please.and even if Black doesn't know about the Kokuro, he should still notice something off about them.

Black looked around with a sigh as he stood up, and walked over to the cafeteria, and then sat down.

*Gen looks at Black thoughtfully*

Black walked through the cafeteria, and sat down at a table, ignoring everything else.

*Gen shows Misery something in the book he's always carrying*
*Misery nods, and hurls a knife at Black*
*Gen facepalms*

Black caught the knife swiftly, and then turned his head to glare at the Kokuro, even though he had no clue who they were, or why they tossed a knife at him. In fact; he didn't care, as they wouldn't be around much longer, in his opinion.

*Misery hurls a fork*

OOC: And that is how she gets your attention. =P

Black caught the knife, growled, and hurled the knife back toward Misery.

Misery giggled happily as the knife and fork hit her in the chest.

Black blinked, and then narrowed his eyes.
"Mind stating what's so funny about you being about to die?"

(Misery): "Come on. Hit me again! Stab me! Give me pain!♥"

*Gen and Masamori suddenly become very interested in Gen's book*


OOC: If I had a sister like Misery, I'd pretend I wasn't there too. =P

"You're crazy, you know that?" Black said, and stopped up, and then turned away, as he shook his head.

(Gen): *sigh* "May we talk to you for a moment?"

OOC: is it possible that Black had a sibling that died in a non-Noctra related accident?

OOC: Possibly, what's it for? =P

"Exactly why would I want to talk to crazy people like you?"

OOC: Well, the Kokuro would have been the ones to escort the sibling to the next world, which would mean they know enough about Black's past to unnerve him.

OOC: Ooh. Good idea. >=D

OOC: So, brother or sister? Younger or older? Did Black care for them?

OOC: Older brother. Hard to tell whether he cared/cares for anyone, of course. =P

OOC: What's his name?

IC: (Gen): "You should have a seat."
(Misery): "You should stab me with that knife."

OOC: No clue. Be mysterious. Given that I haven't even revealed Black's true name... =P

"And the reason for me to listen to some random person whose companion just tried to kill me is...?"

"Do you remember, four years ago, when your brother died?"

Black narrowed his eyes, as he turned to Gen.
"I don't have a brother." Black said with a scowl, as he turned away.

OOC: Technically he's not lying. =P He never said what line of thinking he was using for that deduction. =P

"You did. Four years ago. The accident."
*Misery grins cruelly*

"It was no accident." Black said, as he narrowed his eyes, and turned to Gen.
"How do you know of that though? Were you the one who made that accident happen?" Black asked, ready to use his Magnetic Shortswords if needed.

"Oh no."

(Misery): "I only kill girls."

(Gen): *Glares at her* "When he died, we were the ones that escorted him to the next world."

Black just stared at the Kokuro for the next few moments in complete silence, and then smirked, as he laughed.
"That's the single craziest story I've heard all day. You must've just gotten lucky in guessing. So long." Black said and turned around, as he chuckled, and started to walk away.

OOC: He doesn't believe you for obvious reasons. =P

*The three Kokuro were suddenly standing in front of him*

"Ask us anything."

"Alright, I'll ask you to go away." Black said, as he narrowed his eyes.
"So you have high-speed movement; that's nothing new."

*Misery picks up a knife and cuts out her stomach* 
*Five seconds later, she's perfectly healed*

(Gen): "Have you ever heard the tale of the Kokuro?"

"Not really; and not really interested, either." Black said, these people really starting to annoy him. So they have high speed regeneration. So what? After fighting the Noctra, none of this was new to him.

OOC: =P

*Masamori rings his bell, and Black and the Kokuro are outside a broken down hut in the middle of a forest*

*Everything is bathed in a green and red light.*

"Gotta admit, this is new..." Black muttered, but then shook his head.
"But after being around Alex for those last couple fights, I'd say nothing's guaranteed, and everything's possible. ... Now I'm even using his lines..." Black complained under his breath as he shook his head.

(Gen opens the door): "Enter."

Black narrowed his eyes, but slowly entered.

(Gen): "Saetoro, if you please?"

*Misery snaps her fingers, and Black is suddenly at the exact time of his brother's death, watching everything that happens...from the eyes of his brother.*

Black growled, as he was forced to watch that.
"... What do you want from me?" Black growled, as he glared at the Kokuro when he had an opportunity to.

*The Kokuro are not there, and Black is now at the part where he dies*

Black growled, as he shook his head, noticing his younger self nearby, and growled again.

*A minute after his death*

*The Kokuro appear*

Black heard himself ask (in his brother's voice) "Who are you?"

(Gen): "You are among friends."

(Misery): "It's time for you to go."

Black frowned, as he waited for this to be over with.

*The vision ends suddenly*

Black glared at the Kokuro, as he stepped back.
"... Just what do you want?"

(Gen): "Do you believe us now?"

"Maybe. I've heard of people with mind abilities, so I'm still a little cautious, but if you'd tell me what you want from me; then I might suspend my disbelief for the moment."

"We want your assistance in completing the Ritual. In exchange, we will provide you with information."

"What ritual? What information?"

"The nature of the ritual is not important...and the information will help you and Alex."

"What I meant is how am I supposed to help with some ritual?"

"Just be yourself..."
(Misery): "And kill people!"

Black thought for a moment, and then nodded.
"Can't say I disagree with those terms."

OOC: I have a funny feeling that Black's definitely the John Casey of the RPG. =P And if you don't know who that is, why haven't you been watching the awesome show that is Chuck? =P

OOC: Never heard of him or the show. ^^;

IC: "Good."
*They reappear in the hospital*

IC: (Misery): "Do it quickly, and I'll give you a reward."

"What kind of reward?" Black asked, intrigued.

OOC: =P This might turn out to be a nice time to shape Black into a more structured character, remove some of his enigmaticness. =P

And really? You got rid of like 12 characters at once just now. =P But what existing characters could be a female 'lead'? =P

OOC: Nara is out, she's a side character. Raven Payne is a child. General Payne is busy, and Misery...I doubt she'd be wanted as a lead. =P

OOC: Raven/General Payne? The Aura users?

And that's true about Misery. =P And nara's only gonna be a side-character? Darn, she could've been the ninja-spy-person in our comparison. =P </jk>

But you do need to make/add some more chars; at least 5 characters are now gone. =P(Which... you also have to scratch off the list. ::)) Oh, and Jackson.

Oh, and speaking of characters; I told you Grimes was Paranoia. =P Or at least Paranoia was possessing him ala Ignorance. =P

Speaking of the story, will any of those characters appear here at all? I know it's obviously separate; but that may also help our problems out. It'd allow multiple missions, too. =P

Black narrowed his eyes, as he neared the building, and got his magnetic shortswords ready.

Black frowned, and walked through the front door, taking note of the location, as he walked up to the secretary, and asked what was in that room.

"...Storage. Why?"

"Thank you; someone just climbed through a window." Black said, as he ran off in the direction of the room.

Black panted, as he ran down the hall, and then looked into the room, and then looked around to see where Quel had gone.

*Pitch black, no sound*

Black narrowed his eyes, and then snapped his fingers, and flames appeared. Black raised his eyebrows, intrigued at that actually working like that, and then moved forward, taking caution not to have anything be effected, though the flames seemed to be staying in one spot somehow...

IC: *A poison dart flies at Black*

Black took note, and nimbly dodged the poison dart quickly, and turned to look in the direction it came from.

OOC: Dang, she seemed like she would've been an interesting character. =P You never did utilize the Guardians in the RPG at all, anyway. xP

OOC: Well, the Guardians are nothing more than Shapers that work for the Aethean Government. So Alex is technically a Guardian.

IC: *A spray of daggers files out of the darkness*

OOC: I see... =P You never did make that clear. xD I thought that they had control over specific elements? Or was I mistaken? =P

Black frowned, and quickly created a barrier of stone, as he moved to the side quickly, aiming to move toward the source as fast as he could without getting hit.

OOC: They are not Toa. =P

IC: *Quel attacks from behind*

OOC: I never said they were. =P

Black turned his head as he quickly stepped to the side, and attempted to grab Quel's arm, to toss her into one of the nearby walls.

OOC: We're going to break stuff, yes yes. =P

Quel slipped free and threw a chair at Black.

Black quickly drew his magnetic shortsword, and sliced through the chair as it flew toward him, and then knocked the resulting halves back by shaping concussive force in the air to move forward.

Quel jumped over Black, stabbing at him from behind.

Black, however, quickly parried the blade away, and struck out toward Quel with his second shortsword, a scowl on his face.
"I'm taking it you're 'Quel'."

Quel said nothing, choosing instead to fire a rain of poison darts at Black.

OOC: Could I theoretically shape stuff around me to move quickly, or so?

Black rolled forward, as he slashed upwards with both swords. He kept an eye on the darts, and would shape something to shield him if he needed to, but for now, that wasn't exactly high on his priorities, if he could dodge it.

OOC: Yes, I think so.

IC: *Quel fades into the darkness*

Black narrowed his eyes, as he shaped the darkness into light, and then shaped energy around him as he moved forward.

OOC: So theoretically I could make it seem like it was a teleportation, when it was really just extremely fast movement? It wouldn't be teleportation, and would only be short-distance, but... =P

Just asking. Also, slightly related, you need to start getting into Bleach; by the time you get to the new arc, there's something really interesting you'll want to see. It involves the new powers, which are awesome.

IC: Moving even faster than Black, Quel struck from behind.

BOOC: Adult Swim is already so far in...I don't have any clue what's going on.

Black's eyes widened, as he barely whirled around to block the blow, and got knocked to the ground, and slammed into the wall, with a wince.

OOC: Hmm... That could be a problem, yes. Want me to give you a slight recap? I'm not quite sure where the dub's up to yet, but the info you need to know doesn't exactly include the Arrancar/Hueco Mundo Arc anyway. =P

But really; you'll want to watch it once the anime catches up to the manga... Those new powers I was mentioning... They're very cool, and will really remind you of something.

If you need to... Have you read any manga before? That might be another possible idea, since you won't have to deal with any filler arcs slowing down progress to getting to the Lost Substitute Soul Reaper Arc(The current one. ;))... Just however long Viz takes to translate it and catch up. =P

Quel faked a punch to the left side of Black's face, then kicked him hard in the stomach.

Black winced as he took the kick, however, he grabbed Quel's leg before she could pull it back, and quickly acted to attempt to knock the female mercenary to the ground.

Quel sprang back to her feet.

Not before Black slammed his elbow into Quel's face, however.

Quel jumped backwards.

Black quickly followed, as he slashed out toward Quel.

*Quel places a poison dart between her middle and index fingers*


Quel punched at Black.

Black quickly stepped out of the way, and stabbed out at Quel quickly.

Quel dodged and punched again.

Black dodged and stabbed once more.

Quel dodged, kicked at his left side, and punched at the right side of his face.

Black quickly side-stepped, and slashed out at Quel's hand in question, aiming to simply take the dart away... However, if he literally disarmed her, he wasn't exactly too worried.

OOC: Black can't see the dart. It's smaller than a human fingernail and Quel is concealing it.

OOC: Yeah, well, that was mostly for you so that you didn't think he was trying to take her arm off for no reason. ::)

Quel quickly dropped to the ground, kicking at Black's legs.

Black then jumped up, and slammed his sword down toward Quel.

Quel dodged, then jumped out the window.

Black narrowed his eyes, and ran to the window to see where she was headed.

There was no sign of Quel.
OOC: She jumped out a 20th story window.

OOC: I thought you said it was the first floor? 0_o

OOC: No. We're twenty floors up. If I said first floor, that was a mistake.

OOC: I see. =P Because you said that Quel went through the window into the storage room. ;)

OOC: yeah. She climbed the wall.

OOC: ... I thought you meant a wall surrounding the place like a courtyard. ^^;

Black narrowed his eyes, and quickly ran off to find out where Alex was.

(Armis): "Did anyone else hear a crash?"

Black winced, as he walked up to near where Armis was.
"I did. I just repelled an intruder." Black said, a frown on his face.
"I'd also suggest increasing security around here; even if it doesn't seem needed." Black said as Alex frowned as he ran toward them.

*Armis raises an eyebrow*

"I'm with stupid." Black said, pointing at Alex, as Alex's eyebrow twitched.
"I was coming here to warn of a mercenary named Quel being here, and got into a fight with her. She jumped out a window, but... Given that she nearly overpowered me, I wouldn't doubt that she somehow survived, and is going to try to get in here again. Likely soon."

OOC: xD

IC: "Hm..she's gone after me three times so far...I barely survived."

OOC: =P

"Yeah, well, I'll make sure that stops. Stupid here can help if he wishes." Black said, as he looked around the hall cautiously.

OOC: Comic relief time? Maybe have Armis force him into the army/government/whatever before he can continue? Without giving Black an option? Then we'd just need that female lead and we'd have the team basically.

"Actually..only military members are allowed to deal with stuff like that."

"Yeah, well I work alone." Black said, as he slightly sighed.

OOC: That's what they all say. =P

"In that case, I'll have no choice but to arrest you for interfering in a military investigation by killing several Noctra."

Black narrowed his eyes.
"... Fine; I'll join." Black said a scowl on his face.
"But I get a gun, that's non-negotiable."

"...Fine."

"Alright then. Now what?" Black asked, not sure what there was to do now.

"Quel is still somewhere in here. Split up and find her. She's wanted alive, but if you need to...shoot to kill."

Black nodded, and picked up his gun.
"Fine by me." Black said with a smile, as he walked off, and Alex nodded, and went off the other way.

OOC: Why do I have the feeling that Armis is gonna regret that statement and giving Black a gun? =P He's not going down the Jackson route, but he might have a different line of thinking what 'need to' means. =P

"...I have a  feeling I just made a mistake."

Black gripped his new gun with both hands, as he slowly walked down the halls, cautiously pointing his gun in front of him while he walked.

*Quel crawls through the air duct*

Black paused, as he thought he heard a noise, but shook his head, and continued to walk along the hallway.

*Quel climbs into the vent above Armis*

Alex paused as he walked, and looked above himself, as he heard a noise in the airducts directly above him, and then looked in the direction it was headed, and sighed, and ran back toward General Armis, as he pulled his gun out, and then pointed it at the Airducts.
"Get down!" Alex yelled out, as he fired a couple bullets at where he hoped the person was.

OOC: </sensing>

Armis dove downward as Quel hurled a grenade through the vent.

Alex ran over to the grenade, and quickly threw it back up into the vent, as he dove down to avoid the imminent explosion.

Quel was already gone.

Alex narrowed his eyes, as he tried to figure out where she had gone.

*Quel climbs into the basement*

-==IC: Black==-

"Going somewhere?" Black growled to Quel, as he walked up behind her, and pointed his gun toward her.

OOC: I think we should just not try and find out how people get 21 floors down quickly. =P

OOC: Timeskip? =P

IC: "No. I'm taking you to h***."

-==IC: Black==-

"I believe you've got that one backwards." Black said, as he clicked the safety off, not taking the gun off it's target.

Quel pulled out a grenade. "If I go, you do too. The basement has a super powerful generator. This grenade will take out the entire city!"

-==IC: Black==-

"I've got ways of dealing with that thing." Black said, as he aimed the gun toward Quel's head.

*Quel hurls the grenade at the generator*

-==IC: Black==-

Black quickly moved in front of the grenade, and then grabbed it, and shaped it's inner components quickly into something that was harmless.
"... Any other tricks?"

"Well...there's the real grenade, of course."

-==IC: Black==-

In response, Black created a steel wall that blocked the generator off from access.
"And now...?"

Quel chuckled. "The grenade is inside the generator. It can be activated remotely or on a timer. You. Lose."

-==IC: Black==-

"I call your bluff." Black simply said, as he fired a shot off at Quel's head.

*dodges*
"Alright, if you insist."
*Quel pulls out a remote control from her pocket*

-==IC: Black==-

"Are you armed?" Black asked, as he narrowed his eyes.

OOC: You dodged... A gunshot... 0_o ... Then again, I don't think I'm one to complain, IIRC. =P

OOC: Quel is the fastest human alive. =P

IC: Quel placed her finger over the button.

Black fired off three shots at Quel quickly, also aiming for potential spots where she could move to, and firing at those too.

Quel dropped to the floor. "One more shot, and I press the button. I don't fear death."

Black snorted, and then smirked.
"Press the button, you have no clue if I shaped it into a harmless button presser or not." Black said, as he aimed his gun right at Quel's forehead.
"Also, what are you using to bank on that actually working? The generators being something to explode? What if it wasn't using fuel that does well exploding-wise?"

OOC: You've gotta admit, Black does have a few points. =P He's had a few chances to remotely shape the detonator into a harmless device that might at the most open and close some random garage door. =P

OOC: Quel is a nutty extremest.

IC: *Quel pushes the button*

*Loud beep from the generator*

Black fired off the shot before she pressed the button, and smiled.
"Looking for the source of the beeping?"

*Quel dodges*

"I know where the beeping is coming from. The generator will blow in one minute."

"You're stupid, you know that?" Black asked, as he rolled his eyes, and quickly appeared behind Quel and grabbed her shoulder.

OOC: Time to explosion: 1:00.


IC: Quel slipped free and jumped back into the air vent.

BOOC: There are air  vents in the basement.

Black deactivated the steel walls, and quickly moved to where the device was, and reached out with it, the first thing to do was to change the explosive components to something harmless.

Nothing changed.


OOC: You can't alter something unless you know how it's made, and this grenade is a model you've never seen.

BOOC:  0:45.

OOC: ... You seriously want us all to die, don't you? >_>

Black's eyebrow twitched in annoyance, as he shook his head, and created a thick layer of steel around the device.

OOC: Yes, yes I do. =P

OOC2: steel won't be enough.

OOC3: 0:30.

OOC: Idea!

Black growled, and pulled the device out, as he quickly used his shaping abilities to get upstairs.
"PORTAL. NOW!" Black shouted to Alex, who, surprised, attempted to activate a portal; which accidentally opened under there feet. After they had passed through, Black threw the device away, after making sure that they had not appeared in a building.

(Greed): "...What are the two of you doing here in H***?"

OOC: =P

OOC: That where the portal went? =P

"Just stopping in; be sure to enjoy your nice gift." Black said, before disappearing into the second portal Alex created, moments before the grenade actually exploded.

Black sighed, as for once they appeared where they really wanted to be, the office.
"... Did we just see the Noctra?" Black asked as he blinked, realizing who and what they just saw.
"Naw, must've just been a costume." Alex said with a shrug.

(Armis): "What happened?"

"Quel happened." Black said with narrowed eyes.
"She's out of her mind. Tried to blow up the entire building, and with it the entire city. Tried to grenade the generators. I couldn't even shape it into something else. In a way, I wish I had've been able to at least deactivate it so that I could examine it, but..." Black said and frowned.
"I think she's still here; we have to evacuate the building."

"Agreed."
*Presses a button, alarm sounds*

"I tried to kill her, but..." Black yelled over the alarm, as he looked toward General Armis.
"She's fast; extremely fast. Dodged every single one of my bullets."

"That...isn't normal."

"Tell me about it... I was even shaping my movements to make them faster. Don't ask how; I'm still figuring that one out myself; it's mostly like an intuitive sense right now."

"Interesting..."

"That's a recent discovery... Maybe stupid's new found powers rubbed off on me." Black said, as he pointed to Alex.
"I take offense to that." Alex stated, and Black waved his hand at him dismissively.
"Yeah, yeah, I take offense to your existence, let's call ourselves even."

OOC: xP That's gonna cool off soon, I said his character would change, and though it already has a bit, it's still gonna take a while for him to actually warm up to Alex, and not consider him a pest. =P

*Armis rolls his eyes*

"Alright, so... What's the next plan of action? Do you think Quel's still in the building, even after the alarm?" Black asked, a frown on his face.

"I doubt it..."

"Next question, where should we look for her next?"

(Genshimo): "Try checking the church."


OOC: I love having the Kokuro just pop in. =P

Black and Alex both jumped, and turned around to point at the Kokuro.
"You again!" The two yelled simultaneously, obviously startled.

OOC: Armis theoretically should be able to see them too, right? =p

OOC: No. No he cannot.
IC: Armis: "WHO?!"
*Misery bows*

OOC: Huh. I'd've thought a crazy mercenary trying to kill you like a hundred times would allow him to see them. =P

"The Kokuro." The two shapers said simultaneously, and then looked at each other.
"How do you know of the Kokuro?" Alex asked, and Black took a sudden interest in the wall.
"It doesn't matter." Black said, and Alex shook his head.
"The church...? Why there...?" Black wondered, as he frowned.

*Armis looks around for the Kokuro*

(Misery): "I guess she's asking her God for help."

"I see. At least there aren't any of her targets there... Are there?" Black asked, wanting to make sure of that.

(Genshimo): "I doubt it."

Black nodded.
"Good. Portal guy, take us away." Black said, and Alex's eyebrow twitched again.
"I'm not your chauffeur..." Alex muttered, but attempted to open a portal to the church anyway.

*Armis continues to look around in a panic*

*Misery chuckles, and the Kokuro vanish*

"They're gone." Alex said, before he and Black stepped into the portal.

(Armis): "...Why am I no longer weirded out by this stuff..."

"Huh; for once you got us here." Black said, and Alex looked at him.
"I got us to the government building." Alex said, and Black just rolled his eyes, as he changed clips, and prepared for the inevitable shootout that was coming up.

*Quel continues her prayer*

Black approached, as he pointed his gun at Quel's head.

"Shooting me in a church? You Aetheans really don't have any morals. You deserve to be obliterated."

"I'm here to do that, he's just here to watch." Black mused, and chuckled.
"And it's not really a case of where it happens for me."

"Then shoot. Prove to God how heartless you are."

"No." Black said as Alex grabbed Quel's arms, and Black kept his gun pointed at Quel's head.
"We're going outside."

*A giant eye opens in the floor*

"What is that...?"

The hands emerged from the eye.


(Quel): "You see? My God will help me."

Black prepared himself, as he nodded to Alex.
"Get out." Black said, as Alex nodded, and tried to bring Quel outside.

The hands grabbed onto the three of them.

OOC: Unless you want to pay ANOTHER toll... ::)

OOC: You've gotta be kidding me. xD

OOC: So, what if I don't want to take the toll? *Looks at Quel* Hmm... >=D

OOC: uh-oh...

OOC: Bwahaha. >=P So, what now? =p

The hands pulled Black, Quel, and Alex through.

OOC: There is still one question though... Who keeps opening the Portal? >:D

OOC: Portal? Alex by accident? xP </jk> It's not Truth, I'm assuming? ... Is that emote a hint? =P

Alex growled, but didn't fight it this time.

OOC: 1: doubtful. 2: Nah. 3: No.

IC: They reappeared in the white void.

"Yeah, we already were here. Do it to her." Black said, and pushed Quel forward, as Black and Alex simultaneously took a step back.

OOC: =P

Truth grinned and pulled all three of them through the portal.


OOC: You remember what happened last time, so I'm not recapping it. =P

"No, no, no, no! No portal; no truth; I'm good thank you!" Alex said quickly, not wanting to lose more limbs.

OOC: =P

*Alex reappeared in the church*

Alex blinked.
"... Okay, that's new." Alex said, and checked himself to make sure he was intact.

OOC: xP Where would Black be currently? =P

OOC: Black didn't ask to leave.

IC: (Quel): "My god! Please, give me what I need to destroy those that destroyed my people!"

*Truth grins*

OOC: Well I only posted for one, but Black was pretty much wanting to pass everything to Quel instead, so she'd take the whole punishment. =P

"Hmph." Black said, and narrowed his eyes, as he glared at Truth.
"Any particular reason you brought us back here again, anyway?"

(Truth): *laughs* "I didn't bring you here, child."
