Title: CONTROL Post by: MsRowdyRedhead on May 15, 2011, 11:46:14 pm By now everyone knows what a pain in the bricks it can be to get a friend request, trade request or such at the wrong moment. Especially when it is intentional disruption of your game plan. There are several ways to mitigate this, and frankly I would like to see them all implemented.
1: A DND.. the ability to turn this feature off when about to visit butterscorch. 2. An Alert.. like the one that signals a pending chat from a friend. 3 The movement of the window to a less functional part of the screen, upper right corner, lower left both seem acceptable. 4. A smaller message screen. It doesn't need to obliterate the entire playing field. Another amenity that I personally feel would greatly enhance the experience would be the ability to resize and maybe move the chat screens, like we can the back pack. I usually leave local chat totally closed because it takes up space that could be showing me a flag or foe. Personally I would move everything to the furthest edge, and probably stack rapid chat over local chat over a row of friend chat, and maximize viewable space as much as possible. I think all these fixes are technically feasible. I hope they are considered. It would also work to give the chat and the pop up window ( friend and trade request) the same attributes as the backpack.. re-sizable (smaller as well as larger) and movable. If they were also layer-able or cascadable that would be a plus, as they could all occupy the same corner. |
