Cool, I would like to work for LU. Lucky is the guy who gets the job!

Makes me think, I have some post do do in the Dev Tracker's forum.

No way - they read my post at LUni...?

Either way the sooner the better. I'm sick of the same generic thing and the threat of a ban if I try to add some actual personal creativity to it... not that the UI isn't creative, it's just... I like to toy with things. :P

Hmm, wow.

Also, if after this they allow texture packs or something like that then thank you LEGO.

This could be very interesting.

Note that the main section description is "The Tools Programmer writes software that helps game developers create the gam"

Tools devs work on internal tools for dev and game designers.  So in this case the terms "users" refers to developers, not players or end users.

More than likely it an effort to improve the administration internally of the UI.  Also, companies are pretty careful about announcing/leaking end user features through job listings.

That makes perfect sense, ZG. Thanks for the clarification!

The interesting thing is… for the most part, that job description fits me perfectly, though a little rusty on the 3D math.  Ah… if only I was in a different place in my career.

Most of the 3D math involved in a tools programmers position is an understanding of linear algebra, trigonometry, and vector math.

Not sure where you're at in your career, but I assume that means that for one reason or another it wouldn't make sense for you to apply for this.

Had something like this been available a couple of years ago, I would have perused it in heartbeat.  Through a series of fortunate events, I am currently doing what is pretty close to my dream job, or at least on track for it.  Barring a call from LucasArts, I am not leaving anytime soon. ;)

Plus, it is in Arizona, right?  :P

We've been hiring for the last 4 years :)

And it's in Colorado. But that's great you're doing what you want already, I know how you feel. Doesn't feel like a job when you love what you do.

Great. *sigh*

Just when my hopes were getting up that LU would be taking a better stance. There goes that wishful thinking. :P

Well anything they do will be a welcome improvement IMO.

Also, they spelt Lua wrong, all capitals is not how you type Lua.
