Okay, I'll start off...
My favorite band is Rage Against the Machine, hands down. You know them? (they are a rap/hip hop/rock group from the 90's who were anti-war and commonly sung about politics)

I've heard of them, I had a song from the Matrix Soundtrack, but I'm not sure if they're the band that I've recently heard.

They're not the same as 'Rage Against', are they? If they are, then I've heard a song by them, it's on a game I recently got. Otherwise, I haven't heard anything by them in a while now, because I lost the one song when I edited up one of my MP3 Players, and forgot to save it. >>; I can get it again, but the point is it's not easily accessed right now. =P

@Blade: I do not believe there is such a band called Rage Against, infact, when I wiki'd it the result was a re-direct to Rage Against the Machine's page.
There is a band called Rise Against though (Rise Against is one of my all time favorite bands).

Oh; maybe I'm mistaking Rise Against for Rage Against The Machine... Did Rise Against have a song in NHL 2k11?

 You should listen to either Shame or Real World or 3 Am by them; those are probably their best songs.

If you're using videos to listen to it, and you see what looks like album art that says 'iris' and 'Awakening', then you've got the right Iris. =)

Listen to "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence. That's a really good song. I love the start.

It is a different style of music(They're classified as Synthpop); but they're a very good band.

Does anyone here like Coldplay? Their songs are fun to sing along with. A few of my favorites are: Every Teardrop is a Waterfall, X&Y, Viva La Vida, and Life in Technicolor ii. Youtube them if you're interested.  ;)

I've been getting into Rock more and more recently, though I also like Synthpop, Alt Rock, and Country.(Country was my original favourite Genre; but I've been listening to Rock stuff more. =P)

Rock is good if I need a change in my day, but usually I just stick with alt rock. Slow, cool songs are my thing. What is your favorite band?

I have a few favourite bands. =P One of them is Iris; a Synthpop band. Daughtry is pretty good as well; and of course U2... If you can tell, my favourite bands range different genres. =P

I like U2, but the only song of theirs that I own is Beautiful Day. What are some of U2's other songs you like?

Beautiful Day is very good(And is quoted in Raks' sig. =P)...

As for other songs; some off their most recent CD(last i checked) are good; like Get On Your Boots and I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight; and their older songs are good too, like Vertigo, 40, and some of their other songs I know of, but can't remember.

 I started listening to some music by Rihanna. So far California King Bed and Love the Way You Lie are my favorites. Especially the latter.

Some 40 Queen songs on CD were all that saved me from total anihialtion due to heat during an 8 hour trip back from vacation.

Jade: Yikes. Yeah, I can see how that'd be hard. =P When I had RB2 a few weeks ago, I had to use the PS2 controller. And to use that, you had to hold left. And to do that, you had to have like three hands, hold it down with something that wasn't your fingers, or have part of your thumb hold it down while pressing up to strum. It was hard... And that only had three of the buttons for the most part. =P

Could not figure out what button activated the whammy bar, however...

I don't have any CDs now because, well, I just moved back to the US.

 Most of my music is digital, I only have six or seven CDs.

I do.. including a few from MY parents!! Several milk crates worth.

My son has his own collection.. 5 milk crates full, but I am pretty certain several of my albums migrated to his collection.

I also have cassettes and a even few 8 tracks!

I have to admit, just like another song title says, I love to listen, listen to, Beethoven.

Classical music really rocks, after all, it is the root. Also, if you want to talk about power of projection, nothing compares to 133 brass instruments, 12 drummer boys and girls and a string section that reaches beyond fantasy. Electronic does not come close, though sadly, it will one day.

 I will say, classical music does have it's place. But it has nothing in comparison to the thrill of singing your heart out with modern music; I wish I had a glee club. =P

Keep in mind, Classical music was modern at those days.

My 63 year old Mother still sings 3 times a week at her club, Actually, come to think of it, there is a lot of talent in my Tree, including one not so well known Hollywood actor. I myself once sang in a band, for 3 days, I was then fired, sort of.  :)

A solo performance can always be in a choir, simply means that their talent gets to stand out amongst the rest...
Kinda like a Soliloquy in a play.

 It means that while the rest of the choir is singing, I'd be singing my own line, on a mic, and I would have the melody for that section.

Hmm? What do you mean? Explain a little further? Also, keep in mind; my keyboard's older than even my computer; as I've only recently decided to actually try and follow up on this. =P But I wouldn't doubt that there's a function somewhere... I just need to find it. =P

Every team also has a different chanting song. A lot uses "Let's go...(whatever time)"

1) the radio station in my city plays Adele all the time, which gets annoying.

2) auto tune doesn't even sound good. If it was just used to fix a few notes it would be fine, but people sound like computers, and pretty much anyone can get airplay nowadays.

Not me. If I want to watch live music I watch bits and pieces on youtube. but I don't do that very often.

There are some times when sounding that way could be good... It's just that no-one ever uses it in that way.

Like; one or two songs where sounding like a computer is a good thing, and is accompanied by someone in the techno or electronic genre is good; but not all the time. It just gets overused that way. =P

Yes, Daft Punk music sounds good with autotuned and overly synthesized and compressed vocals, but that type of music isn't generally marketed as vocal. The vocal parts in electronic music are (generally) using the voice as just another instrument (as in Harder Better Faster Stronger, Around the World etc.)
A lot of Autotune is now used in actual vocal pieces,  and it sounds awful.

^ I can think of a good example for some of the 'awful vocal autotunes'... =P

I've only heard two of Tyler Ward's songs; but it's only because he was singing with another group that was doing cover songs(But has their own songs as well, which are just as good, if not better.).

 Tyler Ward changes the music generally only by having a guy sing a girls part or vice versa; but it still sounds amazing. Other than that, the changes are just unavoidable solo preferences that no one can get around. =P
