Title: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Wantija$$$ on July 07, 2011, 02:17:19 pm This is basically a discussion topic for Smash 64, Melee, Brawl and the new ones coming out for the 3DS and WiiU.
Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on July 07, 2011, 02:20:52 pm I was wondering why no-one was posting in the Smash Topic; it must've gotten deleted in the restoration. =P
Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Wantija$$$ on July 07, 2011, 02:28:22 pm Yeah, I forgot about it and just realized that it was deleted so yeah. :P
Any particular characters you'd want in the new games? Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on July 07, 2011, 02:30:31 pm Megaman.
=P Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Wantija$$$ on July 09, 2011, 05:07:25 pm I wish more people on this fourm played these great games. Maybe we could brawl each other sometime via wi-fi.
Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: KnownandUnknown on July 09, 2011, 05:11:04 pm Just noticed this topic, I play Brawl! I wish a lot of characters were added, but from Nintendo only I'd have to say Toad. He awesome and I don't care what anyone says! *Hugs Toad plushie* He can wear his underwear up to his chest and still look awesome.
Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on July 09, 2011, 05:26:31 pm Wantija: We should sometime. Of course, it'd require me to stop playing Ocarina of Time, but... =P
KNU: Toad would be an interesting character, I'll give him that. =P Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Wantija$$$ on July 09, 2011, 06:45:18 pm I really don't see why people want Toad in Smash. Care to explain what he's capable of other than being just about as useless as Goldeen? :P
Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on July 09, 2011, 06:47:05 pm I wouldn't care either way, to be truly honest. =P
Though you have a point about moves... Trying to think of what he could do... Not really succeeding. KNU, any thoughts? =P Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: KnownandUnknown on July 09, 2011, 06:48:36 pm Well, he can shoot spores, as displayed by Peach's constant special (no direction) attack. He could also summon more toads, or dodge things because of how small he is. IDK...
And ironically, I've never played a Zelda game (for now), but my character of choice is a tie between Ness and Toon Link. Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on July 09, 2011, 06:50:10 pm Toon Link is fairly useful, I must say.
I rule as Ike, though. =P Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Wantija$$$ on July 09, 2011, 06:52:01 pm The character I main is fairly obvious *points at sig*. I just wish that he didn't suck so much in Brawl...
Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on July 09, 2011, 06:53:20 pm Wantija: You mean Captain Ganondorf? =P
Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Wantija$$$ on July 09, 2011, 06:57:49 pm Captain-Jiggly-Dorf, that is :P
The nerf they revived is a reason why I barley play Brawl (but FFA's with custom rules on custom stages are a blast with friends though). Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on July 09, 2011, 07:02:33 pm Eh, I have nothing to compare it to. =P
Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Wantija$$$ on July 09, 2011, 07:11:35 pm Well Link did get worse through out every smash game (except for some minor buffs).
Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on July 09, 2011, 07:16:20 pm Yeah; I have noticed he's different from Smash 64 to Brawl...(For one, his Spin Attack)
Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Wantija$$$ on July 11, 2011, 08:49:00 am He also gained air-doge to tether recovery and did get the Hero's Bow in Melee
Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on July 11, 2011, 09:02:46 am Err... I thought he already had a bow? =P And yeah, the tether is pretty cool, can't remember if they used the hook/longshot in 64 though. It's been sooooo long since I last played it. =/
Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Wantija$$$ on July 11, 2011, 09:30:05 am He had the boomerang in 64. He had the hookshot in 64 too, but tethers weren't programmed into 64.
If there were tethers in 64 link could actually recover. :P Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on July 11, 2011, 09:32:11 am True. =P Though, he could; with a nicely timed Spin Slash. Unless he fell too far, then it was over for him. ::)
And I thought sure he had a Bow as well as the Boomerang, seeing as he has both still...(Granted the Boomerang's got Gale powers now, but still. =P) Could be remembering wrong, but... This video made me realize that Link can ACTUALLY recover in the original. Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on July 11, 2011, 09:39:37 am Huh. So the Bomb Hover Blast makes another appearance; this time in Smash. xD
That was pretty cool though. =O Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Wantija$$$ on July 11, 2011, 10:29:43 am Hover bomb blast? Is that something from OoT?
Anyways, anyone here heard of Project M? Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on July 11, 2011, 05:44:48 pm 1. Yeah; the Bomb Hover Blast is one of the glitches from OoT. I personally haven't tried it before, but it sounds pretty cool.
2. I haven't; what's that? Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: KnownandUnknown on July 21, 2011, 01:59:48 pm Topic revival!
Yesterday I got my gamecube controller (it's really nice, from Japan and is a model never released in the US, it has a 10 foot cord and matches the Wii!) and I'm already in love with using it on Brawl. The c-stick smash attacks are great and easy! So, what control scheme do you guys use? Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on July 21, 2011, 02:10:57 pm Gamecube controller all the way. Smash attacks are so easy to use on that.
Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Wantija$$$ on September 02, 2011, 06:53:21 pm @Blade: Late but whatever, Project M is basically a Mod of Brawl (not illegal) that makes the physics like Melee's, while keeping Brawls graphics, stages, characters (some of which are getting new movesets to match their Melee playstyle) ect. Here's a Video of the latest beta build:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiNH95r8Ius Also, Smash 4's development's gonna get started once KI:U is released! Title: Re: Super Smash Bros. Topic Post by: Magical Girl Mimi on September 02, 2011, 07:02:49 pm Yep, can't wait. =D
Now if only KI:U had a release date so we know when development will start. =P |
