(http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/mtmerrick/Beach/beach.lxf) So, what do you guys think? I would also like to point out, this is my first scene. Title: Re: Day at the beach! Post by: CheshireCat150 on July 17, 2011, 11:14:07 pm I'm impressed, mtm, this is fantastic. The detail is incredible, and you executed it beautifully. I love the seaweed washed up on the shore, and the shark's body visible under water. The wave and sandcastle are especially artistic. Congratulations on the excellent model! :)
By the way, is that MsRR sunbathing on the beach? ;) Title: Re: Day at the beach! Post by: MsRowdyRedhead on July 17, 2011, 11:31:53 pm I'm impressed, mtm, this is fantastic. Congratulations on the excellent model! :) What CC said!!You did a wonderful job. I love the attention to detail, the whole concept, pretty much everything about it! This will be a challenge for anyone else entering the contest! Title: Re: Day at the beach! Post by: mtmerrick on July 18, 2011, 12:21:06 am CC: xD wasn't intentional to have her in there, but now that you mention it.... this also reminds me of an anecdote MsRR told me once about the beach and dolly parton. might've been subconscious :P
R8: I also would like to point out, i wasn't able to capture all the detail in the screencaps. if you guys download the file, play around with it, you'll see much more detail. @gradient - i do have some, but not as much as i'd like. i tried out a few ways to do it, and this was the best i could come up with. @ wave - arches? what arches? o_O Title: Re: Day at the beach! Post by: mtmerrick on July 18, 2011, 12:43:14 am ah, ok. i see what you mean.
that wave was HARD to build on LDD tho :P Title: Re: Day at the beach! Post by: Rakoua on July 18, 2011, 04:17:16 am Awesome! Tho I agree with R8, more use of the space would be great.
LDD doesn't support the bending 1x2, 1x3 and 1x1 round technique, I assume? Cause that could be used for the wave probably. And I love all the people ignoring the visible-from-space hugely oversized shark. =P Title: Re: Day at the beach! Post by: mtmerrick on July 18, 2011, 08:58:36 am IDK if it does or not, that's not a technique I really know how to use. ^^;
