Hi everyone! Here is my entry to the Summer Fun contest (http://www.mlno.org/index.php/topic,7049.0.html). My model, built completely out of LEGO, depicts two minifgs working happily in their garden on a warm summer evening. One of the minifigs is shoving earth in a small plot in the corner, and the other is relocating a tree.

My entry is the first scene I've ever done (same with mtm). Mindstorms is my thing, but this was a fun break.  :)

Feel free to comment!  ;)

Well done my friend, it's absolutely beautiful and what summer is all about according to my boss (wife).
Very cool Vignette, I remember Deb doing something similar on LDD years ago, I think she called it "My Secret Garden".

I will always appreciate the real ma-coy over the digital, though my entry will be LDD.

Good luck eh, and hats off to fine build.

Very good job! Now its a real competition!

Everything seems great, but what's the minifig piraka spine doing on the side of the shed?

Thanks everyone!!  :D I enjoy making small LEGO creations because they actually fit on my self by my bed. It looks great sitting up there right now.  8)

Haha... I wanted some kind of vine climbing on the shed, and that is all I had.  :P

I do love the Vignette you made, tell me though, what did you use for your white back ground and what setting was your camera on, reg. or Micro?

My camera setting was on regular (I think). For the background I used white sheets of card-stock paper, then used gimp to "smudge" the edges together. A VERY special thanks goes to R8 for his tips on creating a white background (http://www.mlno.org/index.php/topic,7169.0/msg,282011.html). I am still working on this technique (which is new to me), but I think I will become good at it eventually.
