Title: The Big Rig! Post by: Jayko on August 22, 2011, 01:56:34 pm Roaring down the road, it's the worlds largest Technic 18-Wheeler! Features: 114 Technic panels (a record also?), suspension, landing legs, RC Truck with powered duallies, pinion steering with auto return, working headlights, and opening hood with V6! Measures 3 1/2 feet long, 8" wide, and 11" tall.

What are the sides of the truck made of? I'm not very familiar with Technic. It looks like thin plastic pieces of some kind that you can link together... can you post a link of a couple of the sets you got them from?

CC, the sides of the truck, trailer, and roof are called Technic Panel 1 x 5 x 11 (http://peeron.com/inv/parts/64782)and came in abundance on the 2009 FLL field mat (there was a giant bridge in the center, that was made up of them, my FLL friend had 2 kits, and we obtained a free one from our regional tournament. He was kind enough to let me use the yellow ones, and I was able to supply most of the red ones. They are very versatile, and if you asked me what my favorite technic element, I would probably tell you "The bridge plate!" Title: Re: The Big Rig! And didn't have time to go back and fix it. The trailer can only turn about 45 degrees before locking up.... =/ |
