Welcome to Part two of the Alter Ego Contest!

In Part One, we built models - not minifigures. In part two, we build the exact opposite - minifigs, not models!

You can use real ABS or LDD, but you may NOT use MLN or LEGO UNIVERSE. This is still a MOC contest, not an avatar contest.

A minifig does not require traditional minifigure parts - you can make a small robot, something using skeleton/droid compatible pieces, even a small hardsui (http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/57080/12795829191_DISPLAY.jpg)t with a minifig head.

Also, custom parts (EG, painted, pieces, brickarms) are allowed, but you must say which pieces they are, and prove you have more real pieces than custom.

You are also allowed to make multiple views of your alter ego (eg, uniform and civilian uniforms), but you may not submit more than 3 different version of your minifig per entry.

One entry per person.

Entries begin October 7th at one minute after midnight, and close November 5th at 11:59 PM PST.

Voting opens November 6th and closes November 21.

Prizes will be announced alongside the closing ceremonies.

That is way too long for voting. Most votes come in within 4 - 5 days. Otherwise, great contest!

nope! anyone can enter - those who took part in part one and those who didn't. In fact, i'd like to see a wider variety of people enter this contest. ;)

I see one problem with part 2

You need to expand your perimeters, or you may not have the turnout you like

Maybe the contestants should provide a discription of the minifig?

The parameters are fine. MTM designed two great contests. It is up to the contest designer to decide the parameters.

They are fine, but if you please, perhaps a slight background to give the effect of a diorama, just an enhancing thought

Descriptions are desired but not required.  

And as for backgrounds, while they're always nice, they're also difficult.  Not required, at all

My beef with part 2 is this Mt, you are only asking for a mini-figure, I may be wrong, but I think the challenge is too limited and I know that most will enter with something, guess we'll see what we see eh?

I made this a broad, easy contest for the exact reason you want to change - I want something the whole MLNO community can and will enter!

Sounds like fun! I already have my ae built on LDD. Handheld items are ok, right? Also, everything I used was in the "minifig" section except one piece, and I am worried about it. Is it ok to use one round LEGO stud? The piece is barely visible, but is important to the structure of the creation. I thought it would be better to ask permission here than get disqualified later.  ;) Good job on the cool contest, and I wish I didn't miss the first part.

of course that's ok. :P did you see the hardsuit i linked to in the rules?

i also want to add, a small mount (eg, minfig horse) is ok as well.
